Chapter 93 93
Chapter 93 93
Dylan’s stomach goes hollow as he watches Andre’s hand glide up over his chest, smoothing over his collarbone before curling those fingers around his throat and squeezing lightly, “shall I give you a countdown?”
“Andre..” Dylan huffs. it’s so unfair the way his body wants to comply so bad.
Andre is evil for using his most favorite thing against him. “three…” now Dylan is just whining, “you agreed to my rules, Dre , you’re cheating.”
“two…”
“Andre!” His boyfriend stops counting and smiles softly, sharp eyes rounding out like the most adorable puppy, "It’s still your rules, sweet love. I just want to feel you close to me. Is that so wrong?”
and…and…it’s really not that wrong…if Andre promises to listen.
“You'll let me clean your stitches and then we will return to watching our movie, right?”
“Of course.” Andre’s hand slips from the side to the back of Dylan’s neck, tugging him in until their lips brush, “your rules, baby. just want you on me, however you’ll allow.”
Dylan should’ve known, he should’ve.
Because as soon as he’s finished and drops the wash cloth to the empty couch cushion, Andre’s hands grab the back of his thighs and he stands up without giving Dylan time to break free.
“you promised.”
“what am I doing wrong?”
“you’re using all of your sexy tactics on me because you think it’ll get you what you want. But it’s not happening.” Andre holds Dylan against his closed bedroom door and kisses him hotly, "Isn’t it though?”
“So not fair—“ Dylan whines into the kiss but he does nothing to prevent Andre from coaxing his lips apart and kissing him deeper.
“—Dre..”
“just a kiss baby. that’s all I want.” as he raises Dylan higher on his waist and tastes him fully.
“you’re such a liar …”
But two can play this game.
If Andre wants to go there, so can he.
Dylan curls his fingers into the locks of his boyfriend’s hair, making all of the noises into their kiss that he knows drives Andre mad.
And as soon as Andre snaps, moving towards their bed and dropping Dylan without pause, he’s up. hopping onto his feet and sprinting out of the bedroom door before Andre can catch up.
“you really are a fucking demon” Andre snarls from the opposite side of the couch.
Dylan’s head falling back as he laughs loudly, “told you, my rules Andre. It's not my fault you don’t listen.”
“Are you really going to make me chase you?”
“nope because if you touch me again, I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight.”
Andre’s jaw drops, “you wouldn’t.”
Dylan flops onto the sofa and presses play on their movie returning the bowl of popcorn from earlier to his lap as he looks at Andre over the back of the sofa, “that’s what you said this morning too. How many times would you like to be humbled in one day, baby?”
Dylan is doing his best to be supportive…but he really is not comfortable with Andre returning to training today.
It just doesn’t seem logical to step onto the ice with literal stitches in his face.
Even if Andre insists it’s only to keep up his stamina, it just doesn’t make sense.
They could go to the gym.
Heaven knows Dylan could use it… Sure he’s still toned and fit where he likes to be, but his abs are nowhere near as defined as they were during the school year—a part of him wonders if Andre ever notices.
His attention is drawn to the mindless way Andre’s fingers toy with his piercing.
His boyfriend has been in and out of sleep ever since they ate breakfast, but those fingers haven’t stopped moving in various patterns across his skin, always coming back to the dangling star.
Andre must notice his slight movements because he turns his head, looking up at Dylan from where he is curled against his side with a soft smile, “are you uncomfortable? I can get up.”
“don’t go anywhere.” Dylan wiggles himself a little further down the couch. Now Andre’s head is level with his own as opposed to resting on his stomach. “what if we went to the gym to work on your stamina? I’m just nervous for you to be back out there already… and I could use a workout too.”
Andre’s brows cinch, palm flattening over Dylan’s stomach, “but you’re already tiny.”
And they both know that’s not the truth. Dylan isn’t tiny by any stretch of the imagination.
But when Andre speaks lowly, caging Dylan’s body beneath his own and only uses one hand to cover almost his entire waist—he does feel small.
But not in the weak way…he feels small in the way that Andre could absolutely devour him if he wanted to and Dylan would have no complaints.
Wait . No, how did he get here?
How did they get here?
Andre’s got fingers beneath his chin and kissing him in that mind numbing way that makes his toes curl and Dylan didn’t even realize just how much he was giving in until a wave of arousal shoots through his body like electricity.
Yanking back from the kiss with heavy breaths, “not gonna work.”
“not everything has an ulterior motive..” Andre smirks slyly “..am I supposed to never kiss you until these stitches are gone too?”
“Of course not.”
“Then what’s the problem, baby?” Andre rests his weight on Dylan’s body.
Free hand brushing those long curls back as he drops a soft kiss to his forehead “gonna let me kiss you some more before we go to the arena?” Dylan tilts his head, “We? I’m going?”
“Well, I figure that’s the only way you’ll feel comfortable knowing I’m not out busting my stitches open.
And if Evan tries to bully me I’ll have my baby there to protect me.”
“ahhh, so you’re using me.” Dylan shoves him, without any bit of malice. Andre’s right back in his space and kissing him instantly, "I would never.” and really… kissing is okay. Kissing is great. The kissing is the only thing keeping Dylan together because all of this restraining Andre is taking a toll on his own sanity too.
They’re at a stop light when Andre reaches over, fingers softly pinching at the sleeve of his sweatshirt, right where the tear once was.
“Oh…she fixed it already?”
“Yeah, one of the mornings when you were at practice, I don’t remember which one. The last few weeks have all bent together at some point.”
“Tell me about it…” Andre sighs “once we finally get to feeling normal, it’ll be time to head back to campus.”
“Don’t remind me.” Dylan sinks into the middle between their seats.
Head falling to
Andre’s shoulder, “I think I’m going to be the worst TA ever. There’s no way I could ever be a professor.”
“You just sound ridiculous.” Andre laughs, dropping a kiss to the top of Dylan’s head.
“You’re going to be the best damn teaching assistant that professor has ever had. He’ll be begging you to take a position at the university after you graduate.”
Dylan laughs too, but it trails off. “Well…it’s not like we’ll be staying in New York anyway, so hopefully he doesn’t put his eggs in one basket.”
The car falls silent as they park and Dylan honestly thought he said something wrong, with the way Andre straightened up and the hand that was wrapped around his thigh tightened.
Then Andre is again kissing him tenderly. Long and slow and those butterflies that are pretty much always sitting in his stomach start fluttering rapidly.
Andre’s voice wonderfully soft when he pulls back, lacing their fingers together and pressing a kiss between their palms, “Sometimes I feel like I'm gonna wake up one day and you’ll realize that you’re way out of my fucking league. But then you say something about our future and I just want to kiss you until my lips go numb.”
