"How was your trip overall?" In the vehicle with him and Leslie, Rune longed for someone to break the awkward silence that existed. Twenty minutes had passed since they started driving and Leslie still hadn't spoken a word to him. He decided to break it up with his question. "Fine." Rune looked at Leslie in disbelief after hearing her answer as he expected more from Leslie but got nothing else.

"Oh, good. Did you do anything fun?"

"No." Rune sighed.

It suddenly dawned on him how drastically different his encounter with Romina had been. There was never an awkward silence between the two of them and Romina didn't worry, him. He was starting to see a lot of differences between them, which helped him in his quest to think about potential sugar daddies or mommies in the future.

"Why did you sigh?" Leslie asked as she pulled into a garage Rune didn't recognize.

"Nothing." As Leslie reached over and unbuckled his seat belt, she placed her hand on Rune's face and held his jaw as she stared at him. Rune was startled.

"I really doubt you sighed for no reason. What's going on?" Leslie's gaze wandered to Rune's wrist where it lingered for a moment before returning to rest on Rune's face.

"I tried to start a conversation with you, but since your answers were so short, I got the impression that you didn't want to talk to me. It makes me a little nervous when we're together and we're not talking."

Rune wanted to express exactly how he felt when he was with Leslie. Even though he realized that what was happening between him and Leslie was completely different from a normal relationship, he still had a lot of thoughts about it. He didn't have much experience with relationships and not even with what he was currently doing so he didn't really know what to expect. "I answered your questions as they were asked. While my answer may not have met your expectations, you got your answer. I appreciate the occasional silence. I believe you should take my silence as a positive."

Rune was speechless when it came to replying to Leslie; he wanted to sigh again but finally decided not to. He smiled instead. "I understand well."

"You, Rune?" Leslie looked skeptical at his remark. Rune's emotions were never hidden; it was easy to read for humans and Leslie wasn't a human so it was way too easy for her.

"No, but what other answer could I give to that?"

"Got it. Let's go inside. I had a long flight."

"Where exactly are we?" Rune was confused from the moment they entered the strange garage as it was not a place he was used to. He wondered if Leslie had moved or not.

"You'll find out soon enough."

. . . .

"The same conditions apply here; when you enter this door you must change your shoes and leave your bags and phone on the table to your right." While waiting for Leslie to unlock the door in front of them, Rune nodded. He watched as Leslie walked over to the door and pressed a finger to the keyboard on the side of the wall. He was startled when what appeared to be part of the wall opened and a screen appeared. Leslie leaned closer as the screen scanned her eyes and the door clicked open.

He had never seen anything like it before and suddenly asked if there was an easier way to open the door. It was a mystery to him why Leslie had so many advanced technological security systems installed around her.
