Drugged

Maya’s POV

I have been with Adric all day, he hasn’t been himself since he found out his best friend betrayed him, there is something different about him, he is driven by anger and hatred for her. I can’t help but to feel happiness in me because he wants to kill her, I have always wanted her dead and now it’s going to happen in the hands of Adric.

He is a mafia king and this is the second time someone from his mafia is betraying him, Calla worked with him, she knew most of the secrets which angered him, he trusted her all those years and now she stabbed him behind his back.

I’m so glad Stephen got the drug we needed, we would have to drug her and distract her dumb boyfriend, I don’t even think he is her boyfriend, he could be a spy that works for the Spanish cartel, I know she could do something like this.

“How do we go about with this?.”

“You have to calm down Adric, you can’t let her know we know, we have to be fucking discreet about this.” I say to him and he nods.

“Don’t worry about me, I can handle this.” He muttered against his breath.

We had it all planned out, Adric and Stephen will lure her upstairs and I know if it’s anything about the mafia she would do it in a heartbeat while Stephanie and I will remain downstairs with Sebastian, from last time we woke he doesn’t talk much, we have to make sure he doesn’t go upstairs so we will ask him for his help to make dessert.

Stephen and Adric won’t take long, the drug kicks in about two minutes and it wears off in ten minutes, so they will be able to finish without any suspicious from her fake boyfriend. I wanted to inform Stephen about her pregnancy before tonight but fuck with the way things are going, I don’t need him overthinking while we are on this mission.

I know I promised Stephanie but it will have to wait, I will inform him after Calla leaves, Stephanie will just have to be patience with me.

“I will be right back.” I smile to Adric before leaving.

I walk toward her room and laid a knock on the door, I hear a “come in”. She was on her bed, she just woke up from sleep.

“Did you tell him?.” She asks and I shake my head indicating a no.

“We have a little problem.”

“What’s wrong, is it the mafia.”

“It’s Calla,” her expression changed to a frown when I called the whore’s name.

“What did she do again?.”

“She is working with the rival mafia, she has been feeding our information to them, she is betraying Adric and Stephen.”

I start to fill her in with every single detail that took place today, it has being a long day.

“I’m not going to lie, no surprise to that.”

“I hated her but I never expected her to do this to Stephen and Adric, she tried to kill me.”

“Fuck, how are they taking it.”

“Not good, we have this whole dinner today. It has to go well, I promise I will speak to Stephen right after the dinner.” I say and she nods.

“Thank you for doing this.”

“You are my closet friend.” I smile.

I spent the rest of the day with Stephanie until it was time, I felt nervous knowing she is on her way here, Stephen has hidden the files somewhere she won’t be able to find it, Adric’s safe, it’s hard to access it or even hack it and well no one knows where it is except me, he keeps in somewhere no one can imagine it would be.

In the kitchen.

Weird right? The reason for that it’s because he has another safe in his room so if anyone invades the house, they will never think the main safe is in the kitchen, it’s beside the dishwasher so it’s hard to notice it.

“Everything has been prepared.” Bella says to me and I nod, I glanced at the food I made sure we didn’t make anything Calla likes,

“And upstairs.” I ask.

“The drinks are there.” She says, Adric would lure her into having a drink, I know how much she likes Adric or at least pretends to like him, she would take anything from him.

I had to refrain him from trying to poison her today, he can do that once we eliminate both threats and as for her father we know he will come for us once he finds out his daughter is gone, that is not a problem Adric has a way to take care of him.

Calla is a very smart woman I will give that to her, Adric has known her since childhood so he knew her very habit and how she observes her surrounding,

“Fucking smile Adric, don’t ruin the plan.” I say and he nods.

When I hear the bell ring, one of the guards opened the door and she walked in with her boyfriend, she had a fake smile on her face, she noticed Adric and runs to him to give him a hug.

“You saw me this morning Calla.”

That’s a good change of attitude.

“I know but I missed you a lot.” She smiled and I roll my eyes in disgust.

“I missed you too.” He muttered against his breath.

“How about you focus on the man beside you?.” She glared her eyes at me when I say that.

“Oh Sebastian, forgive your girlfriend’s attitude, come take a sit.” I smile.

I’m going to be extra annoying today, serves her right for trying to kill me.

I made sure she sat next to Stephanie so she would annoy her.

“You know I don’t like vegetables.”

“No one asked Calla, now how about we start dinner.” I fake smiled.

We started to eat. She would try making conversation with Adric which he encouraged while Stephen will get involved once in a while, it was a typical dinner with Calla.
