Silence fell over and we just stared at each other for a few seconds. "I'm sorry for taking advantage of you checking up on me," I tried making out a faded smile in apology, but all he did was make out a smirk like he was holding back a grin.. But then he just flashed that dazzling smile that again caused something inside me to tingle, and reached his hand towards my face. He didn't touch my face this time, just simply ran his fingers over my hairline on the side of my face, and back towards my hair.. Than another caress.. And another.. "I should've offered myself," He started off, completely concentrating on brushing his fingers so lightly through my hair. "I already like spoiling you," And there it was. I fricking knew he was going to mention it. And he knew it pissed me off when he called me spoiled. However, he changed the word order in a way that made me think that I would let him spoil me as long as he wanted.. However, I protested and frowned, still unable to keep the smile off my face. "Hey," And he returned that smile, like he already knew what kind of reaction he was going to get from me. But that's what he was doing to me.. Exactly that.. Just taking my mind off of everything within seconds. How could I not love it? He made me forget and smile so quickly, I didn't even know why I couldn't sleep.. Plus, the strokes over my hair were a real trick.. I almost purred from how much I liked him caressing my hair. But I was still smiling by the time I looked back at him, and saw a now complete serious expression on his face, just simply focusing on mine.. Once again something that I couldn't read behind his eyes. He brushed his fingers over my face, leaving some kind of tremors and tingles where he touched me. "So fucking beautiful," I heard him mumble, and again his words caused a little skip in my chest. It warmed me in the oddest way possible. But then again, his simple presence caused that same effect.. "Get some rest, you'll be needing it these days," He then ran his thumb right over my bottom lip, once again making me act by instincts and not by thoughts.. I left a slow kiss right on his thumb, before he let it rest on my chin. "Good night, Christian," I heard myself mumble, already blinking slowly and feeling my eyelids becoming heavy. I felt him run his hand over my hair again, preforming a few caresses. And the last thing I heard was, "Good night, princess," ~ I couldn't tell how much time it had passed since I woke up, since I got all ready for whatever that day had to offer.. I just knew that I slept on it, and I knew exactly what I had to do.. We had to settle that riddle once and for all, and I knew that one person that could for sure give me the answers I needed. My father. Now, yes, I was on a runaway and I didn't want to be seen yet.. I didn't even know if they were still looking for me.. And after that night, it seemed like they already knew where I was.. If they didn't, I knew they would soon find out. There was one good thing.. We now knew that the Vesnetsovs had the necklace.. More correctly, Alexander. He was the Alpha. He ruled with that pack. And possibly, after the plans I heard my father had, my Alpha as well.. However, I had to deal with myself first. I had to know if it was true or not.. I couldn't relay on that guess hat it's someone's sick game. I knew what I saw. When I woke up that morning, Christian wasn't there.. I just knew that I fell asleep beside him with no thoughts other than those about him, and it felt soothing in the best way possible. Now, after I took a shower, I put some jeans on, a shirt and a pair of sneakers. I brought high washed jeans with me, not having tow worry about belts and whatnot.. I was on a runaway.. I needed comfortable clothes. I was quick to pack my backpack, since I didn't have much stuff, and knowing that Christian was probably downstairs, that's where I headed. I rushed down the stairs, still feeling the thought I woke up with, simply sitting on my chest and going down the pit of my stomach. I had bas butterflies and I didn't like it.. I didn't really like my own idea, but I knew I had to got through with it.. Tell Christian, and go through with it. When I got to the living room, I saw Amelia, but a quick good morning was enough for now.. She would find out anyway.. Besides, this was not just between me and her, it was between my father as well.. And well he mother Jessica.. But of course it wasn't true.. I mean, my father didn't keep stuff like that from me. I went in the kitchen, where I found Christian and Calliope. She was just sitting on the counter and going through some magazine, which by the way, I had no clue where she found since the house was basically in the middle of nowhere.. And Christian was just taking a sip from a bottle of water, still dressed in a shirt and gray sweats. I walked in like I was about to throw a bomb at them, so damn concentrated on the thoughts that went through me at that point. "Good morning, Lana," I heard Calliope say, but at that point I just stopped and looked at Christian. "Woah, what's the rush?" She asked, still holding the page she was about to flip on her magazine and staring back at me. I glanced at her, but it was kind of impossible not to look at Christian when I felt like his opinion on this would matter to me the most. "We need to talk," I released a slight breath and finally unglued myself from the spot I was standing on as I walked towards the counter and leaned my hands on it. I saw how Christian frowned and looked at me, but whether it was a suit or sweats, a frown or a smile, he was impossible not to distract me. "What's going on?" I heard him ask, but at that point I had to stay focused, so I just cleared my throat and looked on the side. "I'm going to get it over with today." I said slowly, clearly, seeing the confusion on his face but doing my best to stick to my point. I could easily start panicking and back off at that point. But I had to.. I just had to face it. "I'm going back home today. I have to know if what I saw was true or not."
