THIRD PERSON POV

Maelis's body stiffened for a moment as she saw the timer of the bomb counting down from 10 sec. She felt like her mind went blank for a second, but was able to pull herself together and jump out of the way. But the blast was too strong, almost sending her flying from the impact.

Maelis’s writ in pain as her body landed on the cold ground. She tried to open her eyes, but all she could see are smokes, and then another explosion was heard and felt again from the side, making her crawl behind the wall.

She grabs one of the guard that is lying on the ground, screaming in pain while holding his thigh. The bone in his foot is completely broken.

“Just hold on for a moment!” She said as she dragged him inside.

Everything was being covered with smoke, and it was starting to get on her as she caught. Maelis could feel it, but blood was streaming on the side of her head down to her face she drag the man inside the house.

“Ma’am, we need to get you out of here.” One of the guards said and grabbed her arms.

“No, we are not leaving him here like this.” She said and removed his hand from her and grab cloth and tied it on the injured guard's leg. “Just hang in there.” She said when another explosion was heard again outside.

Maelis cursed as she and they all tried to hide behind the wall, “Call Lucien now!” She shouted and grabbed the gun from the guard’s waist.

“Ma’am, you can’t go out there! There we are already surrounded. There are our people that is taking care of it, we are tasked to protect you.” The guard said and tried to stop Maelis.

“I don’t need to be protected,” She said and walka way and hid behind the wall of the door and peeked

Maelis could see mean in a pick up loading gun, “Fuck!” She cursed. “Go to the kitchen!" She ordered the other men to run as fast as she can upstairs.

Maelis immediately got to a position in the window and cracked it open. She looked at their gun, and she knew that hers would be of no use to them. She needs to make sure every bullet will nto be wasted if this is all she got. Suddenly, a drawer behind her opens, which made her look back and point the gun, but no one is there.

“What the hell?” She said and went to check it, it’s a drawer with a gun, a Sniper rifle.

Maelis don’t have to think who’s this, she immediately grabs it and loads it with bullets and positions herself on the window again. Gunshots echoed outsideas the attackers started to making bullet rain in the house. Despite the smoke, Maelis quickly set her target outside, immediately taking down two men. She could clearly see them panicking and trying to find where the shots were coming from.

She quickly pulled the window closed and hid behind the wall. She could hear bullets smashing on the class window, but thankfully, they are bullet proof.

She crawled to the other window, where she positioned herself again, this time she had a clear shot of them. Maelis mercilessly pulled the trigger of the gun, as the shells of the bullets were tossed on the ground, the attacker started to hide behind the car, half of them were already taken down.

“It’s like they already signed a contract with the fucking devil to die today, they don’t really have any plans to leave even if they’re dying.” She said as she tried to catch her breath and load her gun again.

She was about to aim at a target again and was about to pull the trigger when a car just smashed right into the attacker’s car, sending it backwards and almost crushing the enemy who were hiding behind the car.

Maelis frowned as she tried to make up who is the the insane person in that car.

‘Lucien, he’s here, he came.’

Maelis felt like something heavy was lifted from her chest. She couldn’t help but laugh like a crazy person.

“Now the fight is fair,” she said and got back to her position.

She watched Lucien shoot and kill every person that came across him. She couldn't help but smile. She Maelis smile immediately faded when she saw someone not too far away from Lucien sneaking behind him and was about to pull a trigger on him.

She quickly changes her aim and fires the trigger thrice, making sure that the man is dead on the ground.

Lucien turned around and saw that, and smirked, which made Maelis smile, he knows that’s her.

“I just save you ass,” she said as she pushed herself to sit and hold on the walk to stand up.

She tried to wipe her sweat, but the only thing that shocked her was that what was dripping on the side of her head was not sweat but blood.

“Oh fuck,” she said as she looked at her hand. She tried to walk while trying to stop her bleeding, but her vision was getting blurry and blurry.

She tried to shake her head and tried to make her way down the stairs, but she nearly stumble but luckily she was able to hold on to the railing.

“Fuck! Fuck them! I will fucking hunt them!” She heard Lucien’s voice and felt his hand around her shoulder, but she couldn’t see him properly anymore. It’s like she’s seeing three of him.

“H-hey,” she said, smiling, trying to fight herself from losing consciousness. “I save your ass…you know?” She said as her voice started to fade.

“I know, don’t be too cocky now, this is not the time,” Lucien said and picked her up.

“You…owe me,” She whispered as she slowly faded into unconsciousness.

“Yes, I know that is why, so you need to live up to collect may payment.”
