CHAPTER 6 : Torture the traitor

Storming furiously into my apartment, I stared down Haze.

“How fucking dare you!” I bellowed loudly. Haze eyed me, then Gage, his green eyes filled with concern.

“You told her. " He almost laughed, seeming aghast that Gage was honest.

“My dad told her technically,” defended Gage, staring Haze down.

“Fucking dickhead” roared Haze lunging for Gage. All the boys calmly held him back.

“What was I not supposed to know, huh?” I started storming up to him hurt and annoyed.

“Princess”, he started, and that’s when I slapped him.

“You can go crawl back to wherever you came from. You want me to marry you? I hate you,” I screamed furiously. His face was marked from where I’d slapped him, but I couldn’t feel guilt. It was too dangerous.

“Let’s cool off. Haze, with me”, muttered Izack, shoving him towards the door. My breathing picked up speed as I watched him leave. Forest studied me, and for a minute, I thought I was okay.

He put his hands on my shoulders and looked at me. “Princess, you're okay. Breathe”, he whispered, kissing my head. Shivers and tears wracked my body as he gripped me close to him.

“I can't”, I cried.

“You can”, he managed sweetly.

“Let us explain more about the situation. You see, Haze saw you in London when he was there a few months ago. He met your mom and assumed she was fucked up. He found her high. He paid his dad thousands to get you here. He said you were beautiful, and he’d always dreamt of someone like you. Everyone thought the same thing. We were all told the same thing. He loved you, Story,” said Forest, slowly eyeing me. His light green eyes glowed with passion and love. At that moment, I didn’t hate Haze that much. He’d wanted me. To everyone else, though, we were engaged. That, for me, wasn’t good. Sitting next to Forest, I cuddled close to him sweetly. As he stroked my hair, I must have fallen asleep because I was cozied up in bed when I woke up. Sat next to me was Tyler, writing in his notebook carefully.

“Has Haze come back?” I mumbled.

“Not as of yet, love”, said Tyler, still writing. I tried but I couldn’t sleep.

“I feel guilty”, I whispered quietly.

“Never feel guilty. That’s rule one of fight club love”, he said thoughtfully.

“I’m not part of the fight club”, I stated, annoyed.

“Potatoe Potahto”, he said. I laughed a little when suddenly the door opened, and I sighed. Haze walked in, slowly eyeing me. “I’m sorry”, he murmured, defeated. Jumping out of bed, I padded over to him. Tyler watched us from the bed. Everyone else has gone to lessons.

“I need some time, Haze, but I forgive you”, I mumbled quietly. He nodded and looked at Tyler.

“Can I have a moment alone with her?” he asked curiously. Tyler studied me, almost seeking my reaction. I nodded, and he walked out.

“Princess, I saw you at that little cafe and fell in love with you. You were beautiful, and I’m sorry. I asked your mom about her hopes and dreams for you after you left the cafe; she gave me her number and then left. When I went to her the next evening, she was high and made a pass at me. I told her I wanted to care for you, and she asked for money. I'm so sorry, story,” pleaded Haze, gripping my hands. His green eyes glowed with worry.

“Princess”, he tried. I shrugged him away because I couldn’t cope with this. My mom fucking sold me. I was sold.

“Just give me time, Haze”, I whispered again, pushing away and grabbing my backpack.

“Where are you going?” he asked.

“Lesson, I think I have maths. I can’t be in here right now”, I managed, slowly, pulling my hair up quickly.

“Wait, Story”, he called, but I raced out, bolting down the stairs. Not today. Just no.

Sitting in maths with Quinn, I sighed as she looked at me.

“Haze is a little shit, but he never meant to hurt you girl” she managed eyeing me up carefully. Forest wandered in late, sitting beside me with a grin.

“How are you feeling?” he asked quietly.

“I’m alright”, I stated, jotting down some notes. The rest of the lesson flew by when suddenly our phones pinged.

“What’s happened?” I asked worriedly as we left the class into the busy hallway. Suddenly, an arm passed around my shoulder.

“Let’s just say we’ve collected the trash”, laughed Izack with a beam. I rolled my eyes as Zack steered me out of the school and onto the school car park. Jumping in the car, Izack was driving.

“Princess, have you spoken to Haze?” he asked.

“Yeah, he explained. I forgave him then rushed out this morning”, I said seriously, eyeing up the beautiful trees swaying in the wind.

“Seriously, you walked out on him. No makeup sex or anything?” shouted Quinn, shocked.

“Don’t be weird, bro”, I deflected awkwardly. This just caused Zack to burst into laughter.

“It’s not funny”, I moaned, putting my middle finger up to him. Forest smirked. We pulled up at some warehouse. Walking in slowly, I studied Gabriella, a cut on her face as her hands were tied behind her. She was strapped to the chair and was squealing like a little pig.

"Are you sure it’s her?” I said quietly. All the boys looked at me. Suddenly, Gabriella screeched around her gag. Quinn had stabbed a knife into her thigh. Quinn’s dark green eyes shone with danger; her teeth gnashed together like a wild animal.

“Aww, are you scared, Gabby” she laughed, cruelty wracking her.

“See, the boys don’t hurt women, but me, I don’t just date them”, Quinn laughed, pulling off her leather jacket. This was going to end badly I just knew it and Gabriella deserved everything she was about to endure.
