Chapter 130
Chapter 130
Earlier that evening….
Catalina could not believe herself how Ricardo’s presence would employ such an effect on her regarding everything. How deep did this feeling go she was wondering.
She went on to prepare for going back to the ambassy and asked Zuleica about the disturbing thing that Ricardo shared with her. After all someone important might had been caught by his cousin Omer, kidnapped and maltreated.
Catalina knew by now that Omer was after Ricardo’s power and would do anything to be the leader of Almor.
After checking that Stella was also finished with her assignments they headed back to the embassy.
\-“Welcome back ladies, snacks are ready if you would like to try them warm.” Souada said to them.
\-“Good evening Souada. I am not hungry now, maybe latter.”
\-“Hey Souada, have you seen Ahmed? I need him to accompany me to order and pick up some stuff.” Stella said excitedly to her.
Seeing them interacting with each other Catalina became aware of her phone call.
As soon as she stepped into her room, she dialed the direct number that Zuleica had given to her only. After some time, she picked up the call.
\-“And here I thought that your session therapy made you hyper tired.” Zuleica greeted her directly.
\-“Hello, hello Zuleica.”
\-“What’s up? How are you doing today?” Zuleica asked her in an enthusiastic voice.
\-“I feel good. The priestess really did a great job making me feel … emotionally heard.” She said after remembering the thrilling emotions and the energy that helped her balance some of her old fears and child traumas.
\-“Listen, I had something that I wanted to ask you. I know that you probably might have no idea but just saying….” Catalina shifted her attention to her main question.
\-“Do you know any of your people are missing?” I had Ricardo at my studio dancing earlier claiming that Omer had kidnapped one of the southern, but they do not know the identity or the reason why Omer did such a thing.”
A pause and then Catalina went on:
\-“He thinks that Omer might use this person to his benefits and knowing the reason why or the person who he had kidnapped. And he came to me to ask directly you in order if you know someone missing.”
\-“Hello Zuleica? Are you there?” She checked if the line was still on.
\-“Yes, I’m here. I heard everything loud and clear.” Zuleica was scared now if her suspicions might be true.
\-“we have been struggling finding a person lately, we have suspicions, but we are not sure.” She spoke.
\-“Who is that person? Is it someone in particular?” Catalina asked.
\-“We don’t know if she went missing or she choose to distance herself from us.” Zuleica admitted.
\-“Do you remember Leyla? The dancer from that night! She has been gone for a week already and we are not sure about where abouts. But if she was taken by Omer then this is no good news. It means he might torture her to get information’s about us or even worse to use her in their inner circle and this is not good news. They never act nice with any of the south. But if it is Leyla he can even kill her to hide what they did for that night in order that he lets no witness.” Zuleica explained to her and Catalina could already think of what a person like Omer might do.
\-“That’s terrible. I hope that Ricardo finds out who the person is asap. They are going to have the meeting tonight.” Catalina said worried now.
\-“In that case if he finds if it is really her, I will teach you a body sign and what he can do, our communication secret sign that we use in order that they know that we are coming for them and we will try our best to save.”
\-“What is that?” Catalina asked curiously now.
\-“Wait, I will send you a message and the instructions and you can learn it to Ricardo. Just don’t forward him my number.” Zuleica said while taking a picture of their secret sign and sending them to Catalina and writing in the meanwhile how to do it. Then she put the phone in her ear again and asked:
\-“Did you get it?”
Catalina saw it and confirmed to her.
\-“Even if not her, I want Ricardo to let us know how we can take that person back. I count on him for helping us.”
\-“Of course, I would let him know.” “I will go now. Say hi to everyone and see you next time.”
\-“You can count on that. And say hi to Mariana and Stella as well. Bye bye.”
\-“Ok, I will, bye.” She said, smiling while turning the call off and went on to send a message to Ricardo, explaining to him what Zuleica said to her.
After some minutes Ricardo’s message was quick.
“If that person is the dancer that tried to almost attack you on that night, acting under my cousin’s order than in no good news. Omer might want to get back at her for not finishing his order or worse use that against me. I will have my man check on it again.”
“Thank Zuleica from my side please and thank you too love.”
She was not sure how to answer him, she was happy that at least he might save a person, but what did that meant for them? Sure nothing, but where might their collaboration affect their relationship in the future now, she was thinking.
She was not sure if Ricardo was being hundred percent truthful about his fake marriage or not, but she wanted to protect her traitorous heart if that was not the case. Ricardo was a man with a big weigh in his country and the beyond that. Did he truly fall in love with her or not.
“Good luck!” This was the only text she managed to send him, without complicating more.
She did not know that the secret sign that Zuleica sent to her for Ricardo might save him at the meeting later.
Catalina thought to go downstairs not, but her phone rang again. She picked it up and saw that her family from Spain was video calling her and she talked with all of them as she missed them lately more than often. Usually, she shared everything with her sister, but her story with Ricardo, she left it out, not wanting to make her sister upset.
After Alessia went on her room to talk more about themselves, Catalina said to her the spiritual experience she had with the priestess at the south. It made her sister crazy and anxious now, wanting to read her own past chart with the Tefns too, especially the priestess.
And so the conversation went on for a long time between sister.
