Chapter 230

Charlotte.

The next day we said our goodbyes to Dakota and the others. I had won the bet against Adonis so he could no longer flirt with me for the next two months.

The relationship between the six werewolf packs was stronger than before, and this would help in the upcoming war.

As we returned to the fe mino pack Packafter a two day journey, from that time onwards Janice seemed to be like a completely different person, she was more confident in herself now, maybe that was due to her winning an event against alpha's.

Holly seemed to smile at me on a few occasions, but regardless she still treated me with spite whenever she got the chance to.

And Hunter... Well let's just say as the days went by, we became even closer.

Sometimes the two of us would just run away together through the forest and explore and play around.

One time we found a valley filled with beautiful flowers, we stayed there for the whole day, they smelt amazing, and just sitting there looking at the sky as day turned to night and the stars lit up everywhere, fireflies flew around and increased the sheer beauty of the scenery.

I was just glad I could spend this time with the people I cared about.

"Hunter...no matter what happens... I just want you to know that... Meeting you, just everything that has happened since that time, I'm glad, it's been a wild experience for me, but I wouldn't trade it for the world."

Hunter smiled at me and caressed my left cheek, I held his hand tightly as my face turned a shade of pink.

He then said to me, "Meeting you, was one the turning points in my life,I was full of hatred and anger for werewolves, all werewolves but you made me see the light, you all aren't so different from us, you made me realize who I truly am, and helped me accept myself as a hybrid, without you... I wouldn't have had the strength to carry on, the strength to establish this alliance between humans and werewolves, you give me the strength I need to fight, and I truly appreciate you for that,"

I felt like he should have said different words at the end, but maybe we weren't ready for that at the moment. Honestly as we were now, two close friends was just enough for me, I felt like I could rely on him, and I hope he feels the same way about me.

A week passed after Hunter and I found the flower valley, and the next person i spent time with was Kali, she had recovered from her battle against Astrid and somehow, her mind seemed clearer, and she was a lot happier than before, possibly due to the fact that she had confronted her inner demons and now knew all her friends accepted her as she was.

We spent our time fishing and swimming together. Kali caught a huge carp while I managed to get wrapped up by a long yellow eel. The eel released a small electric shock on me, but it didn't compare to Iris's lightning one bit.

We rested on the shore and began chatting.

"Kali, you really are something else, I've never seen a she-wolf this good at swimming and fishing like you,"

Kali gave me a grin.

"Haha haha, that's nothing, the way you fight and the way you keep on moving even when the going gets tough, I admire that about you,"

This was the reason we were Best friends, we understood each other, despite us having our differences we were still this close.

Iris and I trained together the next week, and our battle ended in a draw. She wanted to tell me something about the Lucan transformation.

"Charlotte, there's a possibility that even us betas and Deltas can use the Lycan transformation, I've been researching and there's a chance in certain dire situations to release all our magical power into our hearts, this could trigger the Lycan form,"

As she said this, I kept thinking about how dangerous that was, well she did say that it was just for emergencies, I would keep that in mind... But honestly I hoped I would never have to use such a technique at all in real combat.

The next week I was assisting Trinity in making a surplus of potions for the upcoming war.

We were going to need it if the Krent pack intended to use all three powerful artifacts against us. She told me what ingredients to get and didn't get angry when I brought some strange ones from the forest. She really treated me like her own daughter from time to time, and I appreciated that since I didn't really know my own mother.

Speaking of Mother figures the Queen once again wanted me to take over from her, but the next person in line for the throne was Iris since she was the beta after all, but she still insisted that I become the leader of the Gemini pack, and I promised I would one day, but for now, as I was a delta, I believed my place was just standing next to the leader before my turn would come.

The Femino Packhad honestly grown so much from the last two years, the Squirrel had grown in size as well, probably due to all the nuts he had been eating, but that ended up strengthening the barrier around our village, sure it wasn't non the level of the eye of the drifter, but it was definitely good illusion magic.

I then thought about how far all of us had come, from just a bunch of normal she-wolves that came to this forest to escape from others, now we weren't just rejected warriors, we were a family, a tight family that cared for each other, and that was just the way I liked things, I came here as a weak Omega only to become the delta I was always destined to be, and for that, I thank all of my friends.
