Chapter 162: The Fall Festival Part 3

Everyone departed the training grounds slowly. Some were stunned at what Elder Terrance had just said. How are we not worthy of her? Really? Some comments were loud enough for everyone to hear. The Council hopes they think it through before tomorrow.

"Alphas Davidson and James, go home and tend to your mate. We know that she was very distraught when she left here. We will not come by tonight. We will see you tomorrow morning around 10 AM. Is that too early at your household?" inquired Elder Graham.

"Not at all. We are up before the crack of dawn at our house. Who will be joining you? We can have refreshments arranged," questioned Davidson.

"The Council and Alpha Scott and Luna Yvette if they are available," answered Elder Graham.

"As you wish, Elder Graham. We can be there as well," declared Alpha Scott. "Please let Luna Sandra know … We knew things were bad, but we didn't think they were this bad. I'm so, so sorry. Please let us know how we can help. The guilt, the burden she must bear from all of this. I can't imagine."

"We'll let her know, but she won't believe us. Thank you for your support," James declared as they made their way to their vehicles.

By the time James and Davidson got home, Sandra had calmed down a little with a little help from Greyson and Owen. Kacey and Ariel had managed to talk her into taking a bath, but she wasn't enjoying the bath.

Walking into the living room was a tense situation. Timothy was pacing the length of the room while Avery kept telling him to sit down because he was making the rest of them nervous.

"Give it a rest Avery. Walking around right now is the only thing that's calming me down. I would like to go for a run with Sandy around the school like old times, but we can't do that right now," seethed Timothy.

"How come no one told us things weren't getting better?" accused Michael as he looked at my mates and their parents.

"Michael, you have your own pack to run. Things have gotten better, just not as much as the Council would like," explained Alpha Sebastian.

"This is better!? You have got to be kidding me?" snapped Michael.

"Unfortunately, yes it is. Sandra has been doing a great job staying away from the haters. Even Luna Yvette has put pack members in their place when they disrespected Sandra," explained James to my brothers.

"When did that happen?" inquired Michael.

"At Greyson and Owen's Kindergarten graduation. It was an isolated incident and it was dealt with swiftly. Alpha Scott reported that to the Council and they dealt with it the very next day," explained Davidson.

"This whole situation is messed up! The wrong people are being punished!" I declared from the stairwell as I descended to join everyone in the living room.

"Baby, why are you coming down here? You should be resting?" James softly stated to me like he was afraid to raise his voice to me.

"No James I should not be resting. We need to discuss this. I don't want the Council to disband Rock Canyon. You have earned the right to become Alpha. It's our son's birthright. We can't take that away from him. It's not right," I vehemently stated.

"Baby, listen we'll do what we have to do. If the Council wants to disband the pack right now, there's nothing we can do about it," James sighed dejectedly.

"Yes, there is! James, You shouldn't be punished for a few member's bad behavior. I can't let that happen. I WON'T let that happen," I said adamantly.

"If it comes down to it, you just won't become the Luna to the Rock Canyon Pack. It's that simple. You will always be my mate. In my heart, you will be my Luna, but to the pack, you'll just be my mate. They don't deserve your love, compassion, or sacrifice. I'm sorry they feel like that baby," sighed James as he wrapped his arms around me.

"It's not your fault James but thank you for trying to comfort me. When is the Council going to come? I would like to retire for the evening," I asked while I remained tucked in James' embrace.

"Oh, they will be coming by in the morning at 10 AM. It was decided that everyone's nerves were a little raw tonight to make any decisions. Come on, why don't we go up and cuddle? It might make you feel better. What'll you say?" Davidson contended with a wolfish grin on his handsome face.

"Hmm, I could go for some cuddling tonight. Although, sometimes I wish the earth would just open up and swallow me whole like now. It would solve all our problems," I lamented as everyone started to say goodbye and good night to everyone.

"We'll make sure the boys and girls are taken care of. They were already planning to sleep in the same room together, so this works out great. Get some rest little sister," Michael reassured me as we all walked up the stairs together.

"Love you all. Good night," I cried out once we started ascending the last set of stairs for our floor.

"Love you, good night," they chorused together.

What would I do without my brothers? I do not know. They continue to help me in so many ways. Now I just have to figure out a way to not allow the Council to disband Rock Canyon.

Once we arrived in our room, James and Davidson made sure I was taken care of. James laid me gently on the bed. I watched as James and Davidson changed into their pajamas. I could never ever become bored looking at their bodies. They only put on their pajama bottoms, leaving their muscled chests on display just for me.

They knew exactly what they were doing. They knew I needed a distraction tonight. I needed to feel a connection to my mates, especially James. I can't help but feel he's getting the short end of everything right now.

Tonight was all about connecting with my mates in a way that only mates can connect. James slid into bed next to me with a grin that should be outlawed. My hands immediately went to his muscled chest. I couldn't help but run my hands up and down enjoying every dip and curve. I sighed contently as Davidson slid in behind me to begin kissing my neck.

Again, they knew exactly what they were doing. They wanted to ensure that I knew I was worthy of nothing but love-their love. A night full of love from my mates was exactly what the doctor ordered. I needed them to reassure me of my worth and they did exactly that.
