58. Still Addicted To You

“A shot of vodka, please.”

I said, wondering why one bad thing or the other had to always happen to me.

While I walked out of the house, Mr. Reyes tried to talk to me, but I didn’t even feel like speaking to anyone.

Not at all.

I felt like shit and didn’t even know what to do.

My mouth tasted in displeasure when he gave me his business card. I put it in my purse, walking to Orange Summers, the only place that seemed to understand me.

“And one too, for me.”

A familiar low baritone voice, lurked in surprisingly behind me. I looked behind me, only to see Liam clothed in his usual black expensive suit, looking as handsome and gorgeous as ever.

He settled on a chair just beside me.

I almost couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Liam, what are you doing here?”

I asked, with a sigh, almost cringing in distress. A look of worry was plastered on my face, with him beside me.

“Jackson told me about it all.”

I sighed.

Obviously.

Of course, he did. Even forgot I had seen him a few hours ago.

“I see you met with Mr. Reyes?”

He remarked, tousling a part of his jet-black hair, and toying with the straw in his cup of vodka.

I wondered what he was up to.

“Are you spying on me? If I remember correctly, we broke up so you have no right to interfere with anything,”

Suddenly, his firm hands immediately clenched around my shoulders tightly.

“Eleanor, I want you to listen to me carefully.”

I wriggled my brows confusingly at his sudden move.

“I chose to go to Mexico to find out more about your father’s company, for a partnership.”

He knew Mr. Reyes was my father, how?

“But while interrogating, I discovered your he was involved in a dirty business, that is legitimately covered by Blue Spirit.”

“One that is very risky, that you might want to stay away from,”

Liam looked into my eyes, saying.

“W-What the hell do you mean by that?”

I asked, looking at him with a defensive look.

“That old man has cancer and a few months to live. Why would he want to involve me, his daughter, in something like this?”

Every instant…nothing made sense anymore.

“BLUE SPIRIT. Does that ring any bell?”

He asked, looking into my eyes with his big brown ones.

Some set of flashbacks immediately zoomed into my head. Of while we were at Mexico and the glassy building that spelled, “BLUE SPIRIT.”

That man…coming out of the vehicle and slapping about ten different suited men. I recalled him yelling that they were all fired, for some reason.

That cruel man…he was my f-father?

“Y-Yeah… But, after all these years, why would he come back to ruin my life?”

I said, air-headed, drinking more vodka.

“That’s another thing we need to find out, Eleanor. But I need you to play along with him,”

He said.

I was really beginning to feel tipsy…

“Why should I? You don’t get to tell me what to do,”

I spat out, grabbing my purse and moving the stool, while standing up.

My head was hazy and my legs were weak. Seemed like I already drank too much, once more. And somehow, I ended up with him.

“Eleanor,”

He stated, in a low baritone which led to goosebumps flooding my skin.

I hoped I didn’t say too much, like the last time.

Hands suddenly wrapped around my waist, preventing me from tripping. I sighed immediately, knowing I shouldn’t be doing this— getting involved with this almighty billionaire again.

But… dammit, I missed everything about him.

His fresh musky after shave scent, and this feeling of being around him.

“I need to go, Liam. Please…”

I trailed out, knowing any slight push from him would lead to me not controlling myself.

“You have to listen to me on this, this time. Don’t make me force you to…”

It seemed like those were his words, but my drunken self couldn’t even figure out if that was what he said.

I couldn’t even figure out how exactly I got to his car.

…

He drove us to his mansion. I could tell from how spacious and lit it was, compared to mine. While his maids assisted in carrying his suitcase and my purse, Liam dragged me to one of the rooms.

I knew it wasn’t his, because it didn’t even scent like him.

“Why did you bring me here?”

I gritted my teeth, as a feeling of dizziness swooshed in.

“I must be hell mad to leave you at the bar like that,”

He stated.

“You should have taken me home,”

“To see your mum, who caused this? I’m not letting you start another fight, red.”

He said, settling me on the bed, with my hands around his neck. Liam was about pulling away when I locked my hands around his neck, inhaling his heavenly scent.

“Eleanor…what are you doing? You need to let go or I won’t be able to control myself,”

With his skin on mine, I was insanely turned on. I mean my breasts brushed his hard chest, and one of my hands, were directed to his rock-hard abs.

My head was indeed foggy and was beginning to contain lust, with some quirky feeling in between my thighs. Which felt like desire.

“Make love to me…”

I purred, sniffling his sweet scent.

God knew I’ve missed this a lot, but thanks to my hard-headed nature, I made bad things happen.

“You sure don’t mean that, red. I don’t want you waking up and regretting you did this,”

“I had a shitty day, Liam. Please make love to me,”

I pleaded, having no idea of what I was doing.

“We aren’t even in a relationship anymore, remember?”

Liam said, but I connected my lips with his, kissing him widely but he didn’t even kiss back. Instead, he separated his lips from mine, in an attempt to control me.

“I was overshadowed by my own countenance and wishful thinking, for that I’m sorry,”

“Now fuck me,”

I only heard a chuckle from him.

“Just how much exactly did you drink?”

I took his lips one more time, but he pulled away, standing up. I closed my eyes in hurt.

“You’re just going to leave?”

I muttered, asking. I did feel like I was about to cry.

“I’m locking the door, red. Don’t want any maids ruining our moment,”
