Chapter 10 : Dance Party

Running rapidly down the gravel path I rushed into the huge foyer of the dormitory building. Racing up some stairs I reached my room, and I swung open the door. Gabriella stood in the corner sobbing silently. Haze looked exhausted as his head was in his hands not even me appearing could turn his head. Forest leaned against the kitchen counter just watching the scene unfold with a mug. Gage. Gage looked murderous his ice blue eyes shone with ice and I breathed a sharp breath in. Whatever had happened was going to be bad for me I just knew it.

“What's with all the dull-looking faces?” quizzed Izack taking my hand and leading me deeper inside the very tense room. “Ask her” mumbled Haze still unable to look up at me. I craved the intensity of his green gleam, but I didn’t get that.

“I'm pregnant,” cried Gabriella clutching my kitchen counter for some sort of stability. Ice hit my body, the feeling of pain and panic crept up on me this was all too much. I knew why Haze couldn’t look at me. I understood exactly why. That baby inside of her was Haze’s and I knew if he looked at me, I’d break down. Gabriella’s big blue eyes projected utter terror but it was all an act because she’d wanted Haze from day one. This was the best thing that had ever happened to her. But deep down through her face, I saw the panic this wasn’t planned; she had no way out. She was trapped. She was too vain to have a baby. Too selfish. Suddenly a loud bang drew my attention. Gage had hit his fist into the wall furiously and all I did was stare. Because I felt like that. That’s when Haze’s gaze met mine and I stared at him as regret and upset seeped into his expression. He couldn’t say a thing. Fucking coward.

“What does this mean” I finally managed flicking my gaze to Forest who was sipping from his mug like this was expected all along.

“Whether the baby is Haze’s or not he must take responsibility for it and Gabriella” managed Izack pushing his blonde hair back with a long-tired sigh. "What does that mean” I whispered finally sitting down next to Izack unable to even comprehend this.

“It means that once it’s proven to be Haze’s baby and Gabriella has it, they must get married it’s Melvore rules. There’s no getting out of this either a contract is a contract an invisible one is signed when you join Melvore” murmured Haze not daring to look at any of us. Gabriella had stopped crying and was staring at us all.

“I want you out of fight club as soon as possible, me and my baby can’t be worried about you 24/7” she stated an evil gleam shining in those blue eyes.

“Tough fucking luck he can’t leave fight club,” Gage growled violently.

“If I go to the police then he can,” she said staring at Gage. Anger bubbled inside of me hot and burning my body.

“I also want you away from her she’s a danger to me and I’ll get her arrested too for my assault. Try and get fight club after me are you really going to endanger the life of Haze’s baby” laughed Gabriella manipulatively. Haze couldn’t say a thing. Not one little word. I glanced at her, and she smirked. She fucking smirked. Diving towards her I was pulled back by Gage and Izack. Gabriella cried out. Haze shot up. I wrestled with the boys to let me go. They didn’t.

“Go” I bellowed furiously. Gabby rushed out. Haze followed. Pain etched by body.

Over the next few days, I threw myself into schoolwork. I hadn’t really spoken to the boys or seen them around much. Haze was glued to Gabriella’s side. He didn’t speak or acknowledge me. Two could play at that game. Sitting in history the last lesson all day and rain tapped at the windows. The grey stormy sky whirling up a storm. At the back of the class Gage and Izack sat. Each time I turned their eyes zoomed in on me. I had nothing to say. From the group chat I’d realized Gage had been trying to find a way around the rules, but he couldn’t do anything. I’d asked Quinn about the rules, and she’d told me it was because of the rich people and their traditions. That’s why Melvore had that rule for relationships. Most people found their fiancée here they’d marry for status and wealth. I was curious as to what Haze’s dad was going to say. Leaving my lesson, I heard Zack call after me, but I just kept walking. Stood in my apartment a few hours later I had done all my homework and my washing. Nothing left to do at all. A knock hit my door and I sighed. Fight club never gave up. Opening it to Quinn. She had her big overnight bag and a bottle of vodka. A big bright beam on her pretty face.

“After the week you’ve had I think you need some Quinn time” she smiled wandering in and jumping on the grey sofa. I nodded sitting beside her silently. “You want to talk about it girly?” she asked turning to face me. Tears gathered in my eyes and fell down my cheeks annoyingly. “Oh Story” stated Quinn wrapping me into one of her luxury Quinn hugs she only reserved them for serious situations. “

I’ve just been feeling lonely lately everything with Mom and Gabriella and fucking fight club it’s all too much” I cried upset and overwhelmed.

“Look it’s all shit but I’m here for you Story now let’s do something fun” she grins suddenly. I laughed at her.

"Like what,” I said wiping my wet cheeks.

“Dance party” she roared excitedly, then we burst into fits of giggles.

Me and Quinn danced around my bedroom vodka bottles in our hands. I felt the buzz and it honestly felt great. We played Murder on the Dancefloor. I laughed at Quinn as she did some funky moves. “It’s murder on the dancefloor” I sang loudly while laughing. My phone rang on the wooden coffee table, and I sighed. Gage.

“Hellooooooo” I slurred my vision going fuzzy.

"Story where the fuck are you?” asks Gage sounding a little angry.

Okay. Very angry.

“I am in my apartment with your cousin, and we are having a dance Marty” I struggled laughing at Quinn as she twerked.

“Who the fuck is Marty” shouted Gage seemingly furious. I decided to ignore that part I know what I meant.

“I think you're hot when you're mad, Gage, soooooooo hot” I managed down the phone. Quinn was now covering her ears whilst vibing to the music.

“I must go Gage see you soon. Tell Izack his hair is pretty and Forest, I love it when he watches me. Tell Tyler to just kiss me and if Haze is there tell him to fuck off” I smiled ending the call to Gage rambling something down the phone. Lying on the sofa I smiled taking another swig of vodka I’d close my eyes for five minutes then go back to dancing. And maybe call Gage to apologize. But I didn’t get around to it.

Waking up I groaned at the pounding in my head. Rolling over I realised I was no longer on the sofa but my bed. Confusion hit me as well as utter panic at what I'd said and done last night. Stepping out of bed I slowly trudged into the living room. Oh fuck. All of fight club sat. Forest sat on the dining table with his sketchbook in his lap. He gave me a quick smirk darting his eyes back to his art. Tyler was sat looking impeccable as per usual. He said nothing just eyed me with those stormy gray eyes. Haze just leant up the wall staring at the floor not even glancing at me. Izack grinned at me. Gage was furious as he paced my living room stopping when he saw me. He titled that beautiful head and eyed me like a predator. A murderous look. Oh fuck.

“You're lucky Quinn was here” he hissed snapping his hand out ready to grab me. I jumped back panicked looking around the room for some support. All the boys remained calm. It was either the fact they knew he wasn’t going to hurt me, or they didn’t care. I frowned. I thought they would care so it must be the latter. Forest studied me with his green eyes he looked beautiful today. In a black hoodie, ripped jeans and combat boots. Fuck.

“I’m sorry,” I managed quietly. He eyed me up and that’s when I realized, I was in a white t-shirt.

“Oh fuck, who changed me?” I bellowed angrily eyeing them all up.

“Me,” whispered Tyler. I gasped in utter shock. Tyler. Fucking gentleman, no touch Tyler. He studied me.

“So, is it your t-shirt too?” I asked.

“It’s mine. The reason I told Tyler to do it is because he’s the only one I can trust around you” snapped Gage annoyed. His cold eyes glowed. Uh oh. I'd poked the beast and now I was going to be punished for it.
