Chapter 28: His Marriage Has Nothing to Do with Me
He did not break the tranquility, thinking she must have sought him out for something, and he would agree to anything she asked, except for leaving.
Oliver let Amelia bustle about, and during the meal, he enjoyed a feeding service with constant kisses.
Oliver was indulged in this, and with Amelia's rare initiative, he watched her, who had not stopped moving in front of him, feeling the peace of the years.
He pulled her into his arms and nibbled on her earlobe.
The warm breath sprayed on her neck; her sensitive spot was her ear, which was suddenly bitten by Oliver, eliciting a coquettish scold.
Amelia quickly covered her mouth, wondering what she was doing.
Oliver, with a smile in his eyes, played with her hair.
"Tell me, why are you so attentive? Do you have a request for me?"
"No, of course not. Am I such a person? I just felt I've been unfair to you in the past and wanted to be kind to you, a sudden attack of conscience. How about it, is my cooking great, are the dishes delicious?"
Amelia blinked with starry eyes, like a kindergarten child, eager for the teacher's praise.
Oliver gave positive feedback, maximizing emotional value.
"Delicious, but I think the cook is even more delicious."
He then kissed Amelia's lips; today, there was no one in the villa, it seemed like a good time for madness.
Not limited to the bedroom, perhaps they could try other places.
Amelia softened with a kiss and was now limp in Oliver's arms, allowing him to take advantage.
"How about it?"
Although it was a question, it did not allow Amelia to object. He carried Amelia towards the living room.
Amelia did not resist; she was about to leave anyway, so she would go wild with him.
Oliver was not gentle at all, but rather more frantic than ever.
He sent his assistant to investigate the people and things Amelia had been in contact with recently and found Lucas again.
Lucas had tricked Amelia into the hospital with a suicide attempt and had even hugged her.
Thinking of this, Oliver increased the pressure on Amelia's head, as if to crush her so she could not escape.
Amelia did not resist at all but finally could not help but bite his shoulder.
"Are you a little dog? Why do you like to wag your tail and provoke others?"
Amelia had no strength left and listened to the unclear latter half of the sentence, wondering who she had provoked.
Seeing Amelia silent, Oliver spoke sourly.
"You saw Lucas the other day, right? What magic does he have that you go to him with a wave of his hand?"
This was said in anger; Oliver was upset.
For some reason, when Amelia realized this, she felt much better.
Amelia smiled lightly, and Oliver, seeing it, felt silently enticed.
"I didn't. Lucas was going to commit suicide, and I didn't want to be suspected, that's why I went."
She really didn't want to be involved with Lucas.
Although Amelia explained, Oliver was still not appeased. He carried her horizontally and walked towards the bedroom upstairs; he must punish the disobedient Amelia today.
"He and the Cooper family's daughter will officially marry next week, and you should give up."
"His marriage has nothing to do with me; my heart has long been dead. My heart is now with you."
To verify the truth, Amelia planted a hickey on Oliver's neck, always leaving something behind, otherwise, it always seemed like she was at a disadvantage.
"After his marriage, I will assign him to the Japanese branch for training, and you will never see him again. Are you happy?"
"Happy, as long as I am with you, I don't care about anyone else."
Amelia's indifferent reaction successfully pleased Oliver.
The bedroom light was not turned on, and Oliver threw Amelia onto the bed, starting the second round.
Sleepless night, Oliver was out of control tonight, wanting to devour Amelia whole until the latter half of the night when Amelia had no strength left and fell asleep.
And then it was Oliver moving alone, with Amelia like a doll, allowing him to play with her.
The phone on the bedside table lit up, but Oliver didn't notice.
It was actually Chloe sending a message to Amelia: Tomorrow at three in the afternoon, the old place.
Amelia had no consciousness and didn't see Chloe's message until noon the next day.
Oliver surprisingly did not go to the company today; it was already noon, and Oliver looked very happy, making Amelia admire that men in their thirties still have such energy.
"Get up for lunch, do you need me to carry you?"
Amelia wanted to say no, but as soon as she touched the ground, she was slapped in the face; she couldn't walk.
Oliver laughed and carried Amelia in a princess hold and couldn't help but kiss her. Amelia had no choice but to hold his face and kiss him in various ways until Oliver was satisfied.
The atmosphere between the two became unusually relaxed.
Seeing the busy Oliver, Amelia looked up at him.
A thought flashed through her mind; maybe it's not bad to continue like this.
After lunch, Amelia had to prepare to meet Chloe. She tried and could barely walk.
She prayed in her heart that Oliver would go to the company quickly, but he didn't seem to leave.
After eating, he took Amelia to the sofa to watch TV and chose a literary love movie, quite nostalgic.
Amelia was on pins and needles and finally, at two o'clock, a call from the assistant called Oliver away.
"Stay at home and wait for me, I'll make it up to you when I get back."
Amelia smiled and saw him off, then went upstairs to pack. At three o'clock, Amelia appeared at the restaurant on time. It was now afternoon tea time, a habit of the wealthy young ladies, which she, as an ordinary girl, did not have.
She quietly watched Chloe eat the snacks on the plate, waiting for her to speak.
"To eliminate future troubles, I will arrange for you to go abroad. You can trust your grandmother to me; I will arrange everything for you. Do you have any objections to this proposal?"
It was quite humanized.
"I want to stay in the country; my grandmother's health needs me to take care of personally, and I will be at ease. You can rest assured, I will keep my word. Six years ago, I could leave resolutely, and I can do it now, find a place far from New York, and cut off all contact with Oliver."
Chloe was a bit embarrassed; she was not sure in her heart, but she held Amelia's weak point in her hand, so she was not afraid of her going back on her word, so she gave in:
"Alright, it's also to fulfill your filial piety in front of the elderly. I will arrange for you to go to California. The conditions may be a bit tough, but I will keep my word about your grandmother's medical security. I will find the best doctors for you. What Oliver can do, I can do too. You can go with confidence."
The two were calm throughout and had reached an agreement; now they were on the same boat, with the same interests.
"Then let's leave in three days, give you some time to break up with Oliver, clean up, don't let him still think of you when I marry him."
"Understood, thank you."
It was also from her mouth that she heard thank you, Chloe responded with a proud face:
"You're welcome."
