Chapter 219 THE GREATEST LOVE

Chapter 219 THE GREATEST LOVE
AURORA’S POINT OF VIEW.
THREE DAYS LATER.
I did it.
I let Kai and my mum take me to the shrink, Misha. I’d felt nervous, anxious, and a tad bit scared. But I wanted to do it…..I needed to. “Miss Evermore, your mother says to call you that; is that alright by you?” she’d asked. I nodded, rubbing my palms together.
I didn’t want to be associated with a man like Armando any longer… so I was not De la Vista. My mother is my family; always and forever. Misha gives me a warm smile, a pristine white coat and gloved hands gave me the feeling that this was a hospital, and not a shrink’s hut. I felt Kai’s strong, warm grip on my back from before, and the soft hug my mom had given me before I walked in here.
The spot my mother had to carry me into years ago.
Misha had said they could not come with me; that I had to do this all alone. “Lay on the reclining chair, Aurora,” Misha commanded softly, her smile ever so warm as she pulled out a syringe.
“W-what’s that for?” I gasped, my heart rate spiking.
“Oh, not to worry.” She chuckled, for some reason, the sound felt….off. “It’s only a medical concoction to ensure you’re tethered to this part of the world while you go under.” She explained, and although that didn’t cure my fear, I lay back, facing the ceiling.
“Good.” She whispered, and the hairs on my neck rose. “Focus on the black dot in the ceiling; not the colors surrounding it….but just the dot. When the safe word is used, you will disappear from this realm and dive deep into your mind….understood?” Her voice was….haunted.
I felt the prick of a needle before I could say anything, along with hands…many of them holding me down. “I…..I c-c-can’t….m-move.” My words came out as a slur, my eyes rolling to the back of my head, my limbs both heavy and jellified.
“That’s what you get, you stuck-up bitch.” Misha hissed, her tone no longer so warm, gentle, and kind as earlier. I turned to the side…or tried to turn. Nothing I did worked. It felt like my body didn’t belong to me anymore.
“W-who are you?” I gasped, watching her peel off the dark wig to reveal a bald head; clumps of long hair stuck all around. She reached for her mouth, and then, I heard clattering. All of her teeth fell off, revealing jagged, shark-like fangs.
“Hello, dear daughter-in-law…. won't you say hi to your mother-in-law?” She said with a mocking pout. I watched her grab my legs, strapping them to the chair before she did the same to my hands. “I have waited a damn long time to do this, you bitch. You think you can stop me on the brink of my experiment, and go scot-free?”
“Experiment….what are you talking about?” I felt it; the heaviness of my tongue, as well as a numbness. It got harder to speak, and all feeling in my limbs was now lost.
“I was going to make a cure. I studied hard for it….not even sleeping. They say, if you drain your child of all its blood, you can make a cure for any disease. I tried it for all those kids in my belly, but it never worked. Then, I allowed myself to carry to term. I birthed Kai, my cure… my eternal blood bank. Then I kidnap him after playing doting mother to the whiny bitch.
I was so close….but you dared take him away from me! Because of you, I had to suffer like this. Now, you will pay.”
