Where is Angela
Briana peeked through the slightly open door. In the room she saw Joe's frantic face. Joe was walking back and forth like he had a very heavy problem. Briana thought that she should cancel her desire to meet and talk to Joe because now the time was not right.
Briana immediately turned around. Maybe she could meet Joe later. When Joe was in a better mood.
"Briana ...." called Joe behind her.
Briana turned her head briefly. She waited for Joe who was walking towards her. Joe must have seen her earlier.
"Did you want to see me?" asked Joe after being beside Briana.
Briana looked hesitant. She looked at Joe for a moment, then hurriedly turned her face in the other direction. Her tongue felt heavy to speak.
"What's wrong?" Joe urged because Briana didn't speak.
Briana turned her head. "I think you'd better leave me to your brother," Briana finally replied. The look in her eyes at Joe implied a deep sadness.
Briana's words were like a splash of cold water on his head. It left him stunned for a few moments. Then, he realized that Briana's previous remark was a crazy and absurd idea.
"You know I can't do it," Joe said firmly.
"I don't want your brother planning another act to harm you. And it's all because of me," Briana said with a trembling voice.
The last few nights Briana had been having nightmares. In her dream Joe died at the hands of Chris. While she could only watch as it happened without being able to do anything. The dream seemed to come true and continued to haunt her.
Joe grabbed Briana's shoulders. He looked at Briana intently. His hand touched Briana's smooth cheek.
"Even without you, Chris would still be hostile to me because his heart is filled with malice at the bottom of his heart," Joe said soothingly. "So, don't even think about it. I'll definitely find a way out of this."
Briana returned Joe's gaze. Then her arms wrapped around Joe's waist. For a few seconds she rested her head on Joe's chest. She could hear the sound of Joe's rapid heartbeat.
"Thank you for worrying about me," Joe whispered as he kissed the top of Briana's head.
Briana tightened her embrace even more. As if she didn't want to let Joe go. Hugging Joe like this in silence, made her feel very calm and happy.
"How about you sleep first. I'll catch up with you later," Joe pleaded.
Briana pushed Joe's body away. But, her hand still held Joe's hand. She seemed reluctant to let go. After that, Briana let go of Joe's hand. She went to her own room.

"Did you fire that man?" Joe asked Antonio the next day.
Antonio nodded. "I fired him. As per your orders, he left with nothing. Including the severance pay."
"That's good. Thank you for your help," Joe said with a nod.
"So, what are you going to do about Chris, Boss?" Antonio asked next.
"I'll wait for the right time. In the meantime, I'm going to let him get the upper hand," Joe said passionately. "Once he lets his guard down, I'll beat him to a pulp."
Antonio just listened. He would wait for Joe's orders. Although he felt very upset at Chris, he couldn't do much about it. Everything depended on Joe's decision.
"Now you can leave this room," Joe pleaded after a moment of silence.
"Okay, Boss. See you later." Antonio turned around. He hurriedly left Joe's room.

Meanwhile. Elsewhere. Chris was walking hurriedly around his house. His face looked very tense and flushed, as if he was holding back anger.
"Do you know where Angela is?" Chris asked John when he got outside his house and found his confidant in the front yard.
John shook his head slowly. "I haven't seen her since, Boss. Is there something important you want to talk to him about?" John asked cautiously. In a situation like this, he had to be careful how he spoke if he wanted to live longer.
Chris stood still for a long time. His forehead was furrowed as if he was thinking about something. He looked at another corner of his front yard with a blank stare.
"Try to find her! I want you to find her as soon as possible," Chris ordered firmly. He looked impatient.
"Yes, boss. I'll look for her" John replied, then hurried away from Chris
Then Chris went back into the house. He walked into his room, and plopped down on the sofa. He remembered that he hadn't seen Angela in days. She seemed to have been trying to avoid him since the incident. After he learned of Angela's betrayal.
"I'm sorry. I just don't have the heart for that girl," Angela said at the time. "Her body condition is so bad. I didn't want to die in vain."
"But, she killed my father. I just want to avenge my father's death. Is that not allowed?" asked Chris in a challenging tone.
"You must not have heard her side of the story," Angela snapped in defense.
"I don't care. Once a murderer, always a murderer. I have to kill her so that when I go to my father one day, I can boast that I killed that girl," Chris said irritably.
Angela did not argue anymore. Angela chose to leave Chris' presence after that. It seemed useless for her to persuade Chris. Chris was too stubborn, and didn't want to listen to other people's opinions.

Back to the present. Chris thought and tried to guess. He was pretty sure Angela was still in this house. But, he had no idea where she was. He had searched every room in the house, and the results were very disappointing. He couldn't find Angela at all.
"Boss ...." John called with a gasp. His face looked very pale. "You should look over there."
"What's going on?" asked Chris confused.
"Angela, boss. Angela .... She's ...."
"What's wrong with Angela?"
John shook his head slowly. His lips were pressed tightly together. The corner of his eye glanced the other way.p
