THIRD PERSON'S POV:-
A sudden pain started rising in Alpha Alexander's chest as the sun settled down. At first, it was bearable for Alpha Alexander. But as dinner time came, Alpha Alexander's pain became unbearable. He was in the garden, walking back and forth while taking deep breaths. Being an Alpha and handling not just one but two packs at once, it was impossible for him to show any weaknesses to anyone. Especially not when his own father was standing against him.
All the lies that Milana had fed Alexander's parents were the reason why his parents thought of him as a bad man. "Alexander!" A low whisper echoed in his head alongside the song the wind was singing. That moment, his beast wanted to push his way out and follow that whisper.
It was a familiar cry that he was well aware of. He knew it was Athena, calling for him. Growling in annoyance, he set his beast free. Gordrix made an appearance and he followed the cries that were echoing in his ears. Those cries led him to the capital of the kingdom, where Queen Solana's Palace was. The guards stopped him at the entrance of the city; he was not allowed to visit without seeking permission from the queen herself.
Alpha Alexander was getting agitated and his beast lost control. He pushed his way through the guards. He made sure not to hurt them too seriously. But he had to go and see his mate. He was sure he could hear her sobs getting louder and louder.
By the time he reached the gates of the palace, the royal guards were able to put Gordrix to sleep using the werewolf tranquilizers. Breathing heavily, Alpha Alexander shifted back into his human form. Queen Solana's eyes widened when she watched one of the strongest alphas of her kingdom crying like a child for some reason that she was unable to grasp.
"Leave him! Go away!" Queen Solana ordered all the guards who were trying to keep Alpha Alexander pinned against the dampened soil. The guards raised back on their feet and walked away as soon as they heard the order from their queen. Alpha Alexander didn't raise his head. He was kneeling on the ground, naked. "I shall send your brother to talk with you." Queen Solana added in a calmed tone.
She turned around and walked away. She didn't have to walk too far from the entrance. Her mate, Collin Woodfang was walking toward the entrance just to figure out what was actually happening. "What is happening? Did someone try to break into the palace?" Collin asked Queen Solana in a concerned tone. After he left his pack, he promised himself to always protect his mate from all kinds of harms that followed her.
"It's someone who's in so much pain, Collin. I shall ask you to go and talk to him. And please take one of your gowns for him." Queen Solana used not more than a few words as always. And Collin knew that she was very serious.
Within the blink of an eye, he grabbed one of his gowns from his bedroom and walked outside. As soon as he saw Alpha Alexander's face, he almost rolled his eyes. He was unable to do so because of the tears that he saw in his baby brother's eyes. They were mirroring the pain in his chest. Collin threw the gown at Alpha Alexander. Taking the hint, Alpha Alexander quickly wrapped the gown around his naked body and stood back up on his feet again.
"What brings you to the Capital? I can say you would never come here to apolo…" Collin's words froze on his tongue as his brother was kneeling in front of him with his head narrowed. He remembered the proud Alpha Aurora Woodfang had trained and moulded since Alpha Alexander came out of his mother's womb.
"If that's what it takes for me to see her right now, I am ready to bow before you. She is in pain. And I can feel it. I can hear her cry. I can feel her loneliness." Alpha Alexander didn't hesitate at all. He straight up bowed in front of his older brother for forgiveness. Although he felt no guilt toward the matter that raised a conflict between the two brothers. For Alpha Alexander, his actions were forgivable since it became the reason that brought him closer to his mate again.
"I checked up on her. She was fine. A little frustrated, yes! Agitated, maybe. But I don't think she would be crying?" A sudden guilt rose in Collin's chest as he realized that because of him, Athena was in some sort of pain. Alpha Alexander stood up on his feet again and looked in Collin's eyes.
"She needs me right now. I beg of you, if you want. But I have to see her right now. Please!" Alpha Alexander didn't try to explain anything to his brother. Because to him, the most important thing was to get to his mate and hold her in his arms. Collin chuckled softly and shook his head. It reminded him of Aurora. How naive and pure she was. She moulded Alexander the same way. After all, she was the one person Alexander knew as mother.
"Who am I to stand in your way, brother?" Collin whispered softly and stepped away. Alpha Alexander smiled in excitement. He ran straight toward Athena's bedroom. As he reached her bedroom, he found Queen Solana standing in front of her bedroom. The key was in the hole, all Alpha Alexander was supposed to do is turn the key. With a curt nod, Queen Solana turned around and walked away.
Alpha Alexander unlocked the door and entered the room. He found Athena lying on the bed, her face was buried in the pillow as she cried. He quietly closed the door and walked toward the bed without making any sounds. Athena was a werecoyote just like he was, but at that moment, she was too disturbed to be able to pay attention to her surroundings.
The bed dipped from one side, making Athena gasp in surprise. She pulled her head out, ready to tear whoever had the audacity not to just enter her room without seeking her permission, but also dared to sit on the same bed as her. Her heart skipped a beat as she found Alpha Alexander sitting beside her, smiling at her.
Part of her wanted to play that hard to get game she had been playing him for quite a while. But as soon as he opened his arms for her, she jumped into his arms. She undid the belt on his waist that was holding the gown on his body and pulled open the gown from the front. She wrapped her arms around his waist and placed her head on his bare chest.
Despite the teasing game he loved to play with her, he decided not to do it that night. She had tears in her eyes, and even her anger was unable to hide the pain she felt in her chest. "What is hurting you so much, my sweet Bean?" Alpha Alexander asked Alpha Athena as he wrapped his arms around her.
"I have missed you so much. I just don't want to stay here anymore. I want to go home with you." Alpha Athena was sobbing quietly in his arms. Her words left Alpha Alexander speechless for a while. He was unable to understand what actually happened. Then he realized, after all, she was still that sweet innocent Athena he had met years ago.
"Athena! Baby! Queen Solana brought you here for the sake of our baby and our future. I can understand, you feel lonely but…" Alpha Alexander was rudely cut off. Or rather, to him, it was beautiful. Alpha Athena sealed his lips with hers. Her claws dug into the skin on his back and he growled in her mouth.
That kind of pain had always been so pleasurable for him since he could remember. He cupped her face with one of his hands, tilted his head and deepened the kiss. To him, it was pleasurable whenever she tried to dominate him. The war of dominance was nothing new between them. After all, they both were alpha's, born with that dominating Aura to rule a pack.
The moment he pulled away from her, her lower lip was swollen but his lips were bleeding because she bit his lips a way too many times. She was angry at him for leaving her despite all the cursing she did when they were left alone. She didn't want to stay behind.
Alpha Athena leaned in and licked Alpha Alexander's lips, just to heal the tiny love wounds she gave him. "I just want you to take me with you. I don't fucking care if I am to spend the rest of the pregnancy in a room and eat nothing but a bunch of raw fruits and vegetables." The determination in her eyes and the depth of her words mirrored the pain he felt in his chest.
Alpha Alexander couldn't help but smile. He was hoping for the same. In a month, they were not able to sleep at all. It took them a month of separation to understand how much they both loved each other. "Okay! If that's what you want, I shall take you with me. And I will make sure to take care of you by myself." Alpha Alexander whispered softly, making Alpha Athena squeal in happiness.

Alpha Athena had her arms wrapped around one of Alpha Alexander's arms tightly. A if she feared he would leave her behind. It was impossible for him to go against her wishes. Queen Solana had her arms wrapped above her chest as she stared at the couple standing in front of her. "Are you kidding me? I brought you here for your own good. Now you want to leave. What is going on?" Queen Solana couldn't help but ask as she saw the determination in Alpha Athena's eyes.
Alpha Athena had to tighten up her hold around his arm and Alpha Alexander was standing in front of her to explain the situation to his Queen. "Just like I can't sleep or breathe without her around me, she feels exactly the same. She is in pain. And it's dulling her. Can't you see?" He knew he was overstepping a little but he had felt in Athena's heart.
"I will take care of her by myself. I will feed her only things I will cook for her with my own hands and she also promises not to leave our bedroom." With puppy eyes, Alpha Alexander added. Collin sighed as he saw the same kind of determination in the eyes of his brother as he saw in Athena's eyes.
"Fine. You may take her. But remember, you both have to be very careful. You can't even trust your parents as they might try and kill your baby, or worse, try and kill your mate." Queen Solana was quick with the last warning for the couple. With that, she turned around and left. Collin gave his brother a curt nod then followed behind his mate.
Alpha Alexander pulled Alpha Athena out of the palace. He pulled the gown off of his body and let his beast take over again. Athena climbed up on Gordrix's back and wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him from behind. "Don't let go! Let me take you home, little Bean." Athena heard a hushed whisper in her ear. A smile spread across her face and she nodded her head.
Gordrix started running in the direction where his pack was. After about fifteen minutes, he walked into the mansion carrying Athena on his back. Everyone on the pack watched the way Gordrix carried his mate on his back. Something they thought would be impossible as Gordrix was practically very proud.
They entered their bedroom. Alpha Alexander shifted back into his human form. He scooped his mate in his arms and carried her bridal style. He laid her down on the bed gently. He was about to pull away but Athena wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him on top of her. "Careful, Athena. You don't want to get hurt." Alpha Alexander whispered in a concerned tone.
Instead of letting him go, Athena tightened her hold around his neck, as if challenging him to break free. Alpha Alexander smiled as he knew exactly what she was doing. To make her submit, he pushed one of his hands into the shorts she was wearing. He was gently brushing the tips of his fingers against her pussy, making her shiver in pleasure.
