HAVING HER TO LOSE HER

HAVING HER TO LOSE HER

Chapter 79

CYRIL’S POV

I was forced into believing he had a collateral. Something strong he could use against me that made him so firm with his words.

It took barely seconds for me to process things and realise the sheer emptiness behind his claim. That sent a scoff off my lips, my chest clogging with wark and rage.

“Watch me bring his headless body to you in a bloody sack by tomorrow…..’’

“Will you listen to me, Cyril!’’ Alessia cut in, commanding silence in the haze.

“I'm all yours. I'll leave with you right now if you want me to. Just give back Adrian. Please.’’ She sniffled tearily.

Clenching my fists to shut back my emotions, I emerged with void eyes. Applying the same effects to my voice glands, I spoke.

“You'll both come with me down to the kingdom. While Thompson returns with the pub, you stay back.’’ I declared.

I made Alan join us with a separate car. While Lance drove myself and Alessia, Alan drove Thompson with the assistance of some men in case Thompson moved funny.

The drive was silent. Alessia had her gaze on the road all through, allowing me only a sight of her hair in the dark.

I wanted to ask a thousand questions. Where she had been hiding. How she was doing. If she still felt resentful towards me. How well I'd tried my best to ensure perfect care was administered to Adrian, and that he was doing just fine and she had nothing to worry about.

I wished to pour it all out to her.

“We are here.’’ Lance announced, casting meaningful glances through the rearview mirror as he worked on his seatbelts.

Ignoring the mood in the air, he stepped out to get the door on my end. I threw a last glance at Alessia but not even a bulge from her position was attempted.

“We are getting out.’’ I was forced to say, in a manner I feared seemed too tender.

Lance pulled the door open for me just then, a matter of period I chose to believe was too short to get a response off Alessia. Well, she eventually decided to make a move only after I was out of the car and didn't bother sparing a glance our way when she got out. She quietly headed straight towards the building.

“Are you into her now?’’ Lance echoed behind me, jolting me out of my crazy trance.

“What do you mean.’’ I sprinted out pointlessly, clearing my throat. “Let's head in.’’

“After you.’’ He stated.

“Where is he? Don't you dare tell me you don't have him!!’’ Thompson's screeching voice echoed throughput the living area, like an insane fellow.

“Unlike you darn werewolves, we don't appreciate nuisance in our territory. Will you keep it low or have me take sanction?” Alan shunned in pure irritation.

“Get the pub.” My voice echoed, interrupting their seamless rabble as we walked into the scene.

Alan quietly left for it, not without smearing a deadly glare at Thompson.

“You won't get away with this, I promise you. You'll pay for this!!’’ Thompson went on with his blather nut not for long.

“Do you need a reminder of Alan's warning or you just can't wait to see the worst that'd happen?” Lance sounded.

“Adrian?’’ Alessia called croakily, snatching everyone's attention to herself.

Tracing her white gaze, there stood the pub with Alan behind him.

“Mummy!’’ He called back almost inaudibly.

“Come here.’’ Alessia bolted, falling on her knees to grab him in an embrace.
“I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry I left you. I should have found you no matter what. Can you forgive mummy?’’ She sobbed.

‘‘You kidnapped my son to get my wife. You set me up. You cunning bastard….’’ A heavy punch from Lance sent him staggering to a chair.

“No, I won't have you do that to him. Haven't you done enough yet?’’ Alessia screamed, blocking Adrian with her frame.

“Seize, Lance.’’ I commanded. “Hand him over.’’ I directed at Alessia, referring to Adrian.

“Won't you even allow me a bit more time with him, it's been more than a whole week since I've been with him.’’ She retorted.

‘‘It's one of two options. He either stays back with you or leaves with Thompson. But one thing is certain, and that is you're not leaving this territory tonight.’’ I stated conclusively, hoping to converse the depth to which my mind was made up.

‘‘I never said I was leaving….’’.

“Adrian won't stay back either. Hand him over.’’ Thompson demanded.

“What do you mean, you couldn't even look after him for a few days!’’ Alessia barked defiantly, her arms guiding Adrian from view.

I wouldn't stay back and watch them have their silly couple drama. I took off to my chambers after leaving a signal to my nexts in command. I trusted they could handle the situation in the best possible way.

Reaching for my phone, I dialed Aloha's line immediately.

Maybe it was my sickly resentment towards the whole drama out there, or my unjustified anger for the same cause. I couldn't care any less about what damage was likely to be done by the ritual. I simply needed Aloha to begin preparations for the stir.

“My king.’’ She sounded ever so alertly as always into the line.

“Start preparations for the rituals.’’ I stated firmly, my gaze fixated on the clacking fire in the fireplace.

It was about time we got this whole thing done with. If Alessia had to lose her life in the process, then so be it. I'd long settled on the idea of living without a mate anyway, except that I'd chosen an option to stay with Astrea back then.

Was I really ready to remain lonely for the rest of my years?

Shaking the disturbing thoughts out of my head, I shut my eyes to watch some sleep. But they kept sipping back in. Having to lose Alessia. Never being able to see her again. Not getting to hear her voice ever again. Having her disappear into thin air like she never existed.

I swept the blanket off myself, moving out of bed for some air in the balcony.
