Chapter 71

Leonardo left very early for the alpha meeting. I could feel him say goodbye to me, but I was too sleepy to reciprocate.

I got up a little better and started to get ready for my appointment with Dr. Anthony. I was nervous; I knew something was going on with my body, but I never imagined this could be possible.

When my phone rang, "Hello," I said.

"Aurora!" said an excited voice on the phone.

"Roberta, my god, how I miss you," I said, smiling at her.

"I told Fabrizio I had to talk to you too. I miss you so much. This pregnancy is driving me crazy. Fabrizio is super protective and won't let me do anything. Can you believe it" she said, a little upset.

"I can imagine. I don't even want to think how Leonardo would be when we expect our first pup. He will go crazy, but he will be like Fabrizio, and that will drive me crazy too," I said, laughing with her.

"Now tell me, how are you," Roberta said.

"Not very well," I said doubtfully.

"Like, what do you mean?" she asked me, worried.

"These last two days, I've been feeling terrible, fragile, I sleep through everything, I've been nauseous," I told her.

"Why Aurora? Is it possible?" she said excitedly.

"Is it possible what?" I said.

"That you are pregnant?" she said, almost yelling at me.

"No, I don't think so, or it could be. I don't know," I said, surprised.

"You have been taking care of yourselves because I know from experience that you look like rabbits," Roberta said.

"After the wedding, no, in fact, I don't even remember that we didn't even touch that subject. We haven't been taking care of each other at all, and for god sake, maybe I'm pregnant?" I said in shock.

"Today, I have an appointment with Dr. Anthony, and I think he will do a test to find out for sure," I told Roberta.

"As soon as you know the result, you have to let me know, well after I tell Leonardo, of course," Roberta said.

"Leonardo is not here, he went to the alpha meeting, and I don't know if he will be back today or tomorrow. It depends how well the meeting goes," I told her.

" I almost forgot Fabrizio didn't go because of my condition, but he told Leonardo that he could count on our unconditional support," Roberta said.

"Roberta, now I am more nervous, and if I am indeed pregnant?" he said with fear in my voice.

"Aurora River, don't even think about it for a second. You are a wonderful moon and an exceptional woman. Of course, you can be a good mom. By god, you and I can be anything we set our minds to."

"At first you will have those doubts, just like me but with time you will be calm, and you will know that you can do this and more, don't worry relax go to your appointment and as soon as you know the result, talk to me."

"You're right, I must be calm, and it will happen what has to happen. I'll call you later. I love you crazy," I said, smiling excitedly.

"Me more."

As I was on my way to the packed clinic, I ran into Aldo, "Ready for training?" I asked him.

"Ready, Luna," he said, smiling, but I tilted my head and stared at him. When we were alone, I had told him he could call me Aurora, and he understands my look.

"Sorry, Aurora," he said, smiling at me.

"That's better, I hope it's a productive day, as I would love to train with you, but I have an appointment with Dr. Anthony, so I will see you later," I told him.

"Alright, please, if you need anything, feel free to let me know, ok," Aldo said.

"Sure, see you later," I said and continued on my way to my car. The clinic was only 15 minutes away. Still, I decided to drive, so I wouldn't get exhausted thinking that maybe I was pregnant, so I took my white Audi that had been a gift from Leonardo. I love this car.

When I got to the clinic the nurse, the nurse did her routine check-up for my appointment. They checked my weight, blood pressure, temperature, absolutely everything, and being a moon of the pack. It was an extra check-up for me.

"Ready, Luna, you can go to the office now the doctor is waiting for you," said the nurse. I thanked her for her kindness and headed to the office.

"Anthony, good morning," I said, smiling at my doctor.

"Luna, what a welcome surprise," he said, getting up to greet me.

"My goodness Anthony, after all, we have been through, you can call me Aurora," I said, smiling.

"Okay, Aurora, tell me, how can I help you?" he asked me.

"I haven't been feeling well. Lately, headaches, fatigue, nausea, and being that Leonardo and I haven't taken any protection. I have a sneaking suspicion that I might be pregnant," she said doubtfully.

"Wow, that would be huge news and a great joy for the herd to know that our future alpha is on the way," she said, smiling at me.

After listening to Aldo about the attack and not contacting Aurora, after hearing her so weak.

Velkan and I immediately left the alpha meeting. We arrived at my pack and saw what had happened. There were bodies on the road of the exiles that had entered the territory, and some pack members were also wounded.

"Aldo!" I said when I saw him. I approached him worried about my Luna, "Aurora, where is she?".

"Alpha, it was all very fast, she was on her way from the clinic, and I told her to go back and seek shelter; she told me she was coming halfway; that was the last I heard from Luna," said Aldo.

"Velkan, take care of checking the damage and security; I'm going to look for her. I need ten warriors to go with me?" I asked.

"I will go, with Beta Velkan here; I would rather go with you Alpha and look for our Luna," said Aldo.

"I thank you."

"We are available too," said Renata and two more warriors.

"Alright, get in my truck. We are leaving," I told them without wasting any more time.

I drove at full speed. I was afraid that something had happened to her, my Luna, I tried several times to contact her through our mental link, but nothing could not even my wolf Loy feel her close.

"Alpha, stop, it's Luna Aurora's car," said Renata.

I stopped the van, and we all got out, "Aurora, Aurora," I shouted as I approached the car, it was a wreck, and my Luna was nowhere to be seen.

"What could have happened?" asked Aldo.

"Look for her scent, try to find her fast," I said furious, there were tracks of more people approaching the car; someone must have carried her. It doesn't look like they dragged anyone.

“ I can smell her. She was here”, inside the car was still her bag; I took it and put it in my truck; I started walking trying to find her, "Auroraaaaa" I shouted desperately.

"Luna Luna!" shouted Renata and Aldo.

"Alpha, there is no trace of her," said Aldo.

"Let's go back to the house and organize a search," I said as we all got into the van and headed back to the main house.

"Leonardo, any news did you find her?" my Beta asked me.

"Nothing, there was just her car, overturned something hit her, but she was nowhere to be found, we need to organize a massive search, we need to find her," I said, concerned.

"How are your wife and my niece?" I asked him.

"They are safe, and they made it to the security room. There are few casualties, many wounded; this was not a random attack. The rogues waited for you and me to be gone," Velkan said.

"What do you mean?" I asked him.

"I think you know who is responsible for this," Velkan told me.

And my claws started to come out of my fingers, and I closed them in a fist, just thinking about the person responsible for the disappearance of my mate.

"Mateo!" I said, furious, almost unable to control my wolf Loy who wanted to go out and look for blood, the blood of the wolf who dared to touch our Luna.

"If Mateo is responsible and dared to touch a single hair on her. I'm going to castrate him slowly and wish he was never born," he said with fury in my eyes.

"Let's go to my office. I have to call Fabrizio and the alphas; we have to look for her," I said, and we immediately walked towards the house.
