Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Logan's pov
I gradually opened my eyes, sluggishly observing my environment. I found myself in a very dark room only the little rays of light from the window lightened the room. No one else was in the room , it was so dusty. When I fully opened my eyes, I felt some pain . My head hurts seriously
As i tried to sit up or even rise, I realized that I couldn't because I felt so weak. I laid back . I rested there, attempting to collect my thoughts and understand what occurred.
The last thing I remembered was that I was at the casino, oh, yes!, I had engage in a fight and what else, I left the casino?. I wasn't sure.
I cautiously lifted my hand to feel my head, flinching as my fingers brushed against a sore area. What happened to me ?, how did I get here ? How?
While I rested there, attempting to comprehend my environment, I heard the echo of footsteps resonating outside the room. The door slowly opened, and a beam of light entered, brightening the shadowy area.
Someone appeared in the entrance , outlined by the light of the shape. I squinted my eyes attempting to see the person , yet they stayed cloaked in darkness
"Welcome back" the person finally spoke in a tone deep and raspy .
" You've been unavailable for sometime "
I attempted to say something, but my voice was rough and hardly heard. The figure laughed softly, a chilling, joyless noise.
"Hold off on speaking for now," they advised. "You aren't entirely...yourself."
I fought to rise again, resolved to face this enigmatic presence and insist on explanations.Yet, as I shifted, a surge of agony engulfed me, compelling me to the ground once more.
The figure chuckled once more, the noise causing chills to run down my back. "They told you that you're not leaving just now "
" You will remain right here...until we are prepared for you "
With that , the figure pivoted and exited , slamming the door closed behind them. I was thrown back into darkness , my thoughts swirling with uncertainties and anxieties
What were they seeking from me? What was the reason for my captivity? And what occurred to me prior to arriving here?
I remained there, my heart racing in my chest, as I attempted to seek answers in the shadows.
I sprawled on the chilly , unforgiving ground, my thoughts swirling with ideas of fleeing and vengeance. However, before I could start to devise a strategy, the door to my cell slowly opened once more.
The same figure as before lingered in the doorway, a cunning smile spreading on their face . "I have information that may intrigue you" , they declared, their tone laced with malevolence.
I stared up at them, my irritation and fury boiling just beneath the surface. "What does it refer to?" I snarled, my tone deep and threatening.
The figure laughed lightly, appearing to relish my frustration. "It appears that your charming fiancée, Brianna, has come to be with you in our small...venue."
My eyes grew large in fear as the words registered. Brianna? Abducted? A surge of anger hit me, and I propelled myself off the ground, resolved to reach her.
However, the figure was too fast, and they closed the door abruptly in my face, imprisoning me within. I banged the door in anger and fury.
" Brianna!!" I first called " let her go, let her go, you will pay for this" I kept yelling her name.
However, my words were greeted with silence, and I found myself isolated in the darkness, my anger and frustration surging like a pot left on the stove.
I walked back and forth in the cramped cell, My thoughts were racing about Brianna and how I would rescue her from this place. I understood that I needed to remain composed, to think rationally and devise a strategy.
I was afraid especially for Brianna. I couldn't imagine what she must have faced before now. I suddenly became afraid and knew I needed to do something real quick.
I inhaled and exhaled in worry, I knew I needed to act fast and get Brianna out of here before further harm gets to her. I just have to save her.
I scanned the cell, looking for anything that could assist me. The walls of the building were old but quite strong like it was made of brick, the window was a little higher and queit unreachable for a normal height human.
The windows and doors were made of strong metal. To the best of my knowledge, the building is obviously an old warehouse or store building to have such features.
I was feeling hopeless and worried, I thought hard about what to do , but then I noticed something that caused my heart to race. A slender, narrow strip of metal was stuck in the gap between the wall and the floor. It seemed like it could be part of a screwdriver, or possibly even a knife.
I swiftly grabbed the metal and scrutinized it carefully. It was a narrow, slender blade, ideal for slicing through ropes or locks. I experienced a rush of optimism and resolve. With this weapon, I could potentially get away and save Brianna.
I hid the knife into my pocket and started to walk back and forth, my thoughts swirling with ideas and options. I was planning to leave this place, and I intended to bring Brianna along. Regardless of the situation.
