Chapter 8 Welcome to his world
Chapter 8 Welcome to his world
Third Person POV
“How long has she been in there?” Lucien asks as he enters the dungeon again.
“She’s been there since yesterday you left, sir.” A man behind Lucien answered.
“You can leave now,” He ask and walked inside.
Lucien stop Infront of the metal door, the same one where he left Maelis inside. He pushed it open, and his eyes widened as he saw her kneeling on the ground, covered in blood. For a moment, Lucien felt a sense of unfamiliar feeling inside him, worry.
He was stunned as he stared at her. He heard grunts coming from the room. It was the six men who killed her friend sitting on the blood, nearly covered with each other’s blood, some of them hugging themselves. But Maelis couldn’t even notice the presence of Lucien.
She pushes herself to stand again and is about to swing the metal she is holding again, when Lucien catches it mid-air.
“One more blow and you’ll kill them, is that what you want?” Lucien said, and Maelis looked at him.
Lucien's mouth nearly opened in shock as she saw the eyes of Maelis, no empathy, a familiar emotion that he is designed to have all along, rage, and anger
“I want them to suffer the most painful death that this world could offer,” she said as she looked at him in the eyes.
“Then killing them with this bat won’t be that,” he said, and took the bat from her hand and threw it on the floor. “If you want them to suffer, killing them right now is not the answer.” He added, and for a moment Lucien saw Maelis eyes soften.
‘Sadness’
Maelis looks at the men in front before walking out of the room, limping. Lucien quickly followed her. As she took a step outside the room, Maelis felt like her knees just suddenly lost their strength, and she nearly fell on the floor when Lucien quickly caught her.
“Thank…thank you.” She uttered and tried to look at him, but her vision started to fade. Everything became too bright, and all she saw was a blinding light, and before she knew it, she fell unconscious in Lucien’s arms.
“Fuck,” He cursed as he carried her in his arms,
“Sir,” One of Lucien’s guards said as he rushed to him.
“Call Terron,” he said, and the man nodded.
LUCIEN is standing on the door of the room, leaning on the edge. He was watching from there as the doctor checked Maelis.
“She’s fine, just a few cuts, bruises, and she passed out because of fatigue. But just let her rest to recover, and she’ll be fine.” The doctor said. “I never seen her before. Who is she?” he asks.
“Just someone,” Lucien replied shortly.
“Just someone, come on, Lucien, you have never called me here to check someone.” The doctor said, shaking his head, smirking.
“Maybe you should change profession, Terron, from a doctor to a reporter. You like gossip so much,” Lucien said and walked towards Maelis, who was on the bed.
“If he is important to you, Lucien, I think you know what you should do,” Terron said, and Lucien looked at him with a glare in his eyes.
“She was sent by the La Vidas, so stop saying stupid things.” He answered.
“I'm just reminding you, you know your father,” Terron said. “Make her take this medicine, make sure that she’ll take them. This will help her recover.” He added and handed it to Lucien before leaving.
Lucien sat on the chair that was placed in the corner of the room when someone knocked on the door.
“Here are the documents that you asked her for,” the man said after handing a file of documents to Lucien. “Is there anything else you need, sir?”
“Make sure to send a doctor to the prisoner we just left, make sure they will live.” He said.
“Yes, sir.”
MAELIS was awakened by the sound of a door closing. She tried to open her eyes, but for some reason she felt likeher eyelids were closing on their own. She tried to look around as she opened her eyes, she’s in a familiar place.
“Argh!” she grunts as tried to sit.
“That’s a stupid thing to do,” a familiar voice she heard.
“Where am I?” She asks.
“In hell,” Lucien said as he walked towards the bed.
“If this is hell, I’ll gladly stay.” She jokes, but Lucien didn’t react. “Where are they?” She asks, but he stays quiet again. “Are they alive?” she asks again.
“You want them to suffer that bad, huh?” Lucien said as he poured water into the glass.
“They must live. They can’t die that easily.” She said as she clenched her fist under the cover.
“I’ll keep them alive,” he said, and Maelis felt like her heart skipped in joy.
“Thank---” She tried to speak.
“But first you have to answer every question I will ask you, or else I will be the one to kill them.” Lucien said and offered her the glass of water, “And I will make sure to dump their body in the same hole where I will bury the body of you first.” He added, he smirked as he watched Maelis’s face darken. “Welcome to my world.”
MAELIS is sitting inside the huge house of Lucien, she tried to look around as she walks towards the kitchen counter and pours herself some water.
‘There is no way I’ll escape this place, the place filled with his guards. Fuck this, I want to be close to him, but not this way.’
“Do you need anything?” A man who just walked inside the kitchen from the back door said.
“No, no, I’m fine.” She said and faked a smile.
“I’m Terrence by the way,” He said and offered his hand for shake hand.
“Martell.” She said and accepted it.
“Did you eat already?” he asked as she walked inside.
“No, I’m fine.” She replied shortly.
“It’s boring to be here, isn’t it?” He said and chuckled.
“Yeah, maybe the word boring is even an understatement.” She said and laughed slightly. Maelis placed her glass on the counter and was about to walk away when Terrence bumped as he stepped back from the kitchen sink at her, making her nearly fall on the group, but just in time, Terrence was able to catch her hips.
“Oh, I’m so sorry.” Terrence apologizes as he holds her. Maelis could help but grip his shirt to stop herself from. “You got a pretty eye----” Terrence spoke again, butwas interrupted when a gunshot echoed, which made both of them jump in shock.
“Fuck Lucien! You motherfucker you nearly shot me!” Terrence cursed at him.
“Maybe I should have aimed for you.”
