Chapter 96.

**Sofia's POV.**

The next morning I woke up and Benjamin was gone. I quickly went downstairs to see if he was there so where but he wasn't there. I went in the kitchen and saw that he left a letter and cooked breakfast for us.

'I didn't know what you like to eat now that you pregnant that's why I made three different meals. I hope Emily likes it and please tell Elijah I'll pick him up from school. I'm still angry with you for not letting him go to the grade I applied for him. Sofia know that I'll always love you and our children even if I'm not there right now. So take care of yourself and our children for me, just for a few more weeks. By the way everything I told you last night, I hope you don't tell anyone about it. If Carlene asks you if you saw me than don't tell her anything. I love you forever and always.'

"Mommy why are you crying?" Elijah asked and I quickly put the page down.

"Your father will pick you up from school today." I told him wiping my tears but he wasn't happy.

"Mommy, Uncle Aidee said his going to always pick me up." Elijah mumbled.

"Eli uncle Aiden is not your father so please just eat and don't argue with me." I should've known Elijah spending too much time with Jailson was a bad idea. Now he doesn't even want his father picking him up anymore.

"Mommy, uncle Aidee said his going to buy me ice-cream." Elijah said sitting on the chair.

"Daddy will buy you anything you want now stop it and eat your food so you can go to school okay my baby." He quickly nod his head.

It's been two weeks and Benjamin has been picking Elijah up from school but Benjamin and I haven't seen each other since the night I thought he would commit suicide. Elijah would always be dropped and Benjamin would wait until I open the door, he wouldn't even greet me not that I mind after everything he told me.

Anna gave birth to a beautiful girl and I could see she was happy even though she was praying for a boy and as for Marko, he was over the mood because he loves girls more then boys and this is actually the first time I heard of such thing.

Love : Everything is done. I can't wait to see you tonight and tell you everything. It's over Sofia I love you.

I read the message Benjamin send me and I shut my eyes, I cried but it was tears of joy.

Me : You not joking right. You and Carlene are really done?

I asked because I can't deal with another broken heart.

Love : Wrong message! I was suppose to send that to my wife.

I blinked a couple of times and I started crying again.

Love : Don't tell me you crying! I was talking about you Sofia. I love you and I never lied about that.

Me : You said wife! And I'll get you back one day trust me

I was angry at how he would joke about a thing like that.

Love : I'll explain everything to you when I come tonight because right now I'm getting something done. I love you and don't forget that. See you later love, bye.

I read his message and I couldn't stop crying and smiling. Everyone says his ruthless, heartless and cold but that's what I thought he was too and right now I can see he isn't. I guess we just have to get to know someone to find out what they true colours is.

The door bell rang and I was surprise because I thought Benjamin would only came tonight. So I ran to open it and guess who it was?

Carlene standing in front of me with angry.

"What do you want?" I asked taking a few steps backwards because I'm pregnant and there's no way I can fight with her.

"Relax Sofia, cat fight or any other fight isn't my thing." Carlene replied closing the door. "I just came to talk to you about Benjamin."

"Get out." I shouted. "Benjamin told me everything already so please just leave, I don't want trouble."

"If he told you everything than why were you so excited to open the door?" She asked giggling. "Benjamin doesn't love you. Wait actually that came out wrong." I looked at her confused and a wicked smirk appeared on her face. "Benjamin doesn't love you more than his reputation."

"Okay, thank you. Now can you leave." I was tired of her nonsense.

"You really don't know anything." Carlene started laughing. "My poor fat pregnant women, Benjamin didn't tell you anything."

"Tell me what? That you promised to sign the divorce papers if he stays with you for a few months?" I uttered annoyed and she burst out laughing.

"Benjamin and I were never married. All my life I made sure no one found out, the only people that knew was a priest and my father but Benjamin found out." Carlene said angry.

"Well I'm happy Benjamin found out now can you please leave, I want to take a nap before the love of my life comes." I rolled my eyes annoyed at her and she giggled.

"You call him the love of your life when he didn't even want to be with you." She replied. "Sofia, I was blackmailing him with your stripping video's that he had on his phone. He didn't want me posting it because it would ruin his reputation. You were married to him you know how much Benjamin loves his reputation. If anyone found out his former ex-wife actually his wife is a former stripper than his whole career would be over. "

"I don't care Carlene. Just get out please." I shouted and she laughed turning around.

"Too bad you can never find a man that loves you with all your flaws." Carlene said as she left.

I quickly picked up my phone and started calling Benjamin. I hope Carlene is lying, I hope he wasn't ashame of me.

"Do you really love me that much to---."

"Was she blackmailing you with my stripping videos?" I asked interrupting him.

"Sofia where did you get that?" Tears start streaming down my face.

"So Carlene was telling the truth. You care so much about your reputation. Benjamin, are you really ashamed of what I used to do?"

"Of course not. Sofia I'm not ashamed of you. I love you--."

"Stop lying." I shouted. "If you love me like you said than you wouldn't have left me because of Carlene's blackmailing. Benjamin if you told me then I would tell you that I wouldn't care if those videos were posted on every social media as long as I had the love of my life and my children with me."

"Sofia I couldn't be selfish. You have to believe me that I did everything for you." He replied. "You believed Carlene when she told you that but whenever I say something you never believe me."

"Carlene has no reason to lie. Benjamin you lied to me, you said that night you won't ever hide anything from me ever again."

"I did it to protect you. I knew if I told you, you would blame yourself for everything. I'm sorry I lied to you and I'm sorry you found out." Benjamin said.

"You not ashamed of me or what I have been through?" I asked wiping my tears.

"No. That's why everything I do nowadays is for you and our family." Benjamin replied. "Can we forget everything that happened and start a new from tonight. I swear there won't be anymore Carlene, I'll make sure of that. I love you and I have a lot to tell you tonight."

"I'm sorry and I promise to always trust you. I love you more, see you tonight." I quickly hang up and say on the couch.

She thought she could break us but yet again her plan didn't succeed.

My phone peeped and I quickly looked at my message, and it was from Carlene.

Carlene : Please help me!

I read her message and I shook my head confused.

Carlene : Benjamin wants to kill me for telling you everything.

Carlene : I'm sorry for everything but please. I can't die. I'm too young to die.

Carlene : Sofia for once in my life I'm begging you. Please.

I read her messages but I couldn't reply. I was shock and confused. Why would she ask for my help, does she want to set me up?

I quickly send Benjamin a message to tell him I'll meet Carlene but it only showed one tick.

"I swear there won't be anymore Carlene."

Benjamin's words kept playing in my head. What if Carlene is telling the truth and Benjamin wants to kill her.

I quickly fetched the laptop to see where Carlene was actually at. Maybe she wants to kill me.

The laptop was too slow but finally I found her location and it was at Benjamin's house the same house Martin was killed.
