Alpha reckoning
The eastern wall of the vampire palace stood like a forgotten mountain — carved from dark stone, reinforced with blood wards and bone runes. It had repelled sieges for centuries.
But it had never faced Alpha Nick.
Storm clouds churned overhead, casting silver light on his shoulders as he stood before the wall, eyes glowing molten gold. His wolves flanked him, lean and ready, their eyes gleaming with fury and loyalty.
The world around them pulsed with tension.
Behind him, Beta Simon stepped forward. “Last chance, Alpha. Once we breach, we’re all in.”
Nick rolled his shoulders. “We’ve always been in.”
He turned toward the barrier — the seal of vampire magic glowing red with each heartbeat.
Then, without a word, he shifted.
It wasn’t slow, or graceful, or hidden in shadow. It was violent. Glorious.
One second, a man. The next — a towering beast, fur black as night, claws like curved blades, fire rippling down his spine. He was no ordinary werewolf. He was born of Alpha bloodlines and elemental ancestry — fury wrapped in muscle, sharpened by grief.
He lowered his head. Muscles bunched.
And then he charged.
The first impact shook the mountain.
The second sent cracks racing across the surface like lightning.
On the third, the entire eastern wall collapsed, roaring down into itself with a scream of stone and magic. Dust and power surged into the air like a storm breaking free.
Nick stood at the center of it, heaving, eyes burning.
Then he shifted back, chest rising and falling. he was raging with anger and his wolf Xenox wants to completely shred these vampires.
He could smell her now.
Marcia. She's near. Her smell is too strong.
Fire. Air. Ash and blood. Her scent lingered like a whisper in his veins.
“Go,” he barked, already moving. “Get to the others. I’ll take the hallway to Marcia alone.”
He sprinted down the dark corridor carved deep into the palace’s veins. No hesitation. No fear.
The guards that dared to block him didn’t last a heartbeat. He killed them mercilessly.
He didn’t even shift.
He just moved — one hand snapping a neck, the other slamming a vampire into the wall hard enough to leave a crater. His fury was cold, measured, dangerous.
He wasn’t here to fight. He was here to take back what was his family. No one mess with him or his family.
At last, he reached the door.
It was made of blackened ironwood, inlaid with vampire sigils and glowing threads of air magic warped by corruption. Nick’s chest tightened.
He remembered this door.
From Marcia’s memories. From the stories, his parents told him as a kid. His power was he can see People's memories. He had met with Marcia many a times. She was always loving and warm to him.
She had once told him: “If I’m ever taken, they'll lock me behind this door. Not because they fear me — but because they envy what I carry.” as she showed him the memories of her toremnt in thisnvery place during the war when she was young.
Inside was no ordinary cell. It was a cage built specifically for an elemental werewolf reinforced with silver-lined stone and laced with air-sapping wards meant to suffocate even the strongest.
Nick placed one palm on the cold metal.
And whispered, “I’m here.”
From inside, there was nothing.
But his heart beat harder. The moment she stirred, he let out a sigh of relief.
She was there.
Weak.
Barely conscious.
But alive.
His hands clenched into fists. “You think this will stop me?” he growled to the palace itself.
Then he took a step back.
His voice rose into the air — ancient, guttural, Alpha-speak laced with his bloodline’s command. The stones shivered.
The temperature dropped.
The fire in his chest surged.
Then he struck the door with his bare hand — elemental storm exploding from his fist as the air pressure around him dropped.
The door shattered into a thousand burning splinters.
Smoke hissed through the opening. Heat and darkness rolled out like breath from a dragon’s mouth
And inside, curled on the cold stone floor, shackled in glowing elemental chains, was Marcia.
She was tied to the chair. Her head has been healed but the scar remain.
She looked up slowly, her eyes dull, barely open but her voice cracked through the stillness.
" Nick? Is that you? ”
He was at her side in two strides, catching her before she fell.
“I’ve got you,” he whispered, voice shaking now. “You’re safe. I’m here.”
She coughed, her breath catching up. “It took you long enough.”
He barked a laugh, even as he broke the chains with sheer force. His arms wrapped around her — fire meeting fire, air curling around them both like a protective veil.
“I’ll never be late again, Marcia. ” he said.
She leaned into him, her strength gone but her presence undeniable.
“I knew you’d come.” Marcia said as she stood up and leave the room.
Erin and Zara created havoc inside the palace, the halls shook. They destroyed almost everything they came across.
Alfonso had also felt the breach. But he was frozen by his aunt. He couldn't move as much as he tried to. She is far more superior to him. He never mastered the ice magic. He thought it was useless.
But it didn’t matter. He was trapped. He can only watch from a far how his rein of terror and his thousands of vampires perish.
Nick had found Marcia. Now all he need is to find Erin. Then he was going to burn the whole kingdom down if that’s what it took to keep his werewolves people safe .
Marcia begin to regain her power as she walked out of the palace.
She tried to mindlink Erin and immediately got response.
" Marcia, I am coming. Wait! " The words are heard . Before she could comprehend, she was engulfed with a warm hug from behind.
Marcia immediately turned and higged her step daughter.
Erin cried her heart out as Zara and Nick watch Marcia console her.
Nick's werewolves are leaving no stones unturned incase of killing vampires. Many vampires were killed and thrown inside the palace.
Soon Gamma Jara and Henry joined them. After the werewolves finished throwing all the vampire dead bodies inside the palace, Marcia took Erin with her and together they summoned fire and burnt the palace down, bringing an end to Alfonso's reign.
Alfonso could only blame himself for her ignorance. It takes two days to unfreeze himself.
