Eli's POV:
I ran through the Nelson family villa like a madman.
If Forth hadn't told me Lennon had taken her here, I never would have found this place.
Delilah followed behind me, constantly denying everything. "I really didn't see Genesis. Maybe you got the wrong information..."
I ignored her and rushed to Lennon's door according to the intel. Without hesitation, I drew my gun and blasted the lock with two shots.
The first thing I saw were five horrifying bloody streaks on the hallway carpet, dragged all the way into the depths of the room.
My breathing nearly stopped.
Could it be... Genesis?
Delilah tried to stop me, but I shoved her aside mercilessly and charged into the room.
One look and my heart clenched tight.
That animal! How dare he treat Genesis like this!
I flew over and punched Lennon hard in the head, grabbing his hand that was on Genesis's throat and twisting it back violently!

Looking at Genesis before me, I didn't know how to get her down safely!
I'd walked the line between life and death countless times, but I'd never felt such terror. If I'd been just one step later...
I carefully took Genesis down from the cross. She opened her eyes with blurred consciousness, looking at me once before silently moving her lips.
This time, I recognized what she was saying.

Lennon cursed and charged at me, waving a gun in my direction. "You dare hit me! That's my woman, put her down!"
"Your woman?" All my rage had nowhere to go. I grabbed his wrist and smashed down hard with my gun butt.
Lennon's gun clattered to the floor. He cursed at me and Genesis like a madman.
I kicked him to the ground and fired two shots into both his shoulders.
The pain he gave Genesis, I'd make him pay back ten times, a hundred times over!
My heel ground mercilessly into his wounds as I crouched down and stared at him. "I won't let you get away with this."
But Genesis's injuries were more urgent now.
I took off my jacket to wrap around Genesis and carried her out.
I didn't dare remove the iron hooks from her shoulders carelessly. I'd have to take them to the hospital together.
Delilah ran over frantically. "How could you hurt Lennon? His engagement with Genesis has already..."
I suddenly looked up, staring at her coldly.
Delilah was frightened by my expression and didn't dare continue.
I pushed past her and kept walking with Genesis.
"Eli!" Delilah chased after me unwillingly. "She's just some cheap woman! Am I, your fiancée, not better than her?"

In the car, I didn't dare put Genesis down, afraid of touching her wounds.
So I let her continue lying in my arms.

I couldn't imagine how much agony she felt when that animal drove iron hooks through her shoulder blades.

I punched the seat back hard, angrily glancing back at the Nelson family villa.

He handed me another file. It was actually a cooperation plan with the Smith family from Eastern Europe.
"Their pharmaceuticals are excellent. They can completely fill the gap left by the Nelson family. You must make the trip personally."

Before leaving, I suddenly stopped and turned back to Jordan.
I asked, "About the Nelson family betraying me this time, what if Christian was also involved? And Genesis?"
Jordan sat silently behind his chair, saying nothing.
