Chapter 5
Lola let go of Tony's hand after they crossed the street and headed to a beautiful park.
"Is it bad to give alms?" Tony asked
"Of course. Those riffraff have both hands and legs to work. They should find work to do instead of begging for our hard-earned money," Lola said.
"Are you working that much for your money? Thought your father was a CEO of a company."
Lola raised her eyebrows, regretting she had said too much, and thought about what to say to bail herself from his questions. She smiled and looked at him, saying, "I have a disciplinary father. He didn't want me to depend on him. That's why he can't control me anyhow."
"But he sent you for this blind date."
"Yes. After attending over ten blind dates, I count it as a fun thing to do. This is the only last day we would meet, anyway."
Tony smiled. "It's not in your choice to say that. I am the one to say we shouldn't meet again."
"What do you mean?" Lola stopped and put her hand on her waist as if she wants to attack Tony word for word.
"We would meet again. Would ask my father to choose another day for it."
"What do you want? Haven't you seen my behaviors for God's sake?"
"We can't know our behaviors in just one day. Someone told me you are a tomboy. And I want to get pounce on in my face."
Lola sighed heavily, hurrying away while Tony hurried after her.
"Stop following me," Lola said and fell as she looked back. She quickly used the opportunity to cut her shoe before he could reach her.
"Are you okay?" Tony asked.
"Don't touch me." Lola rose and pointed to her shoe. "Have you seen what you caused? Did you want me people to make fun of me if I walk barefoot?"
"Calm down. I would buy you shoes. Let's go."
"Can't leave here without seeing the new shoe. You should get it for me."
"I don't know your size. It would be better for you to follow me, since you only also know which color you like the most."
"It's blue. Now you know. I don't need to follow you."
Tony smiled and carried Lola, walking towards the street to find a shop where he can buy shoes for her.
"Put me down. What the fuck." Lola bites Tony's shoulder.
"I'm liking it. Bite me more." Tony laughed.
Lola stopped biting him as they were about to cross the street. The car stopped for them to pass. And Lola was so shy that she hides her face behind Tony's shoulder so that people won't see her.
'I am trying to end this date. Everything I did to spoil it makes it harder to spoil. What the fuck! I should have known I shouldn't have accepted what Ella wants. This guy is too stubborn. Or did Ella set me up?' Lola stopped thinking when a glasses door was opened before them and Tony walked into the shop with Lola in his arms.
Tony put Lola down before some blushing girls exchanging glances because a man carried a girl into their shop.
"May we have shoes? Blue shoes," Tony said.
"This way," a girl said and took them where lots of expensive shoes were.
Lola feels like going back and asking for cheap shoes, but she remembers what Ella taught. She must spoil this blind date by fire by force. But she hesitated for a while for the stubborn man might cherish expensive girls.
"Which one do you like?" Tony asked Lola.
"This one, this one, and this," Lola said and pointed at three shoes.
The seller raised her mouth in shock. "Do you know how much one costs? It's so expensive."
"What concern you?" Lola looked into the eyes of the seller and smirked.
"Alright. Pack everything for her," Tony said.
"What?" Lola and the seller were shocked.
"Why would you say that?" Lola slapped Tony's shoulder. "You don't like an expensive girl. Well, that is who I am. And I cannot change for your sorrow ass."
"My mom loves expensive gifts from my father. Why would I hate expensive girls?" Tony asked, smiling.
Lola gritted her teeth and quickly take a shoe. "This is enough for me."
"Okay," Tony said and looked at the seller. "She needs clothes, too."
"Stop. I don't need it," Lola said.
"Do you want to go back home in this dirty gown?"
Lola sighed. "Okay. Will accept one clothes."
Lola started regretting she was choosing one shoe and clothing.
'This guy was using tricks to make me do what he wants. Oh fuck! Am I dreaming? Catch yourself. You cannot lose. What should I do next? What the fuck. I can't remember what Ella taught me anymore.' Lola tapped on her head rapidly as they followed the seller to where beautiful and rich clothes were.
Ella's eyes almost popped out of her eyes as she saw these expensive clothes. She feels huge to stop Tony from buying it for him, but she needs to go against her feelings. She walked close to the clothes, and Tony sat down and watched her take over twenty clothes.
"Is that enough for you?" Tony asked.
"What do you mean?" Lola looked at him.
"Take more."
'Yes, I must take more. I won't fall for his trick this time.' Lola thought to herself.
Lola smiled. "How do you know I'm not satisfied yet?"
Tony walked close to her. "You are beautiful when you smile."
Her smile disappeared off her face as she hissed.
"I want to get pounce on the face," Tony said.
"This is the second time you would say that. What do you mean?"
"You want to know?" Tony smiled.
"Yes. What on earth are you saying?"
Tony was so quick to move his lips towards her lips, kissing her. Lola raised her eyebrows, and the clothes she holds slipped down from her hands.
