SAMAEL'S POV:-
(The day Neal and Samael tried to kill Alpha Lucian.)
I opened my eyes and found myself lying on a hospital bed. Confused at the circumstances, I tried to sit up but the pain between my legs didn't let me move. I groaned in pain while clutching onto my balls. The door of the room burst open and a healer entered the room along with Jimmy. Of course it was him. He again interfered with my business. The healer checked me up and sighed.
“You shouldn't move for now. Or the stitches can come undone. And all my hard work would be flushed off.” The healer informed me and I was suddenly more confused than before. The healer walked away and Jimmy walked toward the bed.
“What is going on?” I asked Jimmy out of confusion.
“It was your slutty mate who almost sliced your thing off. You should be thankful that I was there. I got you out of there right on time.” Jimmy growled angrily at me. I was fuming in anger. When I had gotten control over her, he had to come and take me away. It had been like this since I could actually remember.
I was so angry, I was ready to break his face and scratch that proud smirk off of his face. But then my father entered the room and Jimmy walked away. My father was angry. As if I cared about his anger in any way. After all, it all started because he couldn't keep his small dick inside of his pants. And my mother was the same.
She liked to sit on young adult men's faces. They all were the same. I liked to be the man who only fucked one woman. But I couldn't do it because my mate was a slut like my family as well. Though, I was planning on getting her on the right path. The path where she would only open her legs for me. And would apologize for opening them for other men. I sent men inside to check her loyalty toward me. I watched her. She could have fought them, cut their things off. But she decided to let them fuck her.
My father was glaring at me and I rolled my eyes at him. “Why did you have to go there? I told you to be patient. I told you to stay calm. That you will get the chance to bring her back beneath your shoe. But you didn't listen and now, Dorian will be facing the consequences.” My father was growling angrily at me. I grabbed the glass that was set on the side table and threw it against the wall.
The glass shattered in a million pieces against the wall. “I don't want to hear anything about that bastard. His fate was set since the day you decided to fuck your mate again to get another child. He was only an accident. And the accidents are meant to reach the end faster. His death was locked the day he was born.” I growled at my father angrily.
As always, my mother started the sobbing game. As if that could change my mind any more. She used to sob in front of me and fill my head with lies about Eris. I didn't hate my brother before. But then I heard them laughing and bragging how I always believed my mother's tears and always made Eris kneel before my mother to ask for forgiveness. The hatred started from that day. And it was locked into my heart when he touched what belonged to me. Sure, Eris had seduced him. He was supposed to control himself and not sleep with my woman.
“How much are you going to punish him for that night, Samael? It was not his fault. She was in heat and she seduced him. He was an unmated single wolf who was learning to control his wolf. It's not his fault.” And that was my father, trying to defend his precious son for what he had done.
I was shaking my head at first when he started advocating for the bastard. But then I started laughing at my father. “How about, you let your brother sleep with your mate? Then I'll ask you how it feels. Or if you will ever be able to forgive them both. He had crossed a line he was never supposed to cross. His fate is to die like a bitch he actually is.” I growled back at my father for all that he had told me.
Shaking his head, my father took my mother out of the room. I laid back down and closed my eyes. My heart was aching and my eyes were stinging with tears. It hurt me the most when she didn't even pay attention to me. I was there for her. I was holding her. Even in the dungeon, she was always looking at me.
Something felt lost. Like it was not the same woman that I had shaped from the soft clay. She felt like a concrete wall. It wasn't bending, it couldn't be reshaped. And I couldn't even bust it with my fist.
ERIS' POV:-
I was sitting by the fountain. I was staring at my wobbly reflection in the water. I closed my eyes as I remembered how I never liked to look at my face in the water. I used to think that I looked ugly. As the time passed, I realized that it was better than the mirror. Mirror was brutally honest. But this water reflection could hide anyone's flaws and scars.
Gracie was left in the interrogation room. While her parents were called at the pack house because Alpha Lucian wanted to make sure if she was not forced again by her parents for doing whatever she did. Something told me she was not forced. But then I thought about her tears and the way she was blaming herself. My mind was all tangled up. The more I tried to think about the whole situation, the more my head ached.
When it became too suffocating for me, I stepped out to take a breather or two. “What are you doing here?” Alpha Lucian's voice rang in my ears and I smiled widely. When I turned around, all those uneasy feelings inside my chest vanished almost instantly. He sat down at the edge of the fountain with me. He looked at me through the reflection.
“Nothing! I was just worried about everything. There are too many questions in my head. And I can't seem to give it a rest. It was suffocating so I came out.” I replied to his question honestly. Alpha Lucian wrapped one of his arms around my shoulders and placed a soft kiss on my forehead. His lips lingered against my skin for a while. I closed my eyes just to save that warmth inside my chest.
“You don't have to worry about anything. You did your job. Now let me do mine. Let's go inside. Her parents are here. It's time to question her.” Alpha Lucian whispered softly against my forehead and I hummed softly. It was getting harder for us to keep our hands to ourselves. Whenever we were together, we were somehow touching each other, showing affection to each other.
Alpha Lucian pulled away from him and stood up on his feet. He offered me his hand and I grabbed his hand instantly. He took me back inside the pack house where everyone had been waiting for me. Gracie turned her gaze toward us. I shivered as I watched her gaze darkening up with hatred for some reason that I was unable to understand. I ignored it since I had to be present for the conversation as I was the Beta.
Alpha Lucian pushed his hand inside his pocket. He was holding my hand with it. My hand was also in his pocket. Alpha Lucian turned to look at Hank who was asked to question the parents. “They have no idea what she has been doing and if she has actually done that, then why?” Hank replied to Alpha Lucian's unasked question.
Alpha Lucian nodded his head at Hank then Hank stepped behind along with Gracie's parents. “Tell me, why did you do it?” Alpha Lucian asked Gracie in a firm tone.
I watched as she started shaking her head for no reason. Her attitude had started to worry me. “Answer me!” Alpha Lucian howled at Gracie angrily and she suddenly jumped in fear. She finally looked up at us. Her eyes met mine for a second and I saw hatred in her eyes for me.
“How could you do this to us all? You were with an Alpha and you are with an alpha. It's us who are expected to leave everything because you don't feel comfortable.” Gracie's words felt like they were meant for me only. But I didn't understand why she would say that.
“I asked you a question. I ask a question here.” Alpha Lucian growled at her angrily.
“Who is asking her? Her life is set with you. Just because I love someone she hates, I am supposed to be a bad person.” Gracie replied, again with a bunch of nonsense. None of us were able to understand what she was talking about and why.
“What are you trying to say? Say it clearly.” Alpha Lucian growled at her again, using his Alpha aura to force her to speak up. That was definitely not good. I knew if she kept that kind of attitude in front of Lucian, then she was going to end up in the dungeon.
“You knew I liked him. Because of you, everyone hated me because I liked Dorian. You said your life was destroyed because of him. You got another Alpha to bang you. So what's the point of turning me into a bad guy? I just wanted my love. I was asked for my shirt and an ounce of my blood.” Her way of thinking started to make me feel extremely sick. I never thought Gracie would see me like that.
“So you were ready to let me and Beta Eris get killed for some stupid fantasy of yours?” Alpha Lucian growled at Gracie angrily.
“It's not a fantasy. He loves me. His brother had told me.” My heart sank in the pit of my stomach when I heard her confession.
Just for her stupid fantasy, she even met Samael and was part of the whole plan in some way. “You have committed a serious crime. There is nothing anyone can do to save you anymore. You are punished to never be able to see the light of the sun again.” Alpha Lucian was quick to give his judgement.
There was nothing else left in that situation. She had conspired against her Alpha along with his enemy. It was an unforgivable sin. “Please, do something. She can't go back to prison.” I gasped when Gracie's parents were kneeling before me. They wanted me to do something to get her forgiveness.
“Don't kneel before her. Can't you both see? They are holding hands. Sluts like her get everything they want. Maybe Samael was right about you. It was only you who had fucked every other alpha out there. The sob story was for us. You liked being…” I gasped loudly when Alpha Lucian's hand collided with Gracie's face and she fell down on the ground.
“For a moment, I thought I was being harsh. But I know I was not just now. You deserve every bit of that punishment. How dare you talk ill about the beta of my pack?” Alpha Lucian growled angrily at Gracie.
I tightened my hold on his hand to stop him from going too far. “Tale her out of my sight. I never want to see this ill-mannered woman again in my life.” Alpha Lucian growled at the guards. Gracie was dragged away just like that. I was still shocked with everything that just happened in front of me. I couldn't believe she thought so ill about me. In short, Samael was still busy destroying lives.
