Chapter 35 Chapter Thirty-Five

Chapter 35 Chapter Thirty-Five
Chapter Thirty-Five

             Mirah

“Hey beautiful,” he cooed, his hand encircling my waist. My skin crawled and I tried pushing him away. “Let go.” My move pushed me further into his embrace.

His grin widened. “You're drunk. Why don't you let me take care of you?” His hand was still on my waist.

“You-” I pointed a finger at him. “Go fuck yourself.”

“That wouldn't be fun without you.” His hand grabbed my ass, and instincts kicked in. I lifted a leg to kick at his knee. But he smoothly dodged my hit.

“Feisty, I like that. I bet you'd be equally as fierce on the bed.” His hand moved downwards.

I pushed him away, but that served to ignite his lewdness. He was about to gain hold on me, when I heard the sound of cracking bones. My head ached, and I tried to see who my godsent helper was. Even in my drunken haze, I knew that scent. By the time I let out a hiccup, my assaulter was lying face down on the ground, while Zeke was looking at me with an expression that screamed anger. I backed away. He scooped me into his arms without a word, and moved towards the car. I didn't bother resisting. I drawled out a few incomprehensible words.

“I need to start calling you my Knight in shining armor.” I fisted his shirt, and giggled. He froze beneath my touch, but he didn't slow down. He carefully placed me on the passenger seat, and buckled me against it.

“You look so hot tonight, Zeke.” I slurred when he sat on the driver's seat. He didn't respond.

“Let me drive. Or do you know where I live?” I continued. When he didn't respond, I pulled off the buckle, and leaned in towards him.

“Hey handsome, are you giving me the attitude?” Still no response. I moved even closer.

“You look so hot. I want to kiss you.” I trailed my hand on his chest, and his throat flexed.

“You have to stop doing that, Mirah.” He growled.

I giggled again, and pressed my legs against each other. “Or what? You'd throw me out of the car?”

I heard him curse, before he lifted me with ease, and made me straddle him. My yelp was swallowed, as he slammed his lips fiercely on mine.

I drove faster, one hand on the steering wheel, and the other supporting Mirah's head which was on my shoulders. My cock pressed against my trousers to the point of pain and it was all it took to stop me from parking my car at a spot, and make love to her right on the road. But I wasn't going to take advantage of her. Not when our relationship was estranged, and more especially, when she was drunk.

She made a little sound and shifted, while I groaned. Her supple ass was directly on my erection, separated by my trousers, and her purple tight gown. Inside the car suddenly felt hot and stuffy, and all I could perceive was her scent. Sandalwood and lilies.

Tristan Estate came into sight forty minutes later. Unlike other days, I drove through the gates slowly, and pulled the car to a stop, at the parking lot.

Careful not to wake her up, I got out of the car, and approached the entrance. The guard at the door simply nodded at me, and moved past.

After deciding the elevator would be too slow, the stairs even more so, I teleported to my room. I'd delete it from the CCTV footage later. Right now, I was trying hard to control my erratic breathing. She leaned àcross my body, but aside from my raging hard-on, I didn't feel uncomfortable. It was just so…natural.

Like her body was made for me. I laid her carefully against the couch, and went into the kitchen to get a glass of blood for myself. Yes, I'd brought some along.

I'd badly wanted to snap that bastard human's neck. But since I didn't, the only way I could calm down was to take a glass of blood.

Just a glass.

She stirred, and made some sounds when I got back to the living room. Her legs were a bit apart, so I could catch a glimpse of her lacy black panties.

I was practically concrete, at that point. Her eyes fluttered open, and she continued murmuring.

“My knight in shining armor,” she slurred and jabbed at the seat. “Did you abduct me?” she hiccuped.

I didn't know how many glasses of alcohol she had, but judging from her breath, and drunken words, it might have been quite a lot.

I didn't respond. She made to rise, but fell back against the couch. “Since you saved me, why didn't you save me from Jayden?”

Hearing Jayden's name from her sweet mouth sent jabs of an emotion so foreign, against my chest. The glass of white-colored blood was still in my hand, and I twirled it in a bid to control my anger.

“Jayden- he,” another hiccup. “He made my father's company-” Her words trailed off, as tears streamed down her cheeks in two straight lines. She whimpered.

I moved slowly towards, nothing in mind except how to hunt down whoever caused her pain, and wipe them off the face of this Earth.

I lifted her gently, and made her straddle me. All worries about my erection gone, I pushed her head down on my chest.

The tears rained down faster and faster, as did the pain in my chest. At that moment, I wanted to give everything. My wealth, my life. Anything.

Anything, just to stop her pain.

“Kathryn called, Mother too. I have no choice. God.” More tears.

Although I had no idea about what she was saying, my hand moved up and down her back, trying to soothe.

“It's okay. I'm here now.” I assured.

“No, you're not. You'll leave, just like everyone else. I'm pathetic.” She hiccuped again.

There it was. That painful feeling- one that felt like my heart was being stabbed by thousands of daggers.

I moved her away, just enough to kiss her forehead. She whimpered softly.

“But would you stay?” She slurred.

And even though I knew she was drunk, and would probably forget all she said tonight, I responded anyway.

“Yes Kitten. I'd stay. For you, I'd do anything.” It was a vow, a promise.

Vampires always kept their promises.

I rose to my feet with her in my arms, and moved towards the bedroom.
