SAMIA'S POV:-
I parked the car and stepped out. I gasped as suddenly Carlos grabbed me by my hand and threw me on his shoulder. It happened pretty quickly. I couldn't do much. I was giggling as he took me straight into the house. He went straight towards our bedroom and threw me on the bed. "Now that I am your Alpha, I shall do anything to you. And you will not say a single word." He whispered in his deep and dominating voice. I bit my lower lip as he crawled into the bed. I dragged myself backwards as he crawled towards me. I could see that he was at peace. Knowing that Erica was fine. He was worried about her. And so was I.
I guess I made the right decision to call Alpha Kaden to the birthday party. Although, Carlos was pretty mad at that time. But I guess it didn't take him long to see what I could see. Those two belonged to each other. And the only wall that was standing between them was a truth. Something that Erica kept hidden all this long. I thought it was both Alpha Kaden's and Nickolas' right to know what happened to Alpha Kaden's sister, Alicia. Those were two most important men in her life. Just a small lie actually turned the table. Who told that lie, I wasn't sure. But I was glad that Erica was able to clear the clouds. She finally understood the reason why truth was important.
I gasped as Carlos pinned me with the bed. That was when I was pulled out of the oceans of my thoughts. "What were you thinking about, my queen? I thought you can't think about anything else while I was with you. I guess I was wrong about that." He asked me with this cute pout on his face that I had never seen before. He could behave like a child sometimes. I couldn't help myself and before I knew it, I was laughing hysterically. That face was so cute that I couldn't hold myself. He growled as he saw me laughing. He leaned in and buried his face in the crock of my neck. I started laughing hard as he was tickling my neck.
"Okay, okay! I am sorry. You were just so cute. Stop it now!" I said while laughing. He pulled he heard out and gave me a winning smirk. He laid down on the bed and pulled me on top of him. I rested my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around him. I was glad that we were okay.
"I was thinking about Erica. She went through a lot of hardships. Her life had been cruel to her. Especially when it came to the people she loved. Most of them ended up hurting her. I am just glad that she was now with Alpha Kaden." I replied to him honestly while rubbing my palm on his left breast. I liked to feel his heartbeat under my palm.
Hearing my words, he sighed. I knew what he had been thinking. "Are you sure he will take care of her? You are the one who told me what he actually did to her. Is it safe to leave her with Kaden? I know it sounds a little too much. I am just worried." He asked me in a low tone while rubbing my back. A wide smile appeared on my face as I sat up on his abdomen. He forced a small smile on his face. I could see that he was missing his daughter. If only I could find all the pendants, I would be able to find his daughter. According to Lucifer, she was still alive.
Because of Angel Suman's pendant, she was still hidden. I guess it was because of that bastard demon. If only I could find that bastard and kill him with my own hands. There were a lot of things I needed to do. But I couldn't do anything until I was done with my stupid past. "I know you are worried. But she belongs to that pack. She belongs with him. He is her mate. Despite everything they have been through, they are destined to be together in the end. And you know that too. Just give him a chance. I am sure he will surprise us." I replied to him while brushing my knuckles on his cheek. He smiled. Then he nodded his head.
I grabbed his hands and intertwined my fingers with his. "I want you to come with me. We will inform Chief Nickolas tomorrow morning. Then we will leave. I need to be done with my past too. So I can move further. I promised Alen that I would do everything I can to be happier. And I can't be happy until I get done with the people who have wronged me." I whispered softly while playing with his hands. He opened his arms wide and I gasped loudly. As I was holding his hands, when he opened his arms, I ended up lying straight on his chest. He did that on purpose. He chuckled softly as I punched his chest while getting up again.
He pinched my chin lightly and guided my gaze towards his. "Whatever you want. You will find me standing right beside you all your life. Unless it is death that stands between us, I promise I will never let go of your hand. I believe it is important to you. That's why you want to face it. But if you ask me, I am ready to marry you tonight, right now, in this room, without anyone around. It doesn't matter." His words always made my heart flutter. I had no idea how the hardships I had faced would turn into a reward that was actually Carlos. I never thought I was destined to be with this man. A man who became my strength. A man who was my destiny.
I cupped his face with both of my hands and pecked his forehead lovingly. "I know, it doesn't matter to you. I know, it won't hurt me either. But I want answers to some questions. I want to see what they would do if they would be hurt the way they hurt me. I have no idea how I got these powers. But I have a hunch that it has something to do with my past. And before I take a step further towards my future with you. I want to know why I was chosen to have these powers." I replied to him honestly. My words seemed to surprise him a lot. For a few moments, he was lost in the world of his thoughts.
It was actually true. It was not about hurting them. It was also not about avenging my father's death. While spending time with Carlos, I realised that all I want to know is why I was chosen to have this power. And what's the purpose of this power? "I know it's a little too different from what I have been telling everyone. But it started off because of you, Carlos. Being with you, I realised that I don't need anything at all. I was stronger with you by my side. You gave me strength. You are my strength." I added in a low tone.y voice pulled him out of the thoughts he was drowning in. He blinked a few times then opened his arms for me again.
Smiling widely, I cuddled up with him gladly. Yes, I wanted to burn down the part of that hell I was still locked inside. But I no longer want anyone dead. Not even Arman. "If that's the case, why are you still searching for answers. Just forget about it and start afresh. I can take you away. We can go back to the forbidden kingdom. We can start up our lives there. Everything will be perfect. If I am your strength, why do you keep looking at your past? Didn't it hurt you enough?" He asked me in a low tone while rubbing my back. His questions made me inhale sharply. He could read me like an open book. Something no one was able to do at all.
I looked up into his eyes and cupped his face with one of my hands. "You know exactly why you were gifted with the Sparator's powers. Why did Angel Gabriel gifted you something so precious? I have no idea why I was given these powers. And I want to know why me? After everything we have been through, I finally realised that I need to know how and why I was given these powers. So I can use them correctly. There is always a reason why destiny gives us a chance." I replied to him while staring into his eyes. He smiled and nodded his head in understanding. It was never too hard for him to understand me. I buried my face in the crock of his neck and closed my eyes.
"Whatever it is, we will figure it all out together. I promise you. You will find me standing beside you in every single battle of your life." He whispered softly in my ear as he started patting my back as if I was a baby. My heart fluttered at his words and I pecked his chest. The calm bears of his heart became my lullaby. I fell asleep while listening to his calmly beating heart. Dreaming of my future with the man who stole my heart because of his Innocence.
