Chapter 70 Forceful Kiss
Genesis's POV
"Pack your things. Now." Eli stood outside my door, commanding me.
He and I were locked in a standoff because we disagreed.
I didn't know what had gotten into him. He suddenly said he wanted to take me outdoor camping. Just the two of us.
Countless painful experiences had taught me that whenever we were alone together, things always ended up heading toward the bedroom. So I absolutely didn't want to go.
But Eli was determined to take me out to "relax."
Actually, if he wasn't forcing me, I wouldn't need to relax at all!
I stood in my doorway, stubbornly blocking Eli from entering.
\[I don't want to go camping.\] I signed to Eli.
Eli's expression darkened. He called my name coldly. "Genesis."
My body trembled slightly. I looked at him fearfully but still gripped the door handle tightly, refusing to let go.
For me, the safest place right now was home.
At least Eli wasn't crazy enough to let the entire Martinez family know about our relationship. Though I didn't know how much longer he'd stay normal.
Eli laughed angrily, gritting his teeth as he stared at me.
"Fine! Since that's how it is, you don't need to bring clothes. When we get there, you can wear mine whether it's underwear or outerwear. Or even..."
His dangerous gaze swept over my body.
"You don't have to wear anything at all."
My face immediately turned pale.
I knew Eli could absolutely do it. He was a pervert! A lunatic!
I hung my head and walked into my room. Eli immediately followed.
Watching me pack slowly, he sneered. "Wouldn't it have been better if you'd just listened earlier? I originally suggested camping to make you happy, but now you've made things unpleasant."
Happy?
This wouldn't make me happy at all.
Eli's car stopped at the forest's edge. He turned to look at me. "The car can't go any further. We'll have to walk from here."
I went to the trunk to get my things, but Eli beat me to it, shouldering all our luggage.
The bags that I could barely lift seemed weightless in his hands. He carried them effortlessly.
His shirt stretched tight across his frame, revealing glimpses of those strong arms and smooth, defined muscle lines. I quickly looked away and sighed inwardly.
With Eli's strength, lifting me with one hand probably wouldn't be difficult either.
I followed behind him empty-handed, watching Eli navigate through the forest with practiced ease, going deeper and deeper.
I couldn't help feeling afraid. If something happened out here...
"Watch out!"
Lost in thought, I didn't notice the small stream at my feet. My foot slipped and I started falling toward the water!
At the critical moment, Eli, who was walking ahead of me, spun around and caught me firmly around the waist.
"Are you okay?" Eli asked with concern.
I gripped his solid arm, taking a long time to recover.
For the rest of the journey, Eli held my hand. I struggled hard, but Eli only gripped tighter.
"The path here is rough. I know I was too harsh when I forced you to come out earlier. I apologize. Stop being difficult."
As he spoke, he deliberately loosened his grip when I pulled hard. I almost fell again.
Eli steadied me once more.
His face carried a hint of amusement. "See? You need me."
He did that on purpose!
But nearly falling was a fact. I stopped struggling and obediently followed behind him.
After walking for what felt like forever, we finally reached our camping destination.
It was a flat meadow with a clear stream nearby. I could even see small fish swimming in it.
Listening to the babbling water, my tense emotions finally relaxed.
I had to admit, this place was indeed comfortable.
Eli handled setting up the tent and barbecue grill while I spread out the picnic blanket. The breeze occasionally blew past. I lifted my face to feel the gentle caress and couldn't help but smile slightly.
It would be even better if Eli wasn't here.
I looked at Eli in the distance, thinking about how he'd forced me to reject the Novien University of Technology offer and wouldn't even let me go to school anymore. Every single thing made me lose any desire to communicate with him.
I'd known all along that I wouldn't say what he wanted to hear, and he wouldn't give me what I wanted. We couldn't reach an agreement.
Eli seemed to sense my gaze and walked over.
"Isn't this place nice?" He sat beside me, asking softly.
Though I didn't want to acknowledge him, I honestly nodded.
Eli chuckled. "I discovered this place during a hike once and thought it would be perfect for camping. It's quiet here, no people around, and the air is fresh. Very suitable for relaxing."
He turned his head, leaning in to gaze into my eyes.
"You've been in such a bad mood lately. I thought bringing you here would help you relax."
I lowered my eyes. No matter how nice this place was, it wasn't what I wanted.
Eli pulled me onto his lap and handed me a perfectly roasted marshmallow. "Stop being angry. Isn't it good to just stay by my side like this?"
I nodded, temporarily agreeing with him. I needed to find a chance to escape his control, and the first step was making him lower his guard around me. So I needed to be compliant first.
Eli smiled and pulled a jewelry box from his pocket, handing it to me.
I hesitated for a moment before taking the box from him. Opening it, I found a silver necklace. The pendant was a sword that looked very delicate.
"This is a necklace I personally crafted for you. The sword's sheath can be pulled out to reveal a tiny dagger. If you encounter danger, you can use it to cut an enemy. Do you like it?"
Eli demonstrated the sword's clever design as he spoke.
I nodded again. The necklace was indeed special.
Eli smiled.
Seeing his smile made me uncomfortable. I stuffed the marshmallow into my mouth.
"Is it sweet?" Eli asked with a smile.
The marshmallow's sugary taste filled my mouth. I nodded.
"Let me taste it." Eli stared at me intently as he asked.
I uncomfortably handed him a marshmallow, but Eli shook his head. "That's not sweet enough."
He suddenly leaned over and kissed my lips deeply.
His large hands urgently grabbed at my clothes, peeling them away like unwrapping candy.
I struggled in panic. \[We're outside!\]
Eli breathed heavily, his burning lips against my ear. "Then let's go into the tent."
