Chapter 86 GIVING IN

Chapter 86 GIVING IN
WILLA’S POV
Gallahan’s words sent a shiver down my spine, while my heart leapt into a whirlwind of emotions.
Was I really going to open up and allow Gallahan in, just because Miss Banfey wasn’t actually his chosen mate and the arrangement with Elodie no longer stood?
Yes.
Yes, I was.
Because when Gallahan insisted that I was his only mate and that I deserve to be put on the priority list, I realized that those things were what I wanted too.
I wanted…
No.
I needed to be loved and cared for.
And deep down, I wanted Gallahan.
I wanted and needed him so bad that it felt visceral and raw and…
Gods… I had been deprived of a whole lot all these years. I spent a good chunk of my life dedicating myself to a cause I deeply believed in, then pouring every bit of me into motherhood because the twins needed me.
I was also sick and tired of being haunted by the what ifs and of soothing the ache with nothing but imagined fantasies.
But here and now? Gallahan was offering me a chance to grab something I thought I would never have: to be someone’s proper mate and to be loved and cherished like every woman deserved.
It was a temptation that was impossible to resist, especially when I was still nursing a wounded heart from Calisto’s outburst.
So I silenced the hissing voice at the back of my head that was trying to remind me of who Gallahan was and what kind of person he was. Then I melted into the moment, surrendering completely in Gallahan’s lap and kissing him like it would be our last.
But then his lips coaxed me down into a slow and languid kiss, one that seemed like it was taking me apart piece by piece, layer by layer, until I was a pliant putty in his hands.
“Han,” I gasped, grinding down on his crotch, which I delightfully found to be half hard already.
His mouth then sucked a particular spot on my jaw, and it got me mewling wantonly and pressing myself like a desperate leech against his warm body.
My hands that clung onto the fabric of his clothes, slithered up until they raked through the impossible soft strands of his hair.
“So pretty,” he muttered adoringly, his warm breath fanning the skin of my neck, his lips grazing like a feather. “Mine and only mine.”
“Yes, yes,” I acquiesced eagerly, tightening my clasp on his hair. “Just yours.”
He hummed before his tongue licked a long line on the side of my neck, going upwards until he found my ear, which he then nibbled lightly.
“Not Lewis’, not anyone’s. Just mine.”
Lewis' name pushed me back to the surface of clarity, and a breath-like laughter bubbled out of my mouth.
The sound was very much not appreciated, given the angry growl that erupted from Gallahan.
I loosened my hold on him and gave us a bit of distance, all the while a wide grin was plastered on my face.
Another growl rumbled out of him as he glared at me. “You think it’s so funny that another man had once claimed you in my absence?”
“No. But I think it’s funny how you actually believed what Lewis said that night.”
“Well, you were dead set on killing me just to protect your very dear human,” he retorted icily.
But I didn’t mind his tone. Heck, I didn’t even mind how there was so much vitriol when he spat out ‘human’ as if the word itself tasted foul on his tongue.
“Han, Lewis is not a threat-”
He interrupted me with a scoff, his eyes blazing with flecks of gold in them. “Of course he’s not! I can end him with my bare hands before he could even blink. He’s nothing compared to me. I can protect you, provide for you, care for you and love you much better than he possibly could.”
“Yes,” I agreed with a little laugh hanging onto my voice. “Because he swings the other way.”
Gallahan blinked, and the tension in his body dissipated. His lips parted slightly, only to close again a split second after.
“There hasn’t been anyone else in my life, Han,” I admitted in a whisper as I began to soothingly scratch his scalp on the back of his head. “I already had my hands full with raising the twins. I didn’t have the time to even think of finding myself another man.”
“Good,” Gallahan breathed out rather than said. “That’s… good. Fuck. That’s really good. I…”
“Relieved?” I said in jest, but it came out a little too soft and a little too endeared to actually sound teasing.
“But it’s not as if I would want you any less if you had anyone in the six years we were apart. I wouldn’t have batted an eye if I had to take out a little competition.”
“Han!”
“In a totally non-violent way,” he added in his defense.
But the way his eyes glinted with intent, on top of his rakish grin that promised trouble, I had a hard time believing him.
Still, I let myself get pulled into his spell, believing that it was okay.
That we were going to be okay.
“Right. So do you promise to behave?” I asked as I trailed my hands up and down his toned chest. “Around humans.”
Gallahan arched his brow as he pulled me closer by the hips. The movement gave me a delicious friction on my slightly wet folds, sending every nerve of my body on fire. Breathlessly, he said, “Define behave.”
“Han,” I said as dryly as I could. But with desire thrumming just beneath my skin, making me feel like I was burning up yet chilled at the same time, it was a hard task to accomplish.
“I love it when you call me Han,” he said against my lips, just as he started to guide my hips to gyrate down his clothed erection.
It rewarded me with a jolt of pleasure, which then drew out a stuttered gasp out of my chest.
Gallahan, looking utterly pleased with himself, began to meet my movements halfway.
“Oh, you do?” I belatedly replied as I finally found the right rhythm that matched Gallahan’s seductively slow one.
“Very much.” He grinned. “It would sound better if you’re moaning it loud and clear when I eat you out, though.”
“You sound pretty confident that you can make me moan loud and clear.”
“That’s… Fuck. Ah… That’s without a doubt, baby. It’s a fact.”
Teasingly, I dragged my weeping cunt against his constrained erection at an agonizingly slow speed. “Is it?”
The act got his eyelids falling just as his eyeballs rolled back in earthly bliss.
“Is… Is that a challenge?” He asked, sounding utterly wrecked and breathless. “I told you already. I never back down from a challenge.”
“I’m not challenging you into anything. You just love putting words into my mouth.”
“Ah… There’s actually something else I would love to put in your mouth.”
But because somehow, nothing could ever go right for me, a question came tumbling out of my mouth before my brain could have the chance to think it through, ruining the electrifying air between us.
“Then why did you stop me from sucking you off last time?”
