Chapter 112 She Is A Gem, She Is Mine
Chapter 112 She Is A Gem, She Is Mine
Jaxon’s POV:
I parked the car in front of the house, and Elizabeth quickly jumped out and ran inside. I chuckled, imagining her sprinting up the stairs to lock herself in the bedroom; this girl was truly something else.
I walked into the living room and spotted Vicky, who stood there with a confused expression, likely wondering why her sister had come home running for the stairs.
I was about to head up myself when she called out to me, “Can we talk before I leave?” I raised a brow, surprised, as I had no idea she was planning to depart.
“Finally leaving huh,” I blurted out. She chuckled, standing there idly as if expecting me to agree to talk—which, in truth, I didn’t have a choice about. I had discovered a few things about Vicky: she was straightforward and persistent. If I didn’t allow her to stay here to look after Elizabeth, I feared she would have done something I couldn’t even imagine.
“When are you leaving?” I walked over to the wine bar at the far end of the house. She followed me as I pulled out a bottle of whiskey, poured two fingers, and shoved the glass toward her.
Vicky stared at the glass and shook her head in denial. “I’m leaving early tomorrow morning.”
I nodded and took a sip of my drink, waiting for her to tell me whatever was bugging her. “I have a house in PA and a good job.”
She paused for a moment before continuing. “So, I just want to let you know that Beth will always have a place to go. If you don’t treat her right, she won’t be afraid to leave, because she has me.”
“Do you believe I won’t treat her right?”
She sighed. “This situation going on between you and your mother is too overwhelming for Beth. Can you do me a favor and keep her out of it?”
I couldn’t refute her words because she was right. My parents undoubtedly loved Beth like their own, but for the sake of their own children, they were willing to hurt her, entirely unconcerned with how she felt about playing therapist or acting as the bridge between us.
“I will do you that favor,” I answered. I noticed her face relax with relief. There was a long pause, and I saw the struggle on her face; she chewed on her lip, looked around, and finally cleared her throat.
I didn’t say anything, letting her gather her thoughts and speak whenever she was comfortable. “So… uhm, Beth is studying a three-year program.”
Did she think I didn’t know that?
“And she might be sent out of school if she… if she…” She cleared her throat, and I chuckled because I understood exactly what she meant.
“I promise you that won’t happen.”
Vicky sighed in great relief. She picked up the glass of whiskey I had poured for her and gulped the entire contents down before sticking her tongue out.
“Ahh.” She dropped the glass and hurried away. There was something about Elizabeth and Vicky that made me wish I could have met their mother, but that was impossible—she was gone.
I walked to the bedroom after I finished my glass of whiskey. I looked around but couldn't spot Elizabeth. I walked to the window and pulled the curtains shut, then picked up a cigarette from the table. I was turning to find a lighter when the bathroom door pulled open, and my gaze landed on fair, wet legs.
My eyes trailed up to her full figure. She had a towel over her face, drying her hair, and the towel around her wasn't very long, leaving her fair thighs and cleavage on full display.
I bit down on the cigarette between my lips and watched as Elizabeth’s eyes opened wide when she pulled the towel off her face and realized I was in the room with her.
“You didn’t knock…” She ran back into the bathroom. I had the urge to go after her, to grab her and hold her in my arms—to feel her because I could, and because I wanted to.
I hurried over, blocking the bathroom door before she could shut it. Her face and skin were tinted with red as she stared up at me. “Jax… I need to get dressed.”
I pushed my way into the bathroom, closed the door behind me, and leaned against the wall, taking her in. “Then get dressed.”
She shook her head and took a step back as I took an equal one forward. We continued this dance until she was stuck between me and the sink.
“Jax…” I took the towel she was holding and let it drop. Her long black hair was messy, with damp strands sticking to her wet face, dripping water.
“You are so beautiful, my love.” I dropped the cigarette from my lips. Elizabeth gasped as I lifted her and made her sit on the sink, her legs slightly parted as I stood between them. I loved the red blush spreading over her skin, and I felt satisfied knowing it was the effect I had on her.
I trailed a finger down her cheek and watched her become as red as a beetroot. I sent my thumb into her mouth, and her gaze met mine.
Elizabeth Mitchell was my wife—the first woman who made me feel like there was more to life than work and arguments. She was beautiful and all mine.
I felt her tongue on my thumb, and she had no idea that little move just turned me on so thoroughly that I couldn't think straight anymore. I leaned in and kissed her cheek, my thumb still in her mouth.
She flinched a little, and I waited for her to adjust to the new sensations she was experiencing before I kissed her neck. I pulled my thumb from her mouth and rubbed her arm as I kissed her neck deeply.
She made a soft sound, and it was the most beautiful melody I had ever heard; I knew that sound would haunt me for life.
“Jax…” I stared at her. She was redder than usual, even for when I teased her. Elizabeth Mitchell—no, Elizabeth Sinclair—was a gem, and she was mine.
“Do you want me to stop?” I asked. No matter how much I wanted her, I knew this might be too much for her, and I was ready to pull back. But she wrapped an arm around my neck, shook her head in denial, and diverted her gaze, looking everywhere but at me.
“Look at me.” I wanted her to watch me claim her. Hesitantly, her eyes met mine, and I kissed her soft cherry lips. “I love you,” I muttered before lifting her off the sink and walking back to our bedroom. I gently placed her on the bed, though perhaps not gently enough, seeing as the towel slid off her body, leaving me with the fairest and most beautiful sight.
She noticed me watching her intently and wrapped an arm around her chest. I chuckled and moved closer. “What are you doing? You are so beautiful.” A blush appeared on her cheeks, and I pulled her hands away, taking in her features. I placed a soft kiss on her chest, and her grip tightened around the sheet. Using my left hand, I gently gripped one of her breasts and squeezed.
A soft moan escaped her again, and I felt so happy knowing only I could hear that sound. I was a hundred percent sure I would turn the city upside down if another man ever got to see her like this.
