Twining In A Way
ARIANA
I was sitting on a counter, doing a little bit of make-up as he asked me to. Enzo had his eyes on me. He looked at me from behind with wide eyes and I couldn't see him drooling. I didn't understand why he would be interested in a walking skeleton. I didn't do much. A little bit of blush, thin wings of eyeliners, and lip gloss.
Once I was done, I turned around. I was about to hop off of the counter but Enzo was quick. He carried me in his arms and walked out of the bathroom. I was covered in a bathing gown so I wouldn't catch a cold. Paris was cold. But he was only in a towel that was hanging low on his hips. And as he walked, I was worried that his towel would fall off. But thankfully, it didn't fall.
He placed me on the bed then I watched him disappear in the closet. He shuffled through my bags then returned with a white woolen top and pastel purple short skirt with straps. He also brought me a pair of nude winter leggings. And a pair of Mary Janes. Along with my underwear. He helped me get dressed, as if I was some little girl.
I knew it wasn't a little girl thing. He was just worried about me. Once I was ready, I turned around to look at myself in the full view mirror. Everything was good, until I looked at my head.
Before I could have said anything, Enzo placed a woolen cap on my head, covering it. With wide eyes, I looked at the long hair that was attached to the cap. “You brought it all with you?” I asked, curious. He made sure to get the exact same color as the true shade of my hair, which was blonde.
He kissed my cheek, wrapping his arms from behind. “New memories is what I promised you. I didn't bring you here to give you new traumas to fight with. Of course, I came prepared.” Biting my lower lip, I couldn't help but smile.
“Now, that you are ready. I want you to go outside and wait for me. And if you can, eat something. I asked them to fill the fridge with some fruits, fresh juices, milk and cakes.” I nodded my head and walked out of the room.
In the kitchen, I grabbed the heavy loaded browny and filled a glass with milk and added chocolate in it. I was still weak. And whenever we had sex, I felt like I was starving. So I decided to eat instead of ignoring the urge to fill my stomach.
I was almost finished when I felt goosebumps rising all over my body. I turned around as I knew, Enzo must be watching me from behind. My fork literally dropped on the ground, along with my jaw. He was wearing a pair of skinny jeans that went a little too well with his long legs. And a white turtleneck.
In a way, he was twining with me. Then I saw his head and I felt like crying again. “Why would you shave your head when I told you, I didn't like you bald?” I asked him and he just smiled. He was leaning against the doorframe, arms wrapped above his chest.
He walked over to me. He grabbed me by my hips and made me sit on top of the counter. My breath hitched when he leaned even closer and sucked my lips, which were covered with chocolate and crumbs of the brownie I was eating.
I didn't know how that man had the power to leave me breathless whenever he wanted. “You don't like me at all. But I figured, you shouldn't be the only one bald when we go shopping.” He replied, as he took another fork from the drawer and fed me with his hands.
I didn't say anything. I just finished eating and he washed up everything. “I don't want to go to the mall. Or any malls.” I exclaimed when he was done.
“Good! I was planning to shop from the local markets here. I have heard that the local markets are better than the malls.” he replied without missing a beat.
I was still getting used to this Enzo who didn't want to boss me around, but deal with me with gentleness and care. Unless, I had to take my meal or my meds. It was all new to me.
“If you don't have anything left to fight, shall we go now?” He offered me his hand. Rolling my eyes at him, I placed my hand on top of his. He pulled me out of the Airbnb. I giggled when I looked at the car he had booked for us.
“You are gonna drive that? Will the great Enzo De Luca drive a baby pink Volkswagen?” I asked, giggling at him. Enzo didn't answer that. He was just smiling as he helped me into the car. Once he hopped in, he turned to look at me.
“I left the great Enzo De Luca at home before I came with you on this trip. I am just a plain old man, trying to impress a beautiful woman so he can get lucky.” By then, I was laughing at him and he didn't seem to care much. He was just smiling.
