Chapter 34 FLASBACK
\[FLASBACK\]
Today was Camilla's second day at school, and she felt very comfortable, even feeling like time was passing too quickly. Yesterday, after her mother invited all her school friends and classmates, Camilla suddenly became the center of attention. Many students began to approach her, while a few others disliked her.
Camilla was starting to receive negative opinions from those few, but she easily ignored them. She believed that someday, those people would change their views of her.
Camilla was now sitting alone in the backyard of the school, spending her break reading. Considering that tomorrow was a highly anticipated day, she began to formulate some plans.
First, she wanted to introduce Leoni to her parents. It wasn't without reason; Leoni was her first friend, and she clearly had a special impression of her.
The girl smiled, then closed her book and set it down on the green grass. Camilla opened her bag and took out a notebook and a pen.
"Are you Camilla?" someone asked.
Hearing that question, Camilla abandoned her intention to write. The girl lifted her head, and was immediately shocked.
“Leoni? Why are you wearing boy's clothes?” she asked.
“I'm not Leoni, I'm his twin.” Camilla blinked several times, still unable to process what the person had said.
“Camilla!” someone else called from afar.
Camilla quickly shifted her focus, looked at the person, and then scratched her head, which didn't itch at all.
“Leoni?” Camilla muttered.
“What's wrong with your face?”
Camilla shook her head, staring at the two people now standing side by side, facing her. The girl then stood up, forcing a smile to answer Leoni's question.
“He's my twin brother,” Leoni said again. The girl grabbed her brother's hand and approached Camilla.
Camilla, watching Leoni's behavior, felt exasperated; her friend really liked to impose her will. She could see that Leoni's brother was resigned. The young man didn't resist, simply following Leoni's wishes.
"Introduce yourself," Leoni said again.
Camilla turned her gaze to Leoni's twin brother. She could see that he was quite friendly, but also a bit tight-lipped. The young man then extended his hand, and Camilla was quite surprised.
"Danieru," the young man said.
Camilla immediately took Danieru's outstretched hand; she could feel its warmth. Camilla smiled, then took a deep breath.
"Camilla," Camilla replied.
"Nice to meet you, Camilla." Danieru ended their handshake and looked at Leoni, who was smiling beside him.
"Nice to meet you too." Camilla approached Leoni. She looked at her friend and smiled.
"Why are you two staring at me?" Leoni asked curiously. The girl looked wary, sensing that the two men had bad intentions.
Camilla and Danieru looked at each other, then grinned and pinched Leoni's cheek. Each of them pinched one cheek, quite hard, of course.
“Aaaaa… you two are too mean!” Leoni exclaimed.
“Camilla, don’t let go, I want to take a picture.”
“I’m going to tell Mom about you!”
Camilla just laughed, while Danieru took out his camera and snapped a picture as quickly as possible.
“Mom… help me!” Leoni exclaimed.
“Your mom is home,” Camilla said.
“I’ll tell you when I get home!” Leoni exclaimed again. The girl struggled, trying to escape Camilla and Danieru’s abuse.
After much effort, Leoni finally broke free. She scowled, annoyed by their behavior.
“You two just met, and you’re torturing me. If you ever get married, I’ll bother your children!” Leoni exclaimed.
Pletak ...
Danieru's hand freely smacked Leoni's head, while Camilla, watching, couldn't help but smile. She almost laughed, but couldn't bring herself to see Leoni stroking her undoubtedly sore head.
"Danieru!" Leoni exclaimed, annoyed.
"Call me Big Brother."
"No!"
"Call me Big Brother." Danieru repeated, smiling without the slightest hint of guilt.
"You were only born a few minutes earlier than me."
"I'm still your older brother," Danieru replied.
Camilla, watching the closeness between the two, chuckled, pleased to know the twins.
"Camilla, don't marry him in the future. Even his twin sister is treated like this, what will you be like?"
Pletak ...
"Big brother... you're annoying!" Leoni exclaimed, stroking the part of her head that Danieru had attacked again.
"You read too many romance novels, Leoni." Camilla offered her opinion.
"I agree with you, Camilla." Danieru gave her two thumbs up. The young man laughed as he glanced at Leoni's face, which was already red with anger.
"Enough, let's talk about Camilla's birthday tomorrow night." Leoni quickly changed the subject, not wanting Danieru to discuss the romance novels she often read at home.
Danieru, hearing his sister's words, looked at Camilla. "Ah, about your birthday, Leoni and I have prepared something very interesting."
Camilla, hearing Danieru's explanation, looked pleased. "Can I have it now?"
"No!" both of them said firmly, shaking their heads.
"You two are so united," Camilla said.
"You'll have it tomorrow night." Danieru smiled, then looked at Leoni.
"What's wrong?" Leoni asked.
“I have to get to class.” Danieru adjusted his twin sister’s glasses and said, “Don’t lose them. It’ll be hard for you to do your activities, and I know you’ll cry.”
“Go,” Leoni replied.
Danieru quickly left, not forgetting to glance at Camilla. “See you tomorrow night, Camilla. I’m leaving my naughty little sister in your care.”
“See you later,” Camilla replied.
Danieru hurried off with that, running toward the school building. Before long, Danieru was out of Camilla and Leoni’s sight.
“Let’s get to class too,” Camilla said.
“Okay, I’ve also brought the six Narnia books I promised you.”
“I’ve also asked my personal service to send all the One Piece comics to your home address.” Camilla said as she grabbed her belongings from the grass. She stood up and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Okay, I understand. Come on, hurry up, I've been dying to show you my six books."
Leoni immediately grabbed Camilla's hand and pulled her along, while Camilla followed suit.
