Chapter 40 Didn't Do Unnecessary Things

Chase thought he must've heard wrong and walked over to check it out. To his surprise, he found two people going at it.

From where he stood, Chase could only see the guy's broad shoulders. The dude was thrusting hard, his dick plunging into the woman's pussy.

The distance wasn't that far, so Chase could even hear the wet sounds of their bodies connecting, which made him feel a bit awkward. Just as he was about to leave, he heard the guy speak. "No matter what you do, remember, you're mine!"

Hearing the guy's voice, Chase stopped in his tracks and instinctively looked back at the couple. The woman, barely able to speak, was bracing herself against the wall, moaning with her head thrown back.

From his angle, Chase could see part of the woman's pale face. To his shock, it was Easton and Cassidy! He could hardly believe it, but then he remembered Easton mentioning he'd been with Cassidy before.

Chase had thought it was just a one-time thing and never expected to see this. The scene looked more like Easton was forcing Cassidy.

"Easton, you're too fast; don't do this," Cassidy's voice came through, rough and husky from all the moaning, yet undeniably seductive.

Chase knew he should leave immediately. If Easton saw him, it would be hard to explain. But his body seemed to have a mind of its own.

Despite his brain telling him to go, Chase found it hard to move. So he hid behind a tree, watching as Easton pressed Cassidy against the wall. Listening to their passionate sounds, his mind conjured images of Easton's dick frantically entering Cassidy.

As the scene played out in his head, Chase felt a growing heat through his body, heightened until Cassidy's sharp cries and Easton's deep growl marked their climax.

Cassidy's moans were so seductive that no man could stay unaffected. At that moment, Chase looked down, surprised to find himself getting hard because of Cassidy's moans.

Realizing he was aroused during Easton's intimate moment, Chase felt super embarrassed and hurriedly left. Unbeknownst to him, just as he was leaving, Easton glanced in his direction, catching sight of his retreating figure.

By now, red marks had formed on Cassidy's wrists, and her arms were chafed and painfully red from rubbing against the wall. Waves of pleasure and pain surged through her as she gasped weakly. If Easton hadn't wrapped his arm around her waist just in time, she might have collapsed.

After resting for a bit, Cassidy finally regained her strength and started fixing her disheveled clothes, which were almost completely off. Easton, who had only partially undressed, was now tucking himself back into his pants.

Easton watched her coldly. "Cassidy," he suddenly called her name, but she just kept her head down, fixing her clothes, not looking at him.

Seeing Cassidy defy him, Easton felt a surge of irritation. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up. Seeing her wince in pain, he loosened his grip a bit, but his eyes stayed cold. "Cassidy, just do what you're supposed to, and I'll handle the rest. If you pull any more stunts, you'll regret it!" With that, he let go of her.

Cassidy felt a surge of frustration but knew she couldn't afford to clash with Easton right now. She needed to act quickly and devise a plan to leave him behind. Easton was not her future. Only by leaving the Cooper family and distancing herself from Easton could she find true safety and build her own life.

Unaware of the impact of his actions, Easton didn't realize he was only fueling Cassidy's desire to leave him.

After dealing with the marks on their bodies, they separated as if nothing had happened.

Cassidy walked back to the hotel without looking back, not caring about Easton at all. Back in her room, she sat on the bed, thinking about her next move.

Her only hope now was everything Ashton had left behind; she had to make the most of the assets he had bequeathed to her.

After calming herself, Cassidy called the lawyer. "I want to transfer the assets Ashton left me. How should I proceed?"

The question caught the lawyer off guard. He didn't know what had happened, but Ashton had told him before he died to help Cassidy with whatever she needed.

So the lawyer explained the process of transferring assets to Cassidy in a simple way.

Cassidy planned to liquidate part of the assets and transfer another part to Hailey. This way, she would always have some funds available, no matter what happened.

Cassidy entrusted the asset transfer to the lawyer, repeatedly reminding him to keep it a secret.

'Easton is too smart; if he hears about my asset transfer, he'll know I'm planning to flee. I can't let him ruin my plan,' she thought.

After the lawyer promised to be careful, Cassidy made several more calls.

After Ashton died, he left Cassidy in the care of his trusted lawyer and a few loyal subordinates. These individuals were unwavering in their loyalty and would never betray Ashton. Since Ashton had entrusted them to her, they followed her instructions without question.

"I need you to find me a safe place as soon as possible. It has to be somewhere hard to trace," Cassidy emphasized, and the other party agreed without asking why.

After making these calls, Cassidy felt her heart racing. She feared she wouldn't be able to find a way to leave within six months. But fleeing was her only option.

Meanwhile, after separating from Cassidy, Easton went to find Chase.

When Chase saw Easton, the thought of Easton's intimate encounter with Cassidy haunted him. He desperately wanted to ask Easton why he did it, but the words failed him.

Easton chatted with him about random stuff, just like usual.

Chase thought, 'Easton doesn't know what I saw, so there's no point in asking.'

But then Easton turned to look at him. "Chase, you saw it, didn't you?"
