Chapter 42 ELDRIC RAVENSCROFT.
SLOANE'S POINT OF VIEW.
I whimpered as Lucien pulled his length out of me, as my skin brimmed with the aftershocks of my orgasm. With a deep grunt, he thrusts inside me again.
"We can't let a drop waste, can we?" He whispered from behind me, tugging on my hair as his cock thrusts his cum further inside me.
I moan under my breath as he pulls his cock out of my pussy.
Before either of us could say anything, there was a knock at the door.
My breath caught in my throat as I froze in Lucien's arms. His jaw tightened as he stared at the door.
The person knocked again, this time, it was three slow taps, but it felt as though the sound reverberated through the core of my being.
Lucien said no one was home; that's why I agreed to come with him to his father's house. The only time he and I were together, apart from my house, it was at an apartment he owned a few streets down from this one.
I stared at him with fear mixed with nervousness in my eyes, as his hands tightened on my arms.
"Lucien.." I whispered, as my heart pounded in my chest with fear. He doesn't turn to look at me; instead, he growls lowly.
"Don't." His shoulders were tense as he stared at the door with a tight expression. "Don't make a sound."
The knock came again, this time, the person tapped even harder against the door as though they were letting us know they wouldn't move, not until someone opened the door.
I swallowed hard as panic gripped my throat in a vicious grip.
What if it were his father?
What if Eldric Ravenscroft was standing right outside, waiting for someone to open the door, so he could rip me to shreds for being in his son's bed?"
Lucien finally released me, rendering me cold as his body heat vanished from me, plunging me into the darkness of my fears and panic. I bite back a whimper as his cum runs down my thighs, as evidence of what we'd just done. Humiliation grips me tight as I look at him with uncertain eyes.
He bends low and picks his shirt off the floor. "Put this on." He says, passing the piece of cloth to me.
His voice was low as he commanded me. I suddenly felt dirty, as he ignored my very presence and focused only on the door and whoever was behind it.
I fumbled as I yanked it over my head. The fabric swallowed me whole and reached my knees as I stood. My hands shook so badly I could barely pull my arms through the shirt. With my body close to the table.
All I wanted to do was escape this place, to be anywhere but where Eldric Ravenscroft might find me.
Lucien didn’t bother covering himself.
Rather, he stood there in all his naked, furious glory, with his muscles flexing as he ran a hand through his messy hair angrily, then before I could blink, he strode toward the door like a predator about to corner prey.
“Lucien, wait-” I called, as my heartbeat thundered in my ears. I could practically taste my fucking beating heart, as I feared what would happen to me if he left me alone in here.
His head snapped back toward me, as his blue eyes suddenly burned black. “Stay. Here.”
I froze where I was, my heart hammering, as he walked across the room. His steps were deliberate and controlled as his hands clenched into fists beside him.
The knock came again, but this time Lucien was already at the door. He didn’t open the door immediately; instead, he leaned against it, as his back muscles flexed, while lowering his voice into that silken, lethal drawl that both terrified and thrilled me.
“Whoever the fuck you are, you’ve got five seconds to explain why you’re at my door.”He said, and we were met with one thing;
Silence.
Then, a smooth chuckle filtered through the wood, deep and cold, and my stomach dropped.
“Is that any way to greet family, son?” The voice responded, and my ears lit up as every pore of my being rose at alert.
My blood turned to ice immediately.
Eldric Ravenscroft.
I slapped my hand over my mouth, smothering the gasp before it escaped my lips, but Lucien didn’t even flinch. Rather, his shoulders remained relaxed, as one of his hands braced on the doorframe.
“Family doesn’t knock,” Lucien said, his voice flat. “They invade.”
“You wound me, son,” Eldric said, his voice dripping with mockery. “Why don’t you open the door so we can discuss this…properly?”
I could feel my pulse in my throat, in my wrists, in the mess between my thighs.
I was shaking so hard I thought I’d collapse, as the fear of Eldric seeing me as this filled me, but Lucien? He almost smiled.
“You reek of desperation, Father. It's pathetic, look at yourself.” He said, shocking me. I never expected anyone in their right mind to speak to Eldric like that, ever. He was the patriarch, the king of everything in this world. His family started everything, and he was currently the head of it all, before Lucien would take over. He was respected at school, almost to the point of being revered, because everyone, from teachers to students and everyone else, knew not to mention his name unless they were showering him with praise and accolades.
Hearing and seeing Lucien speak to him like this... it filled my heart with a deep-seated fear. Lucien wasn't normal because no one in their right mind would talk to someone as powerful as Eldric in this manner.
The silence on the other side turned heavy and dangerous. The air in my lungs constricted as my lungs refused to work.
Finally, Eldric’s tone sharpened as he spoke in a tone that seemed restrained. “You forget whose house you’re in, boy.”
Lucien let out a low laugh at his father's response.
It was dark and amused, and he glanced back at me over his shoulder for a moment that seemed to last forever, as I stared at him while trying to catch my breath. The look in his eyes made my stomach flip immediately. It was possessive, merciless, and unyielding; his eyes were still in that dark hue that made my stomach clench with fear, and for some reason, I wanted to hide from it.
“That’s where you’re wrong, father,” he said softly, but his gaze was locked on mine. “You forget who I am. This house doesn’t own me. You don’t own me. And you sure as fuck don’t touch what’s mine.”
My lips parted with shock as my breath stilled in my throat.
Mine.
He’d said it like it was a vow, like a brand he'd want to imprint in my mind, until it fucked me over.
Eldric’s reply was quieter this time, almost too quiet. “Careful, Lucien. You think you’re fire, but I made you. And I can snuff you out just as easily.”
Lucien’s grin widened, his eyes were still on mine, as the stretch of his lips sliced through my mind. “Then you’ll burn with me.”
For a beat, there was nothing. Just the sound of my pulse, as it resounded frantically in my ears.
Then…all of a sudden, I heard footsteps retreating. It was slow and deliberate, fading into the distance.
Lucien stayed there a moment longer, with his head bowed, as his hands braced against the door as though he was holding back the devil himself. When he finally pushed off and turned back toward me, his eyes were wild, glittering like storm-tossed obsidian.
I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came from my lips. My body trembled, as fear still hadn't let up from its grip on my throat.
He stalked back to me in three strides, his long legs walking to me in all his naked glory. His cock grew hard as he stopped before me, his hand gripped my chin, forcing my gaze to his. His breath was ragged as he looked at me with what seemed like a false calm.
“You see now, sunshine?” he whispered, as his eyes burned into mine. “This isn’t a game. He’ll destroy you if he ever gets the chance. But as long as you’re with me, he doesn’t touch you. Ever.”
I blinked rapidly, as my lips parted, but all I could feel was the weight of his dominance pressing down on me.
He didn’t ask if I understood. He didn’t need to, because he lifted me in his arms and pressed my lips to his in a feral kiss.
Because in that moment, I realized one thing;
Lucien Ravenscroft wasn’t following anyone’s lead. Not even his father’s. And if I stayed in his fire…I was never getting out.
