Chapter 7 The Second Kiss
Zayd: The second kiss
“You have to come with us” Matt repeated as he appeared by the door.
“I’m not coming with you because I have to clean up the mess you just created. “
“What’s mess?” He eyed me cautiously whilst pointing his dart shooter at me.
“I just told you this is Van-Authr’s daughter.” I placed Amrah the bean bag carefully so as not to touch the dart logged in her arm.
“How is she here?” Matt didn't believe me.
“I guess she can only answer that once she wakes up.”
“Old master insisted that you must come with us because you have breached the agreement.” He said dismissing my statement.
He didn't believe me of course.
“I am not coming with you. Old master will be furious even knows that you harmed Van-Authr’s daughter.
“I don’t believe you. This is not an author‘s daughter. Please don't make this hard for both of us, just come with me.” He insisted, not sparing Amrah another glance.
I held out Amrah's wrist to show the bracelet on it.
Matt took a step closer to inspect at the bracelet and his brows knitted in a small frown.
He realized I wasn't lying to escape again.
“How is she here?” he asked.
“I told you she would reply if she’s awake now, so remove dart”
Matt closer cautiously glanced at me, and pulled out the dart in Amrah's arm with his gloved fingers. The body of the dart had tiny prickly tips that were also coated in tranquilizer.
“Go back and tell Old master that I am not coming with you because I didn’t breach the agreement. I have my team working on blurring out my face from the moment”
I took my shirt from the hook and slipped it on. I need to get Amrah out of here before the guys come back, it was already getting late.
“But he…”
“I told you to get the hell out of here” my voice was stern, giving no room for argument. I knew Matt had run out of darts, else he would have shot me out of frustration.
He gave me one last glance and left, his men right behind him. I picked up Amara, thinking of how to clean up the mess.
Amrah is untouchable. As much as she seemed like a simple girl, she came from a rather impressive background.
Every student of Minaret Towers came from a rather impressive background of course. I was stuck between deciding if I should take her back to her apartment or to the hospital.
“Her apartment would be the best option now”
Thankfully, I saw an apartment key card fall out of her bag. I took her into the car and drove off.
At the building parking lot, I decided to wait for the drug effect to wear off while I thought of what to tell her.
After about 30 minutes, she didn’t wake up. It was past eight pm, the time everyone would be returning back to their apartment.
I drove to the underground parking lot and took the stairs all the way up to the last floor where our apartments were located. I used her key card to open her apartment and took her in.
I had just placed her on her bed when she shifted, her eyes slowly pried open, and my heart leaped.
Fuck… those pair of beautiful green eyes.
“Huh?” she sprang up in confusion and surprise but held her head immediately.
“Ow!”
“What is wrong?” I asked, hoping that the tranquilizer didn't leave a negative effect on her.
“I'm sorry, it is nothing … I just felt dizzy from sitting up in a rush” she let out a heavy breath.
“How do you feel?”
“Good. What happened to me?” a small confused frown etched on her face.
“You passed out”
I still haven't thought of an excuse and my mind was swirling with thoughts that were so inappropriate for the situation. The way she was staring up at me didn't do me any good.
“I know. Why did I pass out? I remember seeing you at the garage… and then I… I what?” she looked at me as if waiting for me to tell her what had happened.
“You passed out. What were you doing alone in the garage?” I hoped my question would divert the discussion.
“I was.. Um, I was looking for Chris.” A pale shade of pink dusted her cheeks as she spoke.
“Oh? Why?” I pressed forward feeling a wave of jealousy hit me.
“He is not picking my calls” she replied with a hint of frustration.
“I did something wrong, so he is angry.” she quickly added before I could say anything.
“I see” I straightened up and turned to leave. I didn't want her to see my anger.
How dare Chris ignore her?
“Wait!” she hurriedly got out of bed but slipped. I instinctively grabbed her before she could hit the floor, my arms wrapped around her supple waist. Her hand shot forward and grabbed my arm to steady herself.
“Oh, sorry. I'm so sorry” she apologized profusely.
My eyes followed the movement of her mouth as she spoke, and the only thing I could think of was to kiss her.
“Can I kiss you?” I said without thinking, and I didn't regret it.
“Huh?” she was dazed by my sudden request. I forced my gaze away from her lips to her eyes.
“Can I kiss you?” I repeated calmly, my eyes boring into hers.
She was conflicted, scared, and embarrassed but was also leaning in unconsciously. Her tongue darted out to moisten her lips unconsciously, her neck moved as she swallowed.
My eyes followed the movement of her neck, and my cock hardened instantly.
“Fuck…” I muttered. I think I just lost my mind.
Amrah blushed harder on hearing me curse under my breath, her lips parted and closed right back as she struggled to find an answer.
“Zayd…”
“Can I?”
A small nod, and that was all I needed. I tilted my head down and took her lips in a slow sensual kiss, Amrah held my shoulder with her free hand and a small whine escaped her.
She moved clumsily against me, her body relaxing into mine. My other hand cradled the back of her neck and I slowly guided my mouth against her.
I was slowly losing myself to the taste of her and the feel of her against my body, her soft whimpers in between the kiss did things to my head.
I was fucking kissing her, again!
My fingers trembled as I trailed them over her waist, she quivered lightly against me. My heart was hammering wildly as her hand slipped from my shoulder to my chest, pulling me closer by my shirt.
And then the doorbell rang.
As if she sat on a hot pan, Amrah jolted away from me on hearing the doorbell, her eyes widened in fear.
“Could it be Chris?” she muttered fearfully, her eyes darting between the door and me.
