Chapter VII-2

I cleared my throat, crossing my arms over my chest quickly. I noticed him eyeing me quickly as he passed me and walked towards the nightstand. The silence made me uncomfortable so I decided to simply go for it. If he didn't agree on letting me leave, then that meant that he was up to something.. "I didn't think this through. I have to leave." I heard myself say quickly, watching how he turned towards me. His eyebrows as always were slightly furrowed, giving that sharp cold expression he always seemed to hold, but I could see that he was confused with me at that point. "Venedocia could be the first place my father will check." I continued slowly as he took a few steps towards me. I followed his actions slowly as he looked on the side and then nodded his head slightly. He crossed his arms over his chest, and I couldn't help but notice the muscles on his upper arms popping underneath the black shirt. It seemed tight for him. "Alright then, we'll leave tonight." His voice took me by surprise, his whole statement did. Did he actually agree on this without any questions? I stared at him for a few seconds, feeling how my eyes went slightly wider than before. "Really?" I nearly mumbled the words as I pushed myself off the desk I was leaning on. The surprise in my voice was way to obvious, but that didn't effect Christian in any way. He just went towards the bed and took the few papers that I didn't even realize he had putted on there. It was probably when he walked out of the closet, but I was too distracted with trying to cover up my peeking. He spoke as he analyzed whatever was on there. "Yes. We made a deal, I gave you my word." I watched how he looked up, right at me, a slight smirk appearing on his face when he saw the curiosity on my face. The surprise I suppose. "I gotta do what the princess wants." His words weren't way out of sense. I was no princess and we both knew it, he just wanted to provoke me. But if I fell for that provocation, I knew that after a whole day in one room, I would say all the things that I had in mind, and I couldn't risk having something slip out in process. I was honest with him, but he still didn't have to know everything. Alexander should still be a secret till I figure him out and prove it to my family. I rolled my eyes slightly, exhaling an annoyed breath. He got the point, but I knew it was his intention to annoy me. He enjoyed seeing me tensed up for some reason. When I looked at him, there was still this little curl on his lips, like he was expecting me to lose it any second, except he acted like nothing happened and continued staring in his paper. Was he even paying attention? I silently cleared my throat, before focusing back on him. "I know where we can find the safe.. In which my father is probably keeping your necklace." The second I said those words, I followed how he instantly looked back at me, eyes full of that need to simply know. There was no curiosity there, almost like he was sure he would find out one way or another. There was just that somewhat tension that would make you want to simply spill the information you've been holding in. He had that effect on people. "Where?" I watched how he furrowed his eyebrows, intently listening to what I had to say. The way he looked at me with such focus, it first made me mumble, then I would simply start talking quickly even though sometimes I wasn't completely sure in my own words. "Well, I don't know exactly, but I know how we can find out." He threw the bunch of papers back on the bed, and looked back at me. "So, you did a little thinking today.." I shrugged my shoulders slightly, and for a second there, I thought that maybe I should first find out the real reason why Christian wanted the necklace so badly.. But if I didn't like the reason I could break the deal whenever I wanted. We didn't sign anything. After a few seconds, I continued. "I had plenty of time on my hands." I released a slight breath, watching how the little stand of my hair flew up. "And I gotta keep my side of the deal too, right?" He nodded his head slightly in response, before asking with that same cold tone of his. "Aren't you hungry?" "Starving." It didn't take me much convincing. I was in the room for hours and hours without any food, and the last time I remember eating was at Amanda's. God knew what happened after that.. I noticed how his expression slightly darkened, that confusion back on his face. He looked at me like he was trying to figure me out the whole time. I wasn't easy.. "Why didn't you go out to look around?"
