Stay away from my wife!

Desmond turned to face me, a deadly glare on his face. "Keep your mouth shut, demon!" He roared at me.

"Tch tch!" I clicked my tongue. "Sometimes, I can't help but wonder what a gentle and beautiful lady like Mia saw in you. Don't get me wrong; you are handsome and muscular, but I think she deserves better!" I replied and licked my lips. This little act of mine must have angered Desmond. He snarled and gave me a short warning. "Stay away from my wife if you want peace!" Saying that, he left the room, followed by his two guards. Lanky kept looking at me, and I found that strange. Nonetheless, I looked him in the eyes, trying to show him that I wasn't scared.

"You remind me of a certain lady, but I can't remember her name. Was it Angela?" He asked rhetorically and stared into space.

"I don't care about that!" I replied and hissed, "Who knows, perhaps the lady is in hell!" I scoffed.

"Yes, now I remember. Anna! Her name is Anna!" He suddenly said, and without waiting for my response, he left the room. I sat still, my eyes widened in surprise. "Anna?" That was my nickname. My mother called me Anna instead of Arianna. I sat still, trying to process what I had just heard. Who is Lanky? Or did Dragoni send him to get me out of here?" I wondered, and my hopes increased.

I spent the entire day thinking and wondering when I was going to be rescued. The security was much tighter, and I wasn't even given a room to breathe. My pleas and cries fell on deaf ears. When I told them that I wanted to use the toilet, they all ran off. They were scared of coming near me.

I spent my day in boredom; I wasn't served anything as per Alex's order. My rumbling stomach added to my worry.

At night, all the guards were instructed to leave the room after making sure that I was tied up with a silver chain.

I closed my eyes and after a while, I drifted to sleep.

"Hey, beautiful!" I heard a soft, gentle voice, and I opened my eyes in surprise. "How is that?" I asked and looked around, but I could find no one. I shuddered my shoulder; I was probably hearing voices, I thought.

I closed my eyes, but I could not sleep again. I tried to fall asleep, but the voice kept whispering into my ear. "Nima… wake up!" The voice whispered again, and I opened my eyes alert.

"Fred? What are you doing here?" I asked with raised brows.

"I have been here for a while; I miss your adorable face!" He replied and smiled.

Fred stood outside the cage; he was dressed in an all-black outfit, and he had that evil yet scary smile on his face.

"Get me out then!" I growled at him, and he shook his head.

"Not so fast, missy! Why would I endanger my life for you? Don't you know that the cell is covered with silver and electricity?" He replied and squatted.

"Coward!" I scoffed. "What are you doing here then?" I asked with raised brows.

"I came to check up on you, to see if you are still alive!" He replied and hugged his knees. Fred likes to behave like a gentle lady, but when you get to know him, you realize that there is nothing gentle about him. They say to fear the most gentle demons, for they are the real demons!

"Do you like what you see?" I asked and furrowed my brows.

"I thought that Dragoni taught you well, but I guess I was just deceiving myself!" He hissed at me. "You are not ready for this mission; he should have sent someone else!" He replied and scoffed.

"What mission are you talking about? Also don't call me a weakling, or else…"

"Or else what!? I think he was so secretive that he forgot to tell you about me!" Fred said, and I looked at him with distaste in my eyes.

"I am a shapeshifter; I can turn into anything I want. And if I like, I can take you to your new friend's room, pretending to be you, and I will kill them brutally." He threatened, and my eyes reddened.

"They are your friends! So I don't care if you kill them!" I replied in-between gritting my teeth.

"Oh really! But, you will be labeled as a murderer, and I am sure that the next thing Dragoni would hear of you is that your bones have been burst, and your ashes feed to the birds of the air." He still had that smile on his face.

"You bitch! Don't you dare do that, or else Dragoni will not spare you!" I replied aggressively. I tried to stand up, but I was powerless against the chains.

"Look at you; Dragoni calls you his masterpiece; he is always eager to show you off. How will he feel if he finds out that one of his blood was powerless against a werewolf? Perhaps he would realize how useless you are. And who knows, he might even decide to end your horrible life!" Fred said and chuckled.

"Once I get out of here, I promise to tear you limb from limb, and I will personally drag your soul out of your body! I was a fool for trusting a useless man like you. You are so deceiving, and there is nothing special about you!" I growled at him, and he burst into laughter.

"You are right; there might not be anything special about me. What is so special about you?" He asked with raised brows. I also raised my brows; his question was confusing.

"What do you mean? I am Dragoni's creation!" I replied, still confused.

"Exactly!" Fred snapped his fingers at me. "You are his creation, and he won't mind snapping off your head!"

"What exactly are you talking about, bitch?" I yelled at him.

"Very soon you will know," he said and stood up. He dusted his trousers and headed for the door; he suddenly stopped. "By the way, I brought you your favorite snack!" He said and threw a sachet of yummy plantain chips at me. The chip rolled to the floor and stood in front of my cell. I kept looking at the delicious chips, wondering how I was supposed to get them.

"Oh! My bad! You should pick it up! Great masterpiece!" He taunted me at the end and left the cage.

I stared at the chips, but I had to move my mind away from it because I wasn't able to reach it. I kept quiet, deep in thought. I really don't understand Fred's words; every day it keeps getting more weird and confusing.

Just when I thought that my problems had ended, Rody sneaked into the room, an angry gaze was on his face, and he was ready to tear my ear off with his shouting.

He walked into the room and looked around to make sure that no

one was watching him, and to make sure that there was no recorder.

Having made sure that the room was safe, he turned to face me. His expression was a mix of anger and frustration.

"Listen here, you troublemaker," he began, his voice cold and stern. "You've caused enough chaos since you arrived here. I don't know what your game is, but I won't tolerate it any longer."

I sat there, still bound by the silver chain, unable to do much except listen to him.
