Chapter 36 That’s annoying!
Camilla opened her eyes, feeling her body and head ache. She stared at the ceiling, trying to regain her composure.
There was only white overhead; the main light, which had been the main light, was off, and the curtains on the large window were still drawn. Camilla felt bored, and she tried to move but stopped immediately. Something felt strange now; someone was hugging her.
Camilla didn't feel uneasy; instead, she thought the hug was calming her. It felt so comfortable and warm, so different from the usual days when she'd wake up with strangers.
After thinking for a moment, Camilla cursed herself. She had almost forgotten that she'd gotten married just a few days ago, and now she was at her in-laws' chosen honeymoon destination.
She glanced beside her and saw Danieru's sleeping face. It felt like she'd just dreamed of him, but it definitely wasn't the same person. Camilla felt her heart ache again; if only she hadn't celebrated his birthday, none of this would have happened.
The woman's thoughts drifted far away, and she briefly wondered if the Danieru she was with now was the Danieru she had once been friends with. But... once again, that was highly unlikely. Her little Danieru's face was so different from her husband's.
The name Danieru wasn't just one or two people; there were many in this world, and surely having the same name wasn't unusual.
The woman only regretted not knowing her friend's surname. If she had been smarter in the past, she would have asked about it. Had her little Danieru suffered the same fate as Leoni?
Since that incident, Camilla had never heard from her childhood friend, Danieru. All she knew was that Leoni was dead, and she didn't know where her first friend was buried.
The woman sighed, trying to calm down. Enough... it was just the past, and even if she wanted to go back, she couldn't necessarily change it for the better.
Camilla tried to get up and pushed aside Danieru's hand that was around her waist. The woman felt relieved when Danieru didn't wake up. She then sat on the edge of the bed, closed her eyes for a moment, and stood up.
The woman approached her suitcase, opened it, and took out some bathing supplies. Luckily, her period had ended, and she was grateful that during that time, Danieru was willing to touch her without feeling disgusted.
"Do you want to take a bath and not wake me?" asked Danieru, who had been standing behind Camilla for some time.
Camilla, hearing those words, immediately stood up, turned around, and met Danieru's gaze.
She saw that Danieru was naked, and well... just like her. It seemed she didn't remember anything from last night, and Danieru had become her medicine again.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked you questions that made you cry."
Camilla smiled; she didn't feel like arguing right now. Her morning had already been terrible because of the dream, and she didn't want to add to it.
"Are you angry?" Danieru asked again.
Camilla took a deep breath and then said, "No... I'm not angry, let alone bothered by that question. What you need to know is that I'm not a clean woman."
"Camilla, you're just a victim." Danieru held Camilla's shoulders with his hands.
"Victim or not, I'm still a woman who can't take care of myself." Camilla pushed Danieru's hand away from her shoulder.
"Camilla," Danieru reprimanded.
“Call me ‘Kitty,’ it’s more comfortable now.” Camilla reached out, touched Danieru’s cheek, and stroked it.
“Okay, Kitty. Can we take a bath together?” Danieru asked.
“Are you starting to fall in love with me?” Camilla looked at him in surprise.
“No, I just want to enjoy having a wife.”
Camilla rolled her eyes, annoyed; Danieru always said strange things she didn’t like. She then walked away; she didn’t have time to talk much this time.
“Kitty, about that plan you mentioned. I… I’m not interested.” Danieru smiled as Camilla stood before him again.
“Okay, so what’s the point of us getting married?” Camilla asked.
“To play around,” Danieru replied.
“Are you saving money?” Camilla asked again.
“Saving money?” Danieru echoed.
Camilla, seeing Danieru’s expression, looked serious. “Yes, because if you waste your money on women, you’ll lose a lot of it. It would be more profitable for you to marry me, and once you get bored, we can go our separate ways. Right?”
Danieru leaned toward Camilla. “Perfect thinking. But at least I’m not selling you for profit.”
Camilla took a step back, staring at Danieru blankly. “Ah… okay. I have one question. Why did Rachel give me this necklace?”
“It was my gift to her. I said it was only fitting for the woman who became my wife.”
Camilla nodded, not caring about this either.
“Don’t ever take that necklace off,” Danieru said again.
“For now, I won’t take it off. But when you find someone you truly want, I will.”
Danieru took Camilla’s hand. “Let’s take a shower, and then we’ll go for a walk.”
Camilla gave him an irritated look. “I want to take a shower alone.”
“No!”
“Doggie!”
“A no is a no!”
“Doggie!” Camilla exclaimed again.
“Do you want me to carry you?” Danieru asked.
“That’s annoying!” Camilla insisted again.
Danieru stopped, immediately grabbing Camilla’s hand and carrying her.
“Doggie, what are you doing?”
“Carrying you, you’re walking like a snail, and it’s so annoying.”
Camilla remained silent, knowing that resisting was futile. She could only submit, not resisting much of what Danieru said or did to her.
Not long after, the two of them arrived at the bathroom. Danieru quickly set Camilla down and closed the door. He grabbed the small box from Camilla’s hand, placed it on the sink, and then took out the items inside.
“I’ll wash your hair, come on.” Danieru took Camilla’s hand again and led her to another room within the bathroom.
“I can wash my own hair,” Camilla said.
“No, let me do it.”
Camilla fell silent again, all she could do now was obey. Meanwhile, Danieru, feeling victorious, grew even more delighted. He smiled without the slightest hint of guilt.
...
After completing their morning routine, Camilla and Danieru decided to enjoy some time in Macau. They explored beautiful spots and took some pictures. Macau was indeed a very tempting place, and they felt a little more relaxed than usual.
Currently, the newlyweds were at Macau Tower, one of the tourist attractions Danieru and Camilla had chosen for their first day.
The 338-meter-tall Macau Tower first opened on December 19, 2001. From the Observation Deck, located at a height of 223 meters, visitors can view Macau from various angles. They can enjoy the beauty of the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane, and even see China from afar.
This Macau tourist attraction also features restaurants, a shopping center, a cinema, and, of course, a casino. Visitors can enjoy Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Indian, and even Italian cuisine. For those who enjoy shopping, the shopping center at Macau Tower also stocks a variety of international brands.
“Do you like it?” Danieru asked, now walking, gripping Camilla's hand. He was pleased when she smiled and nodded at him.
"Okay, looks like we should enjoy this before I become a pauper."
Camilla, hearing her husband's words, stopped walking and looked at Danieru with a smile.
"What's wrong?" Danieru asked.
"If your fortune runs out, I still have my fortune, and we can enjoy an equally enjoyable vacation."
"You want to be poor with me?" Danieru looked very excited as he asked.
"No. Then quickly find a woman you like, and have her like you. If you're poor and haven't found them, you'll make me a pauper too."
"You little bitch," Danieru muttered, slightly annoyed by Camilla's words.
Camilla, who could hear him, just laughed and took Danieru's hand. "Come on, I want to enjoy this vacation too."
"Women always prioritize money," Danieru said, walking with Camilla.
Many people were spending their time there. Some were alone, some with partners, and some with families.
“Do you want to go up to the Observation Deck?” Danieru asked.
“What do you want to do there?” Camilla asked back.
“Enjoy the view, wouldn't you?”
Camilla considered the man's offer, then nodded her head.
