"Amelia," She started of, looking back at me and releasing a slow breath. She seemed in a loss of words. "The man with your mother.. It was Khal Morpher." She talked slowly, like she was giving me time to register her words. But it was as if my mind went blocked in that moment.. All I heard her add was, "Lana's father." ~ Christian's POV I didn't know what happened.. I couldn't register it so quickly. Whoever those attackers were.. They came and went quickly. And I on the other hand seemed to get rid of them instinctively.. I didn't even know how many I killed.. How many got in.. I was too concentrated on Lana, who by the way seemed completely frozen on her spot. And fuck. I had never felt such dread wash over me so quickly.. My instincts never worked quicker, and thank god I was able to pull her on the side. Lana was impulsive. She did things because she thought they were right. And I trusted her decisions.. But she didn't think everything completely through. She was too innocent to know the worst situations that could happen. She was too pure because she was kept away from it her whole life.. She didn't know how ugly reality could get and that's what made her weak. Even though she acted like she could handle anything, I knew things could effect her. But I was there to protect her. I was there to keep her safe, because after her dedication on helping me find the necklace, she deserved everything I promised her. I was never a man of my word.. Not usually. I didn't stick to that because things could change, better opportunities came through as quickly as they could go away.. Better chances on something that was too worthy for me to miss. But with Lana.. I couldn't find myself betraying her. There was too much pureness in her.. Rawness.. I could not do anything against her, because that would mean going against myself. Against my own urges. I got her to her room, put her to bed, and sat on a chair beside her, listening to her heartbeat for the past 20 minutes. This girl.. God, this girl was stubborn. I told her not to get involved in any magic, and she didn't listen. A slight knock on the door was heard, partly taking my attention. "She still out?" Calliope asked as she slowly walked in. I looked at her for a few seconds.. I was angry. I was angry because she acted impulsively to. I was very clear with what I wanted. It wasn't so hard to listen. "I told you not to do it." I watched how she looked away from my words, scanning Lana for a second. "She wanted to see if something similar to the spell we did last night would happen. Even if she didn't tell me, putting her hand on one of ours was going to be enough for her to get somewhat involved and channeled." She explained slowly, stopping beside the bed before she looked at me. "It's better that I knew. I controlled it at least." I was starting to think that maybe it wasn't just Lana. Girls were just plainly stubborn, weren't they? "You could've told me. I would've stopped her." I understood how much Lana could push you to do something. But I was angry with both of their decisions. We all saw what could happen when they did something behind my back. "She's okay, she's just tired. She's not hurt," I glanced at Lana's arm. She was healing slower so the cut was still there. "Yes, she is. Who were those bastards?" I heard myself ask, still observing Lana. She was supposed to wake up till now. But her hair was spread the same way I put her before, her eyes peacefully closed and her body completely motionless. It was fucked up how something so meaningless could cause such panic inside me, yet impossible for me to figure out what it was what made me care. "I don't know. But Luke called and said nothing happened with Adam. So we're gonna have to do the spell again." I nodded my head, but before I could say something, I noticed Lana moving. I looked at her, watching how she slowly flattered her eyes open. She looked at me for a second, frowned and sat up. "Hey, slow down," Her hair was messy and puffy, but she put it away before she hissed at the pain coming from her arm. "You okay?" She looked at me again, a bit confused, before she glanced at her arm again. "How long have I've been out?" I glanced towards the door where Calliope was standing, but she was now gone. I didn't realize she left the room. I was concentrated on Lana.
