Chapter 61 Driving Lesson
Genesis's POV
Forth asked me about the College Counseling Meeting after midterms. I told him my foster parents wouldn't be attending.
They had never come to school to communicate with teachers about me. They didn't care what college I applied to.
But Forth misunderstood what I meant. "Right, since you've already decided to apply to Novien University..."
Then I saw Eli with his car window down, looking in our direction. I was startled and quickly interrupted Forth!
\[I have to go!\] I rapidly signed to Forth and ran toward Eli.
Eli's burning gaze fell on me, like he wanted to devour me whole.
I nervously gripped my backpack straps, frantically praying in my heart that Eli hadn't heard what Forth said!
"Whose parent is that? He's so hot!"
Just then, a few girls walked past the car window arm in arm. They excitedly covered their mouths and huddled together.
I looked up at Eli. His shirt sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, revealing strong, powerful arms. One arm rested on the window frame, the other on the steering wheel. His muscle definition became even more obvious with his movements.
The girls immediately squealed. They excitedly looked back. "With a body like that, he must be amazing in bed! Being held by arms like those around your waist, you definitely couldn't escape even if you wanted to!"
Hearing their words, I couldn't help but picture Eli holding my waist while kissing me. Heat gradually spread across my face.
Eli looked at me suggestively. "What are you thinking about, you dirty-minded little mute? Whether I'm good in bed or not, you could try and find out."
I glared at him and walked toward the passenger side.
With so many women wanting to sleep with him, why did Eli have to pick me? My figure couldn't compare to those curvy, hot women, and my personality was boring as hell.
Maybe Eli had never played with a woman like me before and found it novel, so he kept persisting.
As long as I angered him a few more times, he would definitely lose interest and give up.
I made up my mind and got in the car.
As soon as I got in, Eli clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction. "Why do you hang around that Forth every day? Can't you make female friends? What's so good about stinky men?"
I looked at Eli speechlessly. What position was he speaking from? He was the playboy who left a trail of broken hearts everywhere.
But since he mentioned Forth so calmly, he probably hadn't heard what Forth said earlier?
My anxious heart finally relaxed a little.
Since he disliked Forth so much, wasn't this the perfect opportunity to anger him?
I deliberately signed to him: \[I just think it's fun hanging out with Forth. I even helped him with tutoring.\]
Eli's expression darkened.
He gripped my chin with his thumb and forefinger, roughly rubbing my lips twice. "How does this mouth of yours only say things that make me angry?"
He bit my lip vengefully.
I glared at him: \[I used sign language. I don't speak at all.\]
Eli laughed angrily and hit the steering wheel. The horn honked loudly.
The sudden sound startled me. I immediately backed toward the car door and pressed against it.
Seeing me like this, Eli's emotions actually calmed down.
He reached out to pinch my cheek and sighed. "I don't know if you're brave or cowardly. You're so fierce when you're making me angry, but even a car horn can scare you."
He leaned over and fastened my seatbelt.
The man's strong scent suddenly hit me, and my heartbeat skipped.
Fortunately, Eli had no other intentions. After fastening my seatbelt, he stepped on the gas and drove off.
The car drove smoothly on the road. Eli brought up Forth again.
"I just heard that Forth guy say you're applying to Novien University? What school is that? I don't think I've ever heard of it."
In that moment, my blood felt like it froze. My whole body went rigid.
He really had heard what Forth said!
I couldn't even imagine how Eli would explode if he knew my plan! I'd probably never escape for the rest of my life!
I pinched my thigh hard, forcing myself to calm down.
Fortunately, I'd interrupted Forth quickly enough. He hadn't said the full school name.
I looked at Eli with feigned confusion: \[What Novien University? Forth only mentioned Walton University.\]
"Really? Maybe I heard wrong." Eli muttered quietly, his brow furrowing slightly.
My breathing nearly stopped. My gaze remained fixed on Eli's face.
Fortunately, Eli believed me!
He clicked his tongue irritably. "That Forth really is useless. He can't even speak clearly. You're already a little mute, and hanging around him makes it even more hopeless. You should stay away from him."
My tense nerves finally relaxed.
I didn't want to deal with this man at all. I turned my head away and wouldn't talk to him.
Eli got angry again and snorted coldly. "Before, you didn't dare breathe loudly in front of me. Now you dare give me attitude to my face."
My movements paused slightly. Had I really become so relaxed around him?
But this was good. It would only accelerate his disgust with me. I'd be free of him soon!
The next day was Saturday. Early in the morning, Eli demanded I go out with him. He wanted to take me to his crew's training ground to teach me to drive.
The targets previously used for shooting practice had been moved aside, clearing a large space for my training.
Eli parked the car on the track, opened the door and put me in the driver's seat, then smoothly walked around to the passenger side and closed the door.
Suddenly facing the steering wheel, I looked at him somewhat helplessly.
Eli leaned over, his arm resting on the back of my seat in a surrounding posture.
"Listen to my rules." He began with a wicked smile. "Rule one, watch the instructor."
His finger pointed to himself. Those gray-blue eyes were like a whirlpool that could suck me in.
"Rule two, the instructor is always right. For example, you should kiss your instructor now." He curved into a wicked smile and leaned closer, indicating I should kiss him.
This bastard!
I turned my head away and signed: \[I'm only here to learn driving.\]
He understood but deliberately misinterpreted. "So you want me to take the initiative."
Ignoring my resistance, he cupped the back of my head and gave me a deep kiss.
Just when I was almost breathless from his kiss, his large hand suddenly covered mine on the gear shift.
His burning palm guided my hand across the gears. "P, R, N, D... Remember that?"
I was already dizzy from his kiss. How could I remember any of this?
Eli chuckled softly and suggestively bit my earlobe. "If you don't remember, the instructor will have to punish you severely."
