Chapter 190 One Hundred & Ninety

Chapter 190 One Hundred & Ninety
Giovanni was still staring at the file in Detective Reyes’ office, Maeve’s picture burning into his mind, when his phone buzzed in his hand.
Once.
Twice.
Then again.
Something about it made his chest tighten.
Gabriele noticed immediately. “Are you okay?
Giovanni didn’t answer. He slowly pulled the phone out, his eyes narrowing as he saw the name on the screen.
Elara.
His jaw clenched.
He opened the message.
And froze.
A picture filled the screen.
Ganni.
Crying.
Terrified.
“Fuck…no…” Giovanni whispered, his voice hollow.
Gabriele stepped closer. “What…”
Giovanni turned the phone toward him.
Gabriele’s face changed instantly. “What the hell…?!”
Below the picture, the message read:
I’m going to destroy everything dear to you… this is all your fault.
For a second…
Giovanni couldn’t breathe.
The room felt like it was closing in.
“She has him…” he said quietly, but there was something deadly in his tone. “She has my son.”
Gabriele’s expression darkened. “That crazy bitch…”
Giovanni was already moving.
His chair scraped loudly against the floor as he stood up, eyes blazing with fury.
“Mr. Monti…?” Detective Reyes started.
Giovanni turned sharply, his voice cold and dangerous. “I have to go.”
“You don’t understand, this is an ongoing…”
“My son has been kidnapped !” Giovanni snapped, his voice echoing in the room. “Thr bitch that did this.. Has my son.”
Silence fell.
Even the detective paused.
Gabriele grabbed his jacket quickly. “We’ll handle this later,” he muttered to Reyes before turning to Giovanni. “We have to go”
Giovanni was already dialing Raven.
It rang.
And rang.
No answer.
His heart started pounding harder.
“Pick up… pick up…” he muttered under his breath.
Nothing.
He cursed under his breath, shoving the phone into his pocket as he stormed out of the office.
Gabriele followed right behind him.
“What if she’s still at the house?” Gabriele asked quickly.
Giovanni’s eyes darkened. “Then I'm going to make her pay..”
They rushed out of the station, the cold night air hitting them hard as Giovanni unlocked the car with shaking hands.
His phone buzzed again.
Another message.
He opened it.
Come find me, Gio… if you still can.
Something inside him snapped.
He got into the car, slamming the door shut.
“She touched my son…” he said, his voice low, shaking with rage.
Gabriele got in beside him. “Then we end this tonight.”
Giovanni started the engine.
“And if she’s hurt Raven…” his grip tightened on the wheel, eyes burning with something dark and unforgiving.
“…I swear to God, I will kill her.”
The car roared to life and sped into the night.
The car sped through the streets, engine roaring as Gabriele drove like a man possessed.
“Faster,” Giovanni said, gripping the dashboard as the car took a sharp turn.
“I am already going beyond the speed limit,” Gabriele snapped, his eyes locked on the road, heart pounding violently in his chest.
Every second felt too long.
Every second Ganni was with her…
When they finally pulled up to the mansion, Giovanni didn’t even wait for the car to fully stop. He threw the door open and ran inside.
“RAVEN!”
His voice echoed through the house.
No answer.
Gabriele rushed in behind him. “Ganni?!”
Silence.
Then…
Giovanni’s eyes landed on something on the floor.
Blood.
His heart dropped.
“…no…”
He followed it. Step by step.
And then he saw her.
“Rae…?”
Raven was lying on the floor, motionless, blood staining her clothes, her skin pale.
Giovanni froze for half a second…then rushed to her, dropping to his knees beside her.
“Raven! Hey….sweetheart, look at me!” His hands hovered over her, shaking before pressing gently against her face. “Rae… wake up… come on…”
No response.
His breathing became uneven. “No… no, no…”
Gabriele stepped closer, his expression darkening instantly. “Shit…”
Giovanni’s hands moved to her wound, trying to stop the bleeding. “She stabbed her… she fucking stabbed her…”
“Am calling an ambulance,” Gabriele said sharply, already pulling out his phone.
“Come on… come on…”
Raven didn’t move.
Didn’t respond.
“Stay with me, Rae… please…” his voice broke slightly, panic slipping through. “Don’t do this… not now…”
Gabriele gave the address quickly into the phone, his tone urgent. “Female, heavy bleeding, unconscious…. yes, now!”
He ended the call and looked at Giovanni.
“She’s breathing,” he said, trying to stay calm. “She’s still breathing.”
But Giovanni barely heard him.
He pressed his forehead lightly against Raven’s, his voice low and desperate.
“I’m here… I’m here, okay? You’re not leaving me… not like this…”
His hands were covered in her blood.
And somewhere out there…
Elara had his son.
Giovanni’s eyes darkened as he held Raven closer.
“Gabriele…” he said quietly, his voice shaking with rage.
“Yeah.”
“Im going to kill her …”
Gabriele already knew what he was going to say.
“…brutally..”
A pause.
Then cold, deadly
The ambulance doors burst open as they arrived at the hospital, paramedics rushing Raven inside.
Giovanni didn’t leave her side for a second. His hands were still stained with her blood, his heart pounding as they pushed her down the hallway.
“Sir, you need to wait here… ” one of the nurses said, trying to stop him.
“No,” Giovanni snapped. “I’m not leaving her. She's my wife”
“Please, let us do our job,” the nurse insisted firmly.
Gabriele stepped in, gripping Giovanni’s shoulder. “Let them take her. She will be fine.”
Giovanni’s jaw clenched, but he finally stopped, watching as they wheeled Raven through the double doors.
The moment the doors shut…
Silence hit him.
Heavy.
Suffocating.
He ran a hand through his hair, pacing once, twice, his chest rising and falling fast.
“She took him…” he muttered. “She took my son…and stabbed Rae”
Gabriele didn’t respond immediately. His eyes scanned the hallway… then suddenly stopped.
“…Gio.”
Giovanni looked up. “What?”
Gabriele nodded toward a nearby room. “Look.”
Giovanni turned.
And froze.
Through the glass window…
Matteo.
Lying on a hospital bed.
Pale.
A bandage wrapped tightly around his chest. Machines beeping steadily beside him.
“…What the hell…” Giovanni whispered, stepping closer.
Gabriele pushed the door open.
Inside, Matteo stirred slightly, wincing as he tried to move.
“Boss…” his voice came out weak.
Giovanni was at his side in seconds. “Matteo… what happened?”
Matteo swallowed, his breathing uneven. “Elara…”
The name alone made Giovanni’s expression darken instantly.
“She… she stabbed me,” Matteo continued, struggling slightly. “In the restroom… I didn’t see it coming…”
Gabriele cursed under his breath. “That psycho…”
Matteo looked at Giovanni, urgency flashing in his tired eyes. “She’s not stable, boss… she’s gone… completely nut… you have to find her… she up to something …”
“I know,” Giovanni said, his voice low and dangerous. “She has Ganni”
Matteo’s face tightened. “Then there’s no time…”
Giovanni nodded slowly, his fists clenching.
“I’m going to get him back,” he said.
His voice wasn’t loud.
But it was deadly certain.
Gabriele leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his expression just as dark. “And when we do…”
Giovanni didn’t look away from Matteo.
“…it’s over for her.”
The machines beeped steadily in the background.
Raven was fighting for her life.
Matteo was barely holding on.
And Ganni…
Was out there.
With her.
Giovanni straightened slowly, his eyes cold, filled with a dangerous kind of focus.
“Stay alive,” he told Matteo.
Then he turned and walked out of the room.
