Chapter 49

Sofia's POV.

I decided not to leave the hotel because that man didn't send securities or anyone to kick me out.

I kept coming up with ideas the whole night but nothing worked out. Benjamin might've already send my kids away. I should've never trusted that cheater. I don't care if I love him, if anything happens to my children I swear I'll kill him.

I lay down on my bed and the second I thought of closing my eyes I heard someone open the door. I got up and there he was, Benjamin standing in front of me with flowers.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled giving me the flowers but I threw them on the floor. "Did you miss me that much?"

"Where's my children? How could you do this to me Benjamin? What kind of a man are you? How many times will you keep breaking my heart?"

"What's wrong Sofia. I know I was gone for two days but that is because my—"

"I don't care. I just want my kids, where are they?" I shouted interrupting him.

"I asked the lady at the reception to look after them while I surprise you. Charlotte thought it would be a good idea but I told her you wouldn't want the children here." Benjamin said and I walked passed him and went to the receptionist.

"Eli and Em." I went down on my knees and opened my arms for them. I miss them so much in those last couple of days. "Can I get my son?" I said and she gave Oliver to me. "My beautiful baby boy, did you miss your mommy?"

"Mommy I did miss you." Elijah answered even though I wasn't talking to him. "Can we go mommy, Em and I want to sleep." He added and we all left for my room.

I put Oliver on the bed because he was fast asleep and I told Elijah and Emily to sleep next to him.

"I'm sorry." Benjamin mumbled and I grabbed his hand and walked out of the room. "I can explain Sofia. I was really so busy that I forgot what day it was and—"

"I don't care Benjamin. I only want to know if you did go to New York after you told me you will fetch me later?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"But I went there because—"

"I don't care." I shouted interrupting him. "I don't care if you went there because of a girl or not. Benjamin I'm tired of your lies. I left you because of that and you already started lying again. Benjamin I don't care if you went to New York for work. I just wish you could've told me that you would be seeing someone so I wouldn't be worried about you. I thought something happened to you but instead you took a flight to New York when you the same person that begged me to come here."

"But Sofia, that isn't why I went back home. I swear I went there to visit—"

"I don't want to hear it. Just leave Benjamin. The kids will stay with me in this room, you can book another room if you want." I went inside and locked the door.

I would've booked a ticket if my children wouldn't be so tired. I will have to just stay here for a few days until they are better because traveling up and down isn't a good thing for them.

An hour later I heard a phone ringing in Elijah's pocket and I quickly took it out. I can't believe he had my phone.

As soon as I answered it Charlotte started speaking.

"Hey Sofia, I'm glad you answered." Charlotte said. "Are you with my brother? How is he doing?"

"That's why you called?" I questioned not even waiting for her respond I added. "I'm not with him Charlotte and I don't care about him. He is not staying with us so please call him on his cell phone."

"What do you mean he isn't with you? Did you even let him explain? Sofia, why are you so stubborn?" She asked.

"Why should I listen to him." I replied angry.

"What have you done Sofia? Yesterday was the same day our mother passed away. He forgot Sofia that's why he was punishing himself. Every year the same day we would all go together to visit mother's grave and Benjamin would always want to stay alone that same day. Sofia if you would've let him explain than you would've known he didn't do anything on purpose." She explained and I hang up.

Why didn't I just let him explain? Why I'm I always so stupid?

I quickly left the room but he wasn't outside so I went back inside and woke Elijah up.

"My baby, I'm really sorry about this but can you stay awake in case anything happens? Elijah you know your father's number so please call him if you need anything." I told him and he agreed so I went down to the receptionist.

"Ma'am, can you please tell me which room Mr Carson booked in?" I asked.

"He didn't book a room, he just left a while ago." She replied "Can I make a call please? It's urgent and I'll pay, I promise." I told her and she gave me her phone so I called Stephanie.

"Steph, please give the phone to Jay." I quickly said and she sighed.

"Jay speaking, what do you want sister-in-law?" He questioned.

"Is there any place Benjamin likes in Dubai? Jay he is angry with me and he left so please tell me—"

"Are you dressed right?" He asked.

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"Well, there is a place we visited as teenagers and trust me it's not for you. It's like a club but it's not a club Sofia, there's every sort of illegal things happening there and if you go there they might even mistake you as a prostitute." He explained and gave me the name afterwards. "Be careful." He added and I hang up.

"Thank you so much." I said to the women and I ran outside and took a taxi. I told the man the place and he was too shock when he heard it.

The second I arrived there I went in and looked everywhere for Benjamin but I couldn't find him.

Benjamin's POV.

I was by my third glass when a women interrupted me. How many fucking times must I turn them down? Are they really that desperate.

"Can I get you a drink sir?" The women asked.

"How many times must I tell you all, I'm not interested. I'm married and I have children." I replied drinking.

"I'm also married but I like you." She stated and I turned to her angry. "Can we go home?"

"What are you doing in this place? It's not a place for people like you." I shouted at her.

"I'm sorry Benjamin. I should've let you explain, I didn't know it was about your mother or else I swear I would've never thought you were cheating on me or taking my children away from me. Please forgive me Benjamin." She begged me. "And please stop drinking, for my sake."

"Fine, now please just go home."

"If you going to stay than I will stay too and if you won't give up on drinking than I will drink too. I'll do everything you do." I knew she was bluffing so I started to finish my drink and she left.

"Benjamin." I heard Sofia shout my name and I turned to her. "I swear I'm going to leave with him if you don't cone with me." She added and I got up from the chair. She is really looking for trouble.

"Sofia, don't start a fight. Don't—"

"Why should I listen to you? I'm going take him home." She said interrupting me.

"If you want to see him dead than take him." She quickly let his hand go.

"You always threatening people Benjamin but I can't even do that with you. It feels like you don't love me anymore because you do as you please. Benjamin do you even love me because I really think you—"

"Don't say that Sofia. Please don't ever say that you know I love you and only you." I mumbled wiping her tears. "You want to go home right?" I questioned and she nodded her head. "Then let's go. You know I'll do whatever makes you happy."

"Then why didn't you tell me Benjamin? Why didn't you ever tell me the day your mother died? Why don't you ever open up to me Ben?"

"Sofia I hate myself for forgetting the day my mother died so please don't ask me those questions."

Sofia's POV.

The next day we all got ready because Benjamin had a surprise for us. He dropped all of us at the mall and told me he is fetching the surprise. After a few minutes, Benjamin came back.

"I want you all to meet my secret family." Benjamin said smiling and I got up confused. "You don't have to be jealous Sofia." I rolled my eyes. "This is my Aunt Danielle, Uncle Aldon and my little cousin Lily Knight, Damien's little sister."

"Damien's parents?" I asked surprise and they nodded their heads. "But I thought you guys all left." I bit my tongue.

"Well, it was for Damien's own good but I'm sorry your husband can't tell you anything. We asked him to promise to never tell anyone what happened unless Damien decides to. Anyways you so beautiful, my sister would've loved you as her daughter-in-law." Aunt Danielle said. "Meet my cry baby daughter Lily, she's as crazy as Benjamin and Damien."

"I'm not like them mommy, Benjamin is bad and Damien is rude by the way Sofia I'm going to be thirteen soon but my brother and cousin doesn't want me to date, actually my own brother doesn't even like me. You know what he calls me? Little ugly rat." She started giggling and I just smiled at her. I never knew Damien could be rude. "Who is this cutie? My little nephew?"

"Yeah, his name is Oliver. This one is Elijah and this is my baby girl Emily." I said.

"He is also cute. I think I met him before, when Benjamin came to visit. Anyways mother I am nice to Sofia so can I get my phone back please." Before aunt Danielle could say a word Lily started to laugh again. "I'm joking guys, my mommy isn't forcing me to be nice. This is just how I am, my dad says I'm like my brother's wife, Charlotte who is also my cousin or something. Weird family right?" She asked and before I could open my mouth she continued. "Anyways you should've met my brother Aiden before he left, he is the best. My favorite brother because Damien and Benjamin are both short tempered. If I tell Damien I want a boyfriend he will just tell me I'm too ugly to have a boyfriend or he will say he will kill me and my boyfriend. Then there is Benjamin, he is straight forward, he literally threatened me with a gun but Aiden. He is just the best, he didn't threaten me or anything instead he just said if I want to date he won't stop me but I should know that boys now a days only ruins a girls reputation."

"Lily if you keep talking then how will you get to know your sister-in-law." Benjamin asked.

"Good question Mr Carson but honestly I don't need her to talk when you always only talk about her." She replied acting smart and aunt Danielle hit her on the head.

"I'm sorry to cut this short children, but I need to see someone urgently and I can't leave my them here." Uncle Aldon said and I nodded my head.

"It was nice meeting you all." I mumbled as I gave each one of them a hug.
