Chapter 482 Edward & Moira 27
Chapter 482 Edward & Moira 27
Moira's eyes widened, her crimson lips slightly parted, as she listened to Edward's words in disbelief.
After a long while, she finally said, "Say that again!"
Edward looked at her astonished expression, feeling both amused and heartbroken.
It was his fault; the initial definition was wrong.
Starting as lovers, Moira must have felt very bitter.
He had always been high and mighty since childhood, and many of his friends had kept lovers, so he was inevitably influenced, thinking that the pleasure of sex didn't count as having a girlfriend.
After spending a long time together, he found himself wanting to see Moira all the time and gradually became inseparable from her.
When something happened to her, he would also feel anxious.
He unconsciously wanted to get closer to her.
He wanted to give her a legitimate status and even had thoughts of marrying her.
Originally, he wanted to wait until her birthday next month to say it, but seeing her occasional insecurity made him feel heartbroken and guilty for his initial actions.
Edward turned her around and solemnly said, "I want you to be my girlfriend. Will you?"
Moira felt a sourness at the tip of her nose, and tears welled up in her eyes.
She buried her face in her hands and started crying.
Edward was at a loss, "Don't cry, it's my fault. I made you feel so humiliated at the beginning. You must have been so sad then. Moira, please forgive me, okay?"
Moira sniffled, her red eyes making her look like a little rabbit.
"When you gave me that status, I was fearful and sad, but I thought, given my family background, we were not a match. I was already content to be your lover. In this relationship, I was humble, but I was willing because I liked you and wanted to be with you, even if it was a humiliating status. Edward, I never expected you to give me a legitimate status and stand by your side openly. Now that you say it so solemnly, I'm a bit at a loss."
Edward felt heavy-hearted, thinking about how he had made Moira sad, and felt he had been too much of a jerk before.
"I'm sorry, I didn't do well. Will you be my girlfriend?"
Moira pouted, "You're still asking that now, silly. I was willing to be your lover, let alone your girlfriend."
Edward smiled and hugged her, "It's my fault. You can punish me however you want, as long as you're happy. Next month on your birthday, I'll announce your status, okay?"
Moira stepped back from Edward's embrace, "If I become your girlfriend, what if your friends and family don't like me?"
Edward's lips curved slightly, "My liking is the most important. If anyone doesn't like you, I'll cut ties with them."
Moira laughed, "You always know how to coax me."
"My decision won't change because of others."
"I don't want you to hurt your relationships with friends and family because of me. If they have opinions about me, it must be because I'm not doing well enough."
Edward knew her deep-seated insecurity. He placed his hands on her shoulders, "You're great, don't belittle yourself. Moira, I'm serious about you. From being lovers to becoming my girlfriend, we'll get engaged and married in the future."
Moira was still very surprised. She thought it was incredible to become Edward's girlfriend.
She didn't expect Edward to include her in his life plans.
Tears streamed down her face, "I feel like crying."
Edward sighed lightly, "It's my fault. If it had been a pure relationship from the start, you wouldn't feel such a big gap now. You don't need to be moved; you just need to enjoy my love for you."
Moira hugged Edward's waist, burying her face in his chest, "Can I be willful today?"
"Of course, you can do whatever you want, even to me."
Moira laughed, "Why are you so improper? Actually, I just want to cry on your chest."
"Okay. Cry, my chest is yours."
Moira cried out loud, soon soaking Edward's shirt.
After a long time, she looked up, "I've cried enough. Your shirt is wet."
Edward chuckled and pinched her chin, "How come you have so much water?"
Moira looked at him in shock, then blushed, "I'm just too emotional."
Edward raised an eyebrow, "I didn't say anything; you're overthinking."
Moira fell silent.
Edward put his arm around her shoulder, "Shall I take you for a walk?"
Moira nodded, "Okay."
Near the restaurant was a pedestrian street, with shops on both sides, mostly small handicraft stores.
Moira occasionally glanced at Edward beside her, "Edward, am I dreaming?"
Edward smiled, "Of course not. Otherwise, why don't you pinch me?"
Moira stopped, took Edward's hand, and bit it, then asked seriously, "Does it hurt?"
"It hurts, your teeth are sharp. But..."
Moira blinked her clear eyes, "But what?"
Edward leaned close to her ear, his magnetic voice entering her eardrum, "But, bite me again tonight."
Moira felt her face burning. Why did Edward always say such suggestive things?
She remembered the first time she met Edward; she thought he was an iceberg, and being six feet away from him could freeze someone.
Now it seemed, you can't judge a book by its cover, especially a man with sexual experience.
Moira pushed him and walked quickly ahead, fanning herself as she went.
She kept looking at the shops on both sides.
Suddenly, she stopped.
Edward followed her gaze to a DIY chocolate shop.
"Want some chocolate?"
Moira shook her head, "This shop lets you make your own chocolate."
Edward said, "You want to make chocolate for me?"
Moira stubbornly said, "Not for you. I just like DIY. I'll make it and eat it myself."
Edward couldn't help but laugh at her stubbornness, "Okay, my girlfriend will make chocolate for herself, not for her boyfriend."
Moira took Edward's hand, "Just kidding. I like DIY chocolate, and I'll give it to you. I like sharing joy and sweetness with you."
Edward held her hand, "Whether it's joy or frustration, sweetness or bitterness, you have to share it with me. We need to be honest, face things together, and solve problems together, understand?"
Moira nodded seriously, "I understand."
At this moment, Moira didn't know that soon, she would break her promise.
