Chapter 197 TENSION.....TENSION
AURORA'S POINT OF VIEW
He leaned even closer, his lips and mine so close, one move from either of us would make us kiss. He stared from my eyes to my glossed lips, the heat, the desire… the want…the need in them so hot, so….volatile, I felt my inner thighs quiver from it.
I licked my lower lip slowly, the action innocent, but once I did, his eyes followed the move with rapt attention, following my tongue, until it went back into my mouth. For a second, the silence lingered until I heard it. A soft growl followed by, ‘Fuck it.’
His lips slammed onto mine without a second thought, his hands pulling me closer while he ate my face. Deep, satisfied groans flowed from his chest with each brush of his lips against mine. His hands travelled upwards, stopping at my chest for a second before he grabbed a boob. I gasped, my nipple peaking underneath his touch. He moved past, grabbing my throat with a firm, tight grip, but not without room for me to breathe.
The action wrung a gasp from me, and once I did, he invaded my mouth with his tongue. “Hmm.” I moaned along with him as our tongues battled for dominance. Each time we brushed each other, his grip on my throat and hip grew tighter. After fighting, I gave in, letting his tongue dominate mine.
Just before it could become even more, a sharp rap on the window shattered the moment. I jumped, pulling away from him abruptly like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar. One of the security details looked apologetic but firm. Thankfully, he wouldn’t see inside the car, but his message was passed. They awaited us now.
Kai didn't jump. He didn't even flinch. He just took a slow, steady breath and straightened my hair, along with my dress, his fingers lingering against my skin.
“This isn’t over.” He whispered, pressing his lips to mine for one quick peck, his thumb brushing my lower lip slowly. I saw the battle in his eyes. “I’m contemplating leaving you in here so I can properly feast, or pushing my dinner for later.” He said, his voice heated. I gulped, the hunger in those eyes….it was as though he’d restrained himself, and couldn’t wait to feed on me.
My tongue felt locked, both from that kiss and the words he had spoken. I could not utter a word.
"Time to feed the wolves, Green," he said, his voice dropping back into that cool, untouchable rasp. He reached for the door handle, but before he pulled it, he looked back at me. "Stay close to me. If someone says something that makes you want to bolt, dig your nails into my arm. I’ll handle the rest."
"I'm ready," I said, and to my surprise, I actually meant it.
The door opened, and the silence of the car was replaced by a loud, gushing sound. Their voices overlapped each other until I could barely keep up. “Kai! Over here!” “Aurora, is it true?” “How long has this been going on?” The flashes were blinding, each one going off before I could react. For a moment, my confidence took a dip.
However, I knew not to back down….not when the possibility of seeing Morgan and Denise's faces fall at the announcement. I could already imagine their anger at the published tabloids. They swarmed in once I stepped out, their microphones thrust to my lips. Kai was a rock. He stepped out first, shielding me from the initial surge of the crowd, then reached back. His hand found mine, his fingers interlacing with a grip that was both iron-clad and absolute.
