Chapter 106 Chapter 106
Chapter 106
Tanakorn’s POV
Dad kept calling but fear wouldn’t let me pick up. I would come up with an excuse later on, but right now I needed to find out who circulated that audio to the team group. I needed to know what the person wanted.
Also Krit….had he seen it?
I didn’t remember seeing him after he left to answer a phone call. I needed him now.
“Tanakorn, are you sure you are okay?” Tang tapped me on my shoulder. That was when I realized how lost I was in my thoughts.
“How long have you been standing here?”
“Long enough to see how worried you look. Are you sure you are okay? I mean, I can take you to the school hospital if you feel sick.” I knew Tang said it out of a place of care for his friend, but I needed to try my best to hide the truth from him. I couldn’t let this get out.
“I’m okay and you don’t have to worry about me, just go and continue training with the team,” I said, trying to get rid of him, but my dad's calls never stopped coming.
“You are all sweating and you look like you're avoiding your calls... I’m worried and I can’t leave you this way.”
I felt my own skin with my hands and realized I was sweating profusely.
“It’s nothing much okay, I don’t need to visit the hospital.”
“It’s fine if you don’t want to go to the hospital, but at least let me take you to the dorm so you can get some rest.” With the look of things, it was going to be difficult to push him away.
I had to get on my feet and put on an act, hiding the fear. “Tang, trust me….. I’m okay.”
“All I need to do right now is to shower and get changed then return to the dorm. I left the team in your care, so go to them.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, get going.” I added more effort and he finally exited the locker room. I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower—spending a lot of time in there thinking about everything. A lot of what ifs played in my head and I was losing my mind already. I turned off the shower and put on my clothes, getting ready to leave, when Aaron came in.
I didn’t know what to say to him. Could he have found out that it was me? Did the person send a new video or audio that reveals me?
“There you are, your father is here.” The moment I heard it, time stopped.
My legs stuck to the earth..
I couldn’t even move.. Why was he here?
Don’t tell me he came here to disown me already.
“What did he say?”
“Well, he was angry when we told him you felt sick and needed a little break.”
“What about Krit?” I asked.
“He is still not back yet. I will get going now—just wanted to let you know your dad is searching for you.” I forced a smile at Aaron before he walked away.
Immediately I started calling Krit's number, but the annoying thing was the fact that he wasn’t even picking up his phone, nor replying to my messages. Where the hell is he?
I need him now more than ever.
I need to sneak out of here before dad comes in and sees me. I don’t think I’m ready for this.
I tried Krit's number one more time but it all ended the same—no response. I hurried, trying to leave, when I heard dad’s voice.
“Tanakorn, why haven’t you been picking up my calls and how dare you skip training with such lame excuses?” I closed my eyes for a moment, hoping the ground would just open and swallow me up immediately. There was no means for me to escape, so I told myself……. I just have to face my own fear.
“I didn’t know you called me, I’m so sorry.” I lied, unable to look him in the eyes. He didn’t say a word, and that meant he wanted me to finish answering everything he asked.
“I developed a running stomach, that’s why I excused myself from training.” I held onto my cross bag on my chest like it was my life force.
“I heard a rumor going round. Two teammates in such a relationship I forbade you to engage in since the time you left your old school to come here.” He began, and I swallowed my own saliva…. choking on it as he took more steps toward me.
“Is it you?”
My eyes widened. “No sir…. I.. I..” I stuttered… Gosh, at this point it seems I will end up exposing myself.
“Speak up, why are you stuttering?”
“It’s not me, sir.” I finally let the sentence out, hoping he buys the lie.
“I was shocked as well because everyone on the team knows it’s forbidden to date a teammate, but don’t you worry, I will investigate and once they are found, I will act according to the book.”
“Good, I know you will not disobey me, your father. About Warut,” he switched topics. Does that mean he believes me?
“I heard the news. I hope you never engaged in those activities with him?”
“No sir.”
“Good. What a shame, his family was down the moment the news started spreading. I will permit you today to go back to your dorm since you have a stomach upset.”
“Thank you, sir.”
A few hours later, I was at the dorm in my room and still no word from Krit.
Where the hell did he go to?
This is already past 10 pm and he is still not here.
Is he seeing someone new or what?
I wanted him and yet he was nowhere to be found.
Still pacing around and waiting for him, the door opened, revealing Krit.
“Hey love, don’t tell me you stayed up all night waiting for me to return….. that only means,” he moved closer, “you missed me, little master.” Trying to caress my face, I hit his hand away.
“Where are you coming from? Why haven’t you been responding to my calls and messages, huh?” I raised my voice at him.
“Slow down, love. One question at a time.”
“Fucking answer me!!!” I demanded, when my eyes landed on something on his shirt. “Is that a blood stain on your shirt?”
