Chapter 204 Two Hundred & four

Chapter 204 Two Hundred & four
The car screeched into the hospital driveway. Giovanni helped Raven out, both of them groaning and laughing at once.

“Move it, Gio!” Raven hissed between contractions, clutching her belly. “Stop touching me! For the love of everything, stop touching me! My uterus isn’t a cuddly puppy!”

“I’m… I’m just… supporting you!” Giovanni stammered, panic rising.

“Supporting me?!” Raven yelled, glaring at him. “You’re squishing me! My legs, my boobs… my everything!”

Gabriele, standing just outside the delivery room, raised his hands. “Easy there, Gio! Hands off…let her breathe!”

Raven rolled her eyes, huffing. “I love you, Gio, but if you touch me one more time I swear…”

Another massive contraction hit, and she grabbed the nurse’s arm. “Holy—oh god—oh shit! Gio, GET AWAY FROM ME!”

Giovanni froze, hands raised in surrender. “I’m… I’m backing off! I promise! I swear!”

By the time they made it to the delivery room, Raven was pacing, wailing, and cussing at Giovanni with impressive creativity.

“Goddamn it, Gio! Stop holding my hand like a baby! I’m about to pop twins out, and you’re acting like you’re in a rom-com!”

“I… I can’t help it, love,” Giovanni whispered. “I love you too much that's why.”

“Love me? I’m about to give birth to two tiny humans! Not the time for your mushy crap!” Raven groaned, gripping the bed as another contraction hit.

Gabriee leaned against the doorway outside, shouting in mock authority, “She’s right! Hands off, bro! Focus on breathing and looking worried… that’s your job!”

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of wailing, cussing, and chaotic hospital staff dodging Giovanni’s panicked attempts to help, the first baby emerged…. a tiny, wailing boy.

“Oh my god!” Raven shrieked, laughing and crying at once. “He’s perfect… but Gio, your hand was in the wrong place again!”

Giovanni kissed the baby’s head anyway, whispering, “You’re mine, little guy. Just like your mama.”

The second twin, a girl, followed moments later, screaming at the top of her tiny lungs.

Raven collapsed back on the bed, exhausted but grinning. “Two… two perfect little monsters. And Gio… if you touch me again, I swear I’ll…”

Giovanni kissed her forehead, brushing sweat from her hair. “I’ll behave… I promise. I just… can’t stop loving you.”

Outside the delivery room, Ganni and Gabriele could hear the babies crying. Ganni whispered to Gabriel, eyes wide: “Are they… okay?”

Gabriele smiled. “They’re perfect, kiddo. Your little brother and sister are here. Mommy and Daddy are okay too.”

Raven leaned back, exhausted but glowing, muttering under her breath, “I hate you, Giovanni… I love you so much I could vomit.”

He grinned, leaning down to kiss her. “And I love you, Raven. Every damn word of it.”

The babies cried in the room, the family laughed outside, and chaos gave way to pure happiness.

Ganni bounced on his heels outside the delivery room, his eyes wide with excitement. “Uncle… can I see them yet? Are they okay?”

Gabriel ruffled his hair. “Almost, buddy. Just give your mom and dad a minute to finish the paperwork and calm down. You don’t want to scare them.”

Minutes later, the nurse opened the door slightly, smiling. “Ganni, would you like to meet your brother and sister?”

Ganni’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. “Yes! Yes, yes!” He ran forward, almost tripping over his own feet.

Raven, still lying back on the bed with Giovanni at her side, waved him over. “Careful, big brother. Don’t fall on them!” she teased, her voice tired but full of love.

Ganni approached the bassinet, eyes sparkling, and peeked in. “They’re so tiny!”

Giovanni chuckled, holding Raven’s hand. “Yep. Two tiny humans, your new siblings. Isn’t that amazing?”

Ganni leaned closer, whispering, “What’s their names?”

Raven grinned, exhaustion and happiness mixing in her tired eyes. “Your baby brother is Alessandro, after your grandfather. And your sister is Isabella, after my grandmother.”

Ganni’s jaw dropped. “Alessandro… Isabella… that’s fancy!”

Giovanni laughed. “Only the best for my family.”

Ganni turned to Giovanni and pointed at his mom, still lying back with a playful glare. “Daddy… she looks funny. She keeps telling you off!”

Raven rolled her eyes dramatically. “Funny? I’ve been cussing him out for hours, kid. Don’t you dare mess with me, Giovanni! Your hand was in the wrong place again!”

Giovanni grinned sheepishly. “I’m trying to massage you! I swear!”

Ganni laughed, then leaned into the bassinet. “I love them already. Can I help feed them?”

Raven raised an eyebrow. “Feed them? Kid, you can barely tie your shoes!”

Gabriele laughed loudly. “Patience, Ganni. Your job today is to admire them and give Mommy extra hugs. That’s it.”

Ganni leaned against Raven, hugging her gently. “I’m going to be the best big brother ever, I promise.”

Raven kissed his forehead, smiling warmly. “I know you will, my love.”

Giovanni looked at his little family, his chest swelling with pride. “I can’t believe this… all of you… finally safe, finally ours.”

Ganni peeked back at the twins, babbling excitedly. “They’re so cute! I want to play with them!”

Raven laughed softly, exhausted but joyful. “You’ll get plenty of time. But first, let Mommy and Daddy rest. Then we can all cause chaos together.”

Giovanni kissed her temple, whispering, “I love you so much. And them too. Our little family… it’s perfect.”

Raven smiled, resting her head against his shoulder. “Perfect… and a little loud.”

Ganni giggled, Gabriel laughed, and the babies cooed softly in the bassinets.

The hospital room was quiet now, the soft hum of machines and the occasional coo from the twins filling the space. Raven sat in the chair, one baby cradled in each arm, feeding them carefully, her eyes soft and full of love.

Giovanni leaned against the doorway, watching her, his chest tight with emotion. Every little movement she made…every gentle sway, every tender glance at the babies…made him fall for her all over again.

“You’re incredible,” he whispered, stepping closer. “A strong woman… a fighter… and … you’ve blessed me with a family. I love you.”

Raven looked up at him, a tired but radiant smile spreading across her face. Her fingers reached out to brush a stray lock of hair from his forehead. “I love you too, Giovanni. You’ve always been my home… my safe place.”

He moved closer, sitting beside her, his hand resting over hers as she adjusted the babies. “We went through hell… and somehow, we made it here. Together. You gave me everything I could ever want.”

Raven’s eyes shimmered with tears, happiness spilling over. “And you gave me everything… love, patience, a family. I can’t imagine life without you.”

Giovanni leaned down, kissing her softly, his forehead resting against hers. “I promise… always. No matter what, we’ll face everything together. Always.”

She laughed softly through her tears, the sound warm and full of relief. “Always.”

For a long moment, they simply sat there, watching the twins stir in her arms, listening to their soft cries and coos. The chaos, the pain, the fears…they were gone, replaced by peace, love, and the beauty of the family they had fought so hard to protect.

Giovanni kissed her temple again, whispering, “I love you.”

“I love you,” she replied, her voice steady, her heart full.

And in that quiet hospital room, with the soft warmth of their children between them, they finally let themselves rest. Safe, together, and infinitely in love.

The world outside could wait. Right now… this was perfect.

This was their perfect ending…
