Chapter 159: Time Marches On

What's the old saying 'Time Marches On?' Before the Elders left Rock Canyon they released a statement/letter to the entire pack which was listed on the Council website. This is what it stated.

Rock Canyon Pack,

The Council placed this pack on Probation for a series of violations against its leadership. You were given six months to turn yourselves around to correct your mistakes. Unfortunately, this has not happened.

After talking to several random pack members, guests of the pack, and ranking pack members, Elders Graham and Terrance were told of the tension observed at the Winter Solstice Celebration. It was observed how several pack members went out of their way to avoid contact with Luna Sandra of the Red River Pack. It is distressing to hear how some pack members still cannot accept pack leadership or follow its leadership without question.

All of this happened because of Orson Peppermill. He made a 'Mate Contract' for Luna Sandra when he had gambling debts in order to clear them. He SOLD his granddaughter. She was the victim. And Yet the Rock Canyon Pack continues to hold grudges against Luna Sandra for every death or attack against the pack in an attempt to kidnap her for ownership of said 'Mate Contract.' Then, when former Elder Jeremiah COMMANDED Alpha Sebastian to command Luna Sandra to reject Alpha James as her fated mate and Luna. Again, she received death threats and vile, hate messages.

Everything has been explained multiple times. So many times, that it is getting ridiculous. Alpha James has been given a directive by the Council on how to govern the Rock Canyon Pack. He will govern the pack accordingly. This pack will remain on Probation for another year. If at that time you have not seen the error in your ways, we The Council will take further action.

It is our hope that the Rock Canyon pack will take this time to reflect on what it means to be a pack, A united pack. To be a united pack one must have each other's back no matter what-you must be there to support, to uplift, and protect each other through thick and thin. We truly hope you can accomplish this task.

Sincerely,

The Council

Well, it appears that some of the pack have taken the letter to heart. When I go to the neutral territory, I am greeted a little bit better than before. I don't feel as awkward or alienated as I had been. It is improving.

We are nearing the end of the school year and the boys are about to graduate from Kindergarten. I didn't realize they held a graduation ceremony for Kindergarten. Things have definitely changed since I was little.

Greyson and Owen are so cute in their little blue caps and gowns. Davidson keeps taking pictures of them doing different things. All I can do is shake my head. It is adorable.

We all arrived at the Elementary School for the graduation ceremony. We were a sight to see. The whole family was there to see the Alpha heirs graduate from Kindergarten. I don't know who was prouder-us, their parents, or their grandparents.

The reception we received when we walked in was phenomenal. Alpha Scott and Luna Yvette was there as well from the Blue Mountain Pack. We all had a chance to chat before the ceremony began. They were concerned that the Rock Canyon Pack still wasn't treating me properly. I tried to explain that not everyone understood that I wasn't to blame but my grandfather was. Alpha Scott told me to keep my chin up and ignore the bigots and haters.

Ignoring the bigots and haters is easier said than done. But I have become quite adept at it. I just keep my eyes on what is important-my pack, my mates, and my children.

The ceremony was short and wonderful. As we were wrapping things up and collecting our children, Luna Yvette was heard talking to someone about being respectful towards others.

"You have no right to say anything about anyone. How dare you disrespect her like that!" Luna Yvette admonished a she-wolf.

"I'm sorry Luna. I wasn't saying it about Ms. Collins. It was directed at someone else," replied the she-wolf.

"It doesn't matter who it was directed at. You have no right to be disrespectful like that. You cannot say things like that in public. Nor should you voice them loud enough so that half the room can hear you," scolded Luna Yvette. "It's just bad manners."

"I apologize, Luna," the she-wolf said with her head hung low.

"You are dismissed," Luna Yvette commanded.

The she-wolf scurried away from Luna Yvette as fast as she could. Luna Yvette walked over to her mate while she was shaking her head.

"What was that about my love," inquired Alpha Scott to Luna Yvette.

"I heard a rather unpleasant conversation going on so I thought I would put an end to it. Now I know why Luna Sandra doesn't want anything to do with Rock Canyon anymore. They are like the plague. They are toxic. We need to let Alpha James know about this," Luna Yvette explained to him in a rather mournful voice.

They walked over to where we were all standing and explained what Luna Yvette had witnessed and done. James sighed and shook his head. He asked Luna Yvette if she knew who the she-wolf was or if she could point them out. She pointed her out, Missy Dawkins.

What did I ever do to Missy Dawkins? Nothing that I know of. I don't even know who she is. She joined the Rock Canyon Pack when she found her mate Samuel Ames (Betsey Ames' brother).

"Thank you Luna Yvette for standing up for me. I really do appreciate it," I complimented her as we embraced each other.

"You're welcome. It's the least I could do for you," Luna Yvette declared.

We all parted ways so we could go home. We had a Bar-B-Q for Greyson and Owen to celebrate their Kindergarten Graduation. The grandparents were very proud of them indeed.

The very next day, James heard from Elder Graham about the incident at the Elementary School. Elder Graham said that Alpha Scott reached out to him concerning the incident and how unhappy he was that his Luna heard first-hand the hateful comments being said about Luna Sandra from the Rock Canyon pack members.

Needless to say, Elder Graham and the Council are not very happy with some of the Rock Canyon pack members. James was told to keep a 'watchful' eye on Missy Dawkins. He was to report any more comments or actions that were made against Luna Sandra.
