Chapter 211 Chapter 0210

Chapter 211 Chapter 0210
The car was silent, save for the rhythmic sound of tires gliding over asphalt.
Masahiro drove with his usual precision—steady hands, unwavering focus, the kind of control that never wavered.
Matthew, on the other hand, was slouched in the passenger seat, one leg bouncing idly, tapping his fingers against the window like he was thinking of something deeply unimportant.
Arthur sat in the back, lost in his own thoughts, staring blankly at the blurred city lights streaking past.
Then—
“I need to get a lawyer for Cassidy.”
Both Masahiro and Matthew turned their heads slightly.
There was a pause.
Then, ever so slowly, Matthew exhaled and let his head fall back against the seat. “Oh, for fuck’s sake.”
Masahiro, as usual, said nothing—just tightened his grip on the wheel.
Matthew turned his head, looking at Arthur over the seat. “You do realize that finding a lawyer willing to defend a capo—or ex-capo, or whatever the hell he is right now—is already a nightmare, right?”
Arthur’s jaw tensed, but he nodded. “Yeah.”
Matthew arched a brow. “Now add ‘psychopath’ to that equation.”
Arthur looked out the window.
Matthew wasn’t done. “And now—just to make this fun—throw in the little detail that he’s in deep shit with another mafia boss.” He turned fully in his seat, smirking. “Tell me, kid. Where exactly do you think you’re going to find a lawyer who wants to sign up for that circus?”
Arthur exhaled. “There must be someone… anyone willing to take the case.”
Matthew chuckled, low and amused. “I love your faith.”
Arthur ignored him. He leaned forward slightly, gaze shifting to Masahiro. “Sir.”
Masahiro didn’t look at him. Not right away.
Arthur pushed, his voice quieter now. “You must know someone.”
Another long silence.
Masahiro’s jaw tensed, his fingers flexing against the wheel. Then, finally, he exhaled.
“…I’ll see what I can do.”
Arthur straightened. “You will?”
Masahiro’s gaze stayed locked on the road. “I know a man. A lawyer.” He paused. “He might be able to help lessen Cassidy’s sentence.”
Arthur’s chest loosened, just slightly.
“But,” Masahiro added, “he’s… complicated.”
Arthur hesitated. “Complicated?”
Matthew let out a snort. “Oh, that sounds promising.”
Masahiro ignored him. “I can’t promise anything. But I’ll reach out.”
Arthur swallowed hard, then nodded. “Thank you, sir.”
Masahiro sighed. “Don’t thank me yet.”
Another stretch of silence.
Then—
“But for now,” Masahiro said, “I’m dropping you home.”
Arthur opened his mouth to argue, but Masahiro’s tone left no room for discussion.
The drive continued, the city passing by in quiet streaks of neon and shadow.
Arthur stared out the window, mind still spinning.
Matthew stretched his arms behind his head and smirked. “I give it two days before the lawyer quits.”
Arthur ignored him.
Because Cassidy had one shot at getting out of this.
And Arthur wasn’t going to let him down.
The weight of the night settled over him, exhaustion creeping in at the edges, but sleep wasn’t an option—not when his mind was looping through every possible outcome, every argument, every desperate attempt to justify what he was about to do.
Masahiro’s grip on the wheel was steady, but Arthur could feel the occasional glance through the rearview mirror. Watching. Assessing. Probably wondering just how far he was planning to go for a man who should have been nothing more than a criminal in his case files.
Matthew, of course, wasn’t nearly as subtle.
“You’re thinking too hard, kid.” He yawned, stretching his arms. “Just accept it—you’re about to make the worst decision of your life, and we all know it.”
Arthur shot him a glare through the mirror. “I didn’t ask.”
Matthew grinned. “Didn’t have to. You wear guilt like a damn badge.”
Arthur huffed but said nothing.
Masahiro finally spoke, his voice as even as ever. “If you’re going to do this, do it with a clear head.”
Arthur swallowed. “I know.”
Masahiro didn’t respond. He simply turned the wheel, guiding them onto Arthur’s street.
The car rolled to a slow stop in front of Arthur’s apartment building. The streetlights buzzed faintly, casting long shadows over the pavement.
Arthur hesitated before unbuckling his seatbelt, fingers gripping the strap for just a second longer than necessary. Then he turned to Masahiro.
“Please, sir,” he said, voice firm but quiet. “Don’t forget to get in touch with the lawyer.”
Masahiro’s gaze flicked to him through the rearview mirror, his expression unreadable.
“In the end of the day, I’ll give you feedback.”
Arthur nodded, exhaling. “Thank you, sir.”
He stepped out, shutting the door with a soft thud.
Masahiro barely waited for him to disappear inside before shifting gears and pulling away.
For a few minutes, the only sound was the steady hum of the engine.
Then—
Matthew let out a low chuckle, stretching in his seat. “So, do you really know a lawyer, or was that just small talk to get the kid off your back?”
Masahiro kept his eyes on the road. “I know one.”
Matthew whistled under his breath. “Damn. Thought you were bluffing.”
Masahiro didn’t react.
Matthew tilted his head. “Do you really think he’s going to take Cassidy’s case?”
Masahiro sighed through his nose. “Kinda.”
Matthew laughed. “That’s not reassuring.”
Masahiro’s fingers flexed against the wheel. “It depends.”
Matthew raised a brow. “On?”
Masahiro exhaled slowly. “On whether or not he’s in the mood for this kind of mess.”
Matthew smirked. “Sounds like my kind of guy.”
Masahiro gave him a sidelong glance. “That’s not a compliment.”
Matthew chuckled. “Nah, but it’s accurate.” He leaned back, stretching his legs. “So, what’s the angle here? Getting Cassidy out completely, or just making sure he doesn’t end up rotting in prison for the next three decades?”
Masahiro’s grip on the wheel tightened slightly. “Realistically? The latter.”
Matthew hummed in thought. “Arthur’s not gonna like that.”
Masahiro sighed. “Arthur doesn’t understand how this works.”
Matthew grinned. “Yeah, but that’s what makes him fun.”
Masahiro shook his head, but there was no real irritation in his expression—just exhaustion.
The city blurred past them, the neon lights bleeding into the darkened streets.
Matthew drummed his fingers against his knee. “So, let’s assume your lawyer friend does take the case. How the hell do you spin six murders into something that doesn’t scream life sentence?”
Masahiro was silent for a moment.
Then—
“The right connections.”
Matthew huffed out a laugh. “Ah, so favors.”
Masahiro didn’t confirm or deny it.
Matthew grinned. “I love corruption.”
Masahiro shot him a look.
Matthew raised his hands in mock surrender. “Relax. I meant legal corruption.”
Masahiro sighed.
The rest of the drive was quiet, both of them lost in their own thoughts.
When they finally reached their apartment building, Masahiro pulled into their usual parking spot, cutting the engine.
Matthew stretched again, letting out a satisfied groan. “Well, that was a fucking day.”
Masahiro didn’t respond, just stepped out of the car.
Matthew followed, shoving his hands in his pockets as they made their way inside. The elevator ride was silent, the hum of the old machinery the only sound between them.
As they stepped into the apartment, Matthew glanced at Masahiro, smirking. “You know, I kinda hope this lawyer takes the case. I want to see how much worse this can get.”
Masahiro didn’t even look at him. “Go to sleep, Matthew.”
Matthew rolled his eyes and flopped onto the couch instead of heading to the bedroom. “Only if you come with me.”
Masahiro sighed, rubbing his temple, but there was no real fight in it. He stepped forward, leaning down, pressing a slow kiss to Matthew’s forehead before murmuring, “You are impossible.”
Matthew smirked against his skin. “And yet, you love me.”
Masahiro hummed, pulling back, his gaze softer now. “Unfortunately.”
Matthew grinned. “That’s the spirit.”
Masahiro shook his head, but when he pulled Matthew up from the couch, his touch was gentle, familiar. Without another word, they disappeared into the bedroom.
Masahiro laid Matthew down on the bed, their bodies pressing together as he captured the Matthew's lips in a deep, hungry kiss. His hands roamed over Matthew's chest, slipping beneath his t-shirt to caress the smooth skin underneath. Matthew's breath began to quicken, his heart racing as Masahiro's touch sent shivers down his spine.
Masahiro broke the kiss, pulling back just far enough to yank Matthew's shirt over his head. He leaned down, trailing hot, open-mouthed kisses along the column of Matthew's throat before lavishing attention on his sensitive nipples. Matthew gasped and arched beneath him, fingers tangling in Masahiro's dark hair.
"Ah..." Matthew moaned, his body writhing with pleasure as Masahiro's tongue swirled around the hardened nubs. Masahiro chuckled low in his throat, the vibrations sending tingles through Matthew's chest.
While sucking and nipping at Matthew's nipples, Masahiro reached down, deftly unfastening the button of his jeans and tugging down the zipper. He peeled the denim down Matthew's legs, followed quickly by his boxers, leaving him bare and exposed.
Masahiro pulled back, his dark eyes raking over Matthew's nude form with undisguised hunger. He stood at the edge of the bed, reaching for the hem of his own shirt. With a single, fluid motion, he pulled it over his head and tossed it aside. His trousers and boxers followed suit, revealing his impressive length, already hard and throbbing with need.
Masahiro retrieved a condom from the nightstand drawer, tearing open the packet with his teeth in a move that sent a bolt of arousal straight to Matthew's core. He rolled the latex sheath onto his aching length, then crawled onto the bed.
"Get on your knees," Masahiro commanded, his voice low and authoritative. Matthew shot him a sarcastic look over his shoulder, but did as he was told, rising onto his hands and knees and presenting himself to Masahiro.
Masahiro grasped Matthew's hips, lining himself up with his entrance. He pushed forward, breaching the tight ring of muscle with a low groan. Matthew cried out, head dropping forward as Masahiro filled him completely.
Masahiro set a hard, driving pace, hips snapping forward with ruthless force. The sound of skin slapping against skin filled the room, punctuated by Matthew's wanton moans and Masahiro's grunts of pleasure.
Masahiro leaned forward, pressing his chest to Matthew's back as he thrust deeper, harder. His hands roamed over Matthew's body, caressing every inch of skin he could reach. He found Matthew's nipples, pinching and rolling the sensitive buds between his fingers, drawing gasps and whimpers from him.
"Masahiro... Ah..." Matthew panted, his body trembling with the force of Masahiro's thrusts. The pleasure was overwhelming, each drag of Masahiro's length against his prostate sending shockwaves through his system.
Masahiro could feel Matthew's body tightening around him, his impending release building with each passing second. He reached around, grasping Matthew's weeping erection in his fist and stroking in time with his thrusts.
"Come for me, Matthew," Masahiro growled against his ear, his hips pistoning forward with renewed vigor. "I want to feel you come undone around my cock."
His words were all it took to send Matthew hurtling over the edge. He came with a cry, his release spurting from his length and splattering onto the sheets below. His body clenched around Masahiro's length, drawing a hoarse shout from his lips as he followed Matthew into bliss.
They collapsed together onto the bed, Masahiro's weight pressing down on Matthew's back as they both panted for breath. Masahiro pressed tender kisses along Matthew's shoulders and neck, murmuring words of praise and adoration against his sweat-slicked skin.
"You drive me insane," Masahiro whispered against his ear, his voice hoarse but filled with something undeniably warm. "But I wouldn’t have it any other way."
Matthew let out a breathy chuckle, shifting just enough to look at him. "You’re getting soft on me, Chief."
Masahiro hummed, dragging his fingers lazily down Matthew’s spine. "Only for you."
Matthew turned fully, pressing a slow, lingering kiss against Masahiro’s lips. "Damn right."
And for once, the night was easy.
