Chapter 121 - Trinity POV

Chapter 121 - Trinity POV
Orders had been given. Lines drawn.
Tasha, Evan, and Cole moved like commanders preparing for siege, setting a tight schedule to secure the borders. Patrol rotations doubled. Defensive wards reinforced. Every tree line watched.
I am grateful to Cole.
He could have tucked tail and run. That would have been easy. No one would have blamed him after everything Stephen destroyed. But Cole is a true Alpha. He could not abandon his people. He stood beside us not because he had to… but because he chose to.
JR was already in motion, relocating Irune’s mother and overseeing other preparations. Irune sent him on recon shortly after. We needed eyes beyond our land.
From this moment forward, everyone who entered the territory would register. No exceptions. We needed every name, every scent, every allegiance accounted for.
The Omegas moved with quiet efficiency, preparing lodging for high-level guests. Word had already spread.
Members of Custodas Lykodias would be present.
Possibly even elders from the council.
Tim politely knocked on my mind’s door.
May we enter?
I smiled internally at the courtesy. I thanked him for not intruding. I am still learning how to exist like this… connected… open.
He and the other werebear packs were en route, but they would not arrive until morning.
Before we even finished strategizing, wolves began arriving.
Some had started traveling the moment they felt the shift in the mate bond ripple through the supernatural network. That was the only way they could reach pack lands so quickly.
They felt it.
They knew something monumental had happened.
Every arrival was escorted to the training grounds.
Evan informed me that Ty had arrived with several vampires. They hesitated to register at first. Pride. Distrust. Old politics.
But they were reassured. Registration was not control. It was protection.
We needed to know who stood with us.
Packs from distant territories tapped lightly against my consciousness, letting me know they wished to come but could not make the journey in time.
That was okay.
We would not have been able to house them all anyway. The pack lands were already swelling beyond capacity.
By midnight, the training grounds were overflowing.
Wolves. Vampires. Werebears. Warlocks.
And fairies.
I did not even know fairies were real until tonight.
They stood luminous at the edges of the crowd, subtle light shimmering across their skin like dew caught in moonlight. Ancient. Watchful.
Zuri perched at the front of my mind, sharp and alert. No longer weak. No longer flickering.
Ready.
When the time came, we would open our minds not only to those present… but to those listening from afar.
This was not just a meeting.
This was a declaration of war against Stephen.
A declaration that Irune and I stand united.
We will fight for everyone who can hear us.
The Moon Goddess has placed us exactly where we are meant to be.
We are for all supernaturals.
We will not discriminate.
No race stands above another.
Tonight we draw that line in stone.
I inhale deeply.
The air smells like pine, iron, magic… and anticipation.
Irune stands beside me, solid as a mountain at my back. His fingers lace with mine and squeeze gently.
“You ready, my love?” he asks quietly.
The weight of thousands of eyes presses against my skin.
“No,” I admit honestly. “But let’s do this.”
A slow grin curves across his face. “That’s my Luna.”
We step into the center of the training grounds.
The crowd parts instinctively.
The moon hangs full and watchful above us, silver light bathing the assembly in something sacred.
I take another breath.
Clear your mind and open it, Zuri says. I will carry your voice to the distant ones. You reach those present.
We can do this.
I close my eyes.
Take one more steady breath.
Then squeeze his hand.
We begin.
First, I let Zuri rise.
Not fully shift. Just enough.
Golden light bleeds beneath my skin. A pulse of aura expands outward like the first ripple from a stone dropped in still water.
Silence falls.
Not forced.
Earned.
I open my mind.
And speak.
“My name is Trinity Lykodius.”
My voice carries not just through air… but through thought.
Through bone.
Through blood.
“I stand before you not as a ruler seeking power… but as a protector answering a call.”
A murmur ripples through the crowd.
“I was disconnected from my kind for six years. Hidden. Silenced. Unaware of the Goddess’s calling. My wolf restrained. And yet the Goddess still found me, she still chose me show you her will.”
I feel Irune’s strength anchor into mine.
“And she did not call me to lead wolves alone.”
My gaze sweeps across vampires. Werebears. Warlocks. Fairies.
“She returned me for all of us.”
A wave of emotion surges through the bond. Shock. Hope. Fear.
“Stephen believes dominance is strength. He believes fear builds loyalty.”
My aura sharpens.
“He is wrong.”
Now Irune steps forward beside me.
His presence shifts the air.
If I am flame… he is thunder.
“My name is Irune Cooper,” he says, voice deep and resonant. It vibrates in chests. In earth.
“I am Alpha of Cooper Mount. Mate to my Queen”
His wolf presses against the surface, silver and immense.
“For too long, our kind has been divided. Wolves against vampires. Witches against bears. Old grudges passed down like inheritance.”
He looks over the crowd slowly.
“Stephen feeds on that division.”
His power pulses outward, not aggressive… but undeniable.
“He attacked packs who would not kneel. He slaughtered those who would not bow.”
A low growl rolls through the wolves in the crowd.
Irune raises his hand and they quiet.
“We are done kneeling.”
The words land like iron.
I step forward again.
“Tonight is not simply about war.”
I let my mind stretch outward.
Far.
Beyond the training grounds.
Beyond the pack lands.
Across forests. Mountains. Cities.
“We declare unity.”
I feel distant minds stir. Listening.
“We declare protection for every supernatural under the sound of our voice.”
The bond between Irune and me ignites fully now, gold and silver intertwining.
“If you stand with us, you stand for equality.”
“No race above another,” Irune adds firmly.
“No power abused.”
“No innocent hunted.”
A fairy at the edge lowers her glowing head in respect.
A werebear pounds his chest once.
The vampires stand straighter.
My voice strengthens.
“Stephen will come.”
I do not sugarcoat it.
“He will test us.”
I lift my chin.
“Let him.”
My wolf rises behind me in full spectral form, enormous and radiant.
Irune’s joins mine, silver and fierce.
Together they loom over the assembly like guardians carved from moonlight.
“We are not fighting for dominance,” I finish.
“We are fighting for balance.”
Irune’s voice merges with mine.
“And we do not stand alone.”
For a breathless moment, the world holds still.
Then—
A roar.
Not chaotic.
Unified.
Wolves howl.
Werebears bellow.
Vampires lift their fists.
Warlocks ignite small bursts of flame in the air.
The sound shakes the trees.
Shakes the earth.
Shakes destiny.
I glance at Irune.
