Chapter One: Redheads Are The Wildest In Bed-2
She left the room before giving me a knowing smile I shook my head to and closed the door once again. I pushed my hair up and over my head to block it away from my eyes. "I'm going to take a shower. Wait for me?" "Always." He murmured, looking up at me and I pushed him on the shoulder, unable to keep the smile on my face. "You are too corny this early. It's only almost nine in the morning." Sam adjusted on my bed, putting his hands locked behind his bed and smirked. That stupid traditional smirk that was occasionally on his face. I've known him for about nine months now. Yeah, nine months and there was never a day where he didn't have his lips quirk up mainly in amusement or some other reason. I had to admit it would be pretty strange I never saw him smirk again. "You should wear those shorts more often." He murmured, eyeing my legs as I started walking away. "Pervert." I told him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "It's freezing here," I muttered, feeling the cold creep up my spine, around my neck, entering through my jacket. Even when I spoke I could see the white gust of air come from my mouth. I missed summer. It wasn't my favourite season but I missed the summer warmth more than anything at the moment. Sam laughed loudly, shoving his hands in his leather jacket pockets and when he spoke I could see the gust of white air come from his mouth but he didn't think anything of it. "You've been saying that for a week." "How long have we been in this city?" I asked him. "About a month. It's October." "Exactly," I yelled at him as we entered the coffee shop. The weather was something I wouldn't get used to. I mean I came from Canada. It wasn't like I had lived in Nunavut or high up where the ice was but I was used to cold weather in certain months. Nevertheless, back home it would still be a bit warm by now. Possibly but at least not this cold. This weather? This weather was absolute torture seeing as I was still holding onto my jacket as Sam and I sat down at a table, feeling shiver course through my body. My fingers were numb and my ears hurt. Meanwhile, he had the stupid smile on his handsome face, mocking me with his eyes. His nose was a tad red from the weather but he looked warm rather than I did. I shivered involuntarily once again. "I feel like Jack Frost. I feel like I've been pushed into a meat freezer. I feel like someone buried me in snow and left me there for a full day." Sam took my hands and rubbed them with his own, shaking his head at my complaints. "Stop exaggerating." Even though we were in England for a month, one could easily tell that his accent was fully coming back then the faint one I had heard when I had met him. When we had landed in Manchester and had come to HDF for the first time, I could literally hear the girls say how they loved his American yet British accent. I didn't say anything but kept thinking that he wasn't even American. "I'm not exaggerating," I said when he blew his breath over my hands, thawing them. "Really?Because you are a walking hyperbole. I've barely seen you in the past week, I mean besides occasionally picking you up every morning." He mentioned, looking at me as if taking in my image. I looked like a mess, more so than usual. I haven't been sleeping properly because of all the work I've been doing and I recently got a part-time job at a bookstore which added to the work and the multiple practices. "I know," I huffed, taking the hat off of my head and putting it on the table. "I'm sorry. We were supposed to out on Saturday but then I had that essay I still had to finish writing and-" "Hazel, Hazel, it's okay. Trust me. I'm happy that I at least get to see you now. That's all that matters." He took off his hat from his head and placed it on the table, his curly hair sticking out everywhere before he ran his fingers through it. "How are your practices?" I asked him as he gave me my hands back and I rubbed them back together. "They're good. I mean for some reason the senior guys on the teams keep calling some of us fresh meat then..." He trailed off. "Then what?" I could imagine what Sam did. "Then I may have challenged one of them to show a few skills and..." Just what I thought. "Let me guess? You showed them." He waved a hand. "Of course I did. But that's not what I was going to tell you." "What?" "Manchester United versus Newcastle this weekend." He took the tickets out of his pocket and waved them in front of my face with a grin. "You're kidding." I gaped, following the tickets with my eyes as he waved them around, laughing. "No, I'm not. I know you made the team like two weeks ago but I kind of wanted to do something for you and I got these. Good seats too." "Sam..." My voice trailed off as he put them on the table. "You didn't have to." He shrugged. "I wanted to. Mum wanted to send you something congratulatory so I told her that I wanted you to see a game here. Plus Chelsea didn't have an exhibition game this weekend and Man U did so we're going."
