CHAPTER 130 DEVIL IS IN LOVE BUT SCARED

“He is in love, Tyler, and if I try not to pursue her, the Devil will. My heart raced like crazy. You have no idea.” Of course he does. His heart is also racing, but it is not because he is in love with Selena or trying to ruin his friend’s chance. The two of them getting together is a bad idea. What would happen if they both learned about the past? Selena will hate him for her father’s death, and he will despise her for being the child of a hunter who murdered his parents. As far as Tyler knows, Titus will not let this go if he finds out. He would slaughter her entire family and not feel guilty about it.

He has to prevent him from repeating his mistake. Certain truths are not meant to be discovered as well. Sometimes they are meant to remain hidden in order to save lives. “Titus. Please don’t go, find someone else. I understand it will not be easy, but please listen.” Titus is stubborn. Of course, he will not listen.

“I think there are other reasons you don’t want me to go.” He put his hands on his hips. “Tyler, spill it. What is it? And if you are in love with Selena. I won’t allow it.” He placed a hand on Tyler’s shoulder.

“You have a mate; why don’t you take care of her and try to rekindle your love instead of destroying mine?”

“I can’t give you the whole reason.”

“Great. I will leave then.” Titus turned to leave, and Tyler did nothing but watch him go. He will have to stop this from happening. He will have to ensure that they don’t come together. He will have to keep Selena from falling in love with him, even if it means telling Trisha everything he knows. Tyler could feel a big storm approaching. If they both fall in love, they will both suffer.

“Now that you are a member of our crew, how would you like to match bags and outfits with me?” Selena spoke to Max. “I also heard Trisha mention that you own the same car as I do. I think it will be helpful to us to become Queens of Seattle High together.”

“But that is unfair.” Dalett dropped her ice cream cup on the table while talking. “You said you didn’t want to match anymore, but now you want to do so with Max? The girl you...” Trisha immediately covered her mouth before she could finish.

“What’s wrong with you?” Trisha pulled Dalett aside. They looked back at Selena, who appeared to be having a good time. “Dalett.”

“What?”

“You can’t keep doing this.”

“Well, I am sorry. But don’t you hear what she said?”

“I heard. Clearly. Dalett, we all know Selena treats her this way because her brother saved her life. It’s not surprising. You should be patient with her, alright? It will pass.”

”Do you think so?” Dalett asked.

Trisha nodded. “Yes, please. Corporate.” Dalett nodded. Trisha returned to her seat and sat down with them. “Okay, Max. Are you having a good time?”

Max nodded. “I am. Thanks to Selena, I think both of us will go a long way.” Max said. She now realizes that Selena doesn’t remember things and is not pretending to. Does she truly can’t remember anything at all? So, what happened? How did this even happen? She was aware that Selena had been in an accident, but she had no idea she would be unable to remember anything. Max smirked. Alexander has to find out about this.

Trisha put her hand on Max from beneath. “You can’t tell anyone about this. Please.”

“I wasn’t intending to.”

“Not even mind-linking your brother. If he finds out, things could go wrong.”

“I promise you, Trisha. I won’t.” Max smirked as she gave her word and quickly mind-linked Alexander.

“There is good news, brother. You will like this one.”

“What is it, my dear sister? I love it when you give me good news.”

“Well, brother, this is about Selena. She might not have died in that accident, but she had lost everything.

Alexander scoffed. “I don’t understand. Did she go mad?”

“No, Brother. She can’t remember anything. You can use this information however you want, but Titus must not find out that I gave it to you.”

“Don’t worry, sister. You did a good job. I had a good feeling that the shopping would go well, and it did. Now it is time to get serious about finding Easton as well as having him come and take his rightful title.” There was something no one knew about the trip. Alexander had brought Max’s wolf back. They had gone to see some kind of warlock, but there was one condition: Titus had to leave. Max simply could not say no. She may love Titus, but she feels more alive and stronger with her wolf.

“Are you listening, Max?” When she heard Selena’s voice, she immediately broke the mindlink and looked at her. Her eyes widened as if she had been caught red-handed. “Didn’t you hear what I said?”

“I apologize. I drifted off for a moment. “What were you saying?”

“I was saying we were going now.” Selena looked around and couldn’t find what she was looking for.

“Your brother is nowhere to be found.” She turned back to Max.

“He left. I can find my way back home.”

“Of course you can,” Trisha spoke as everyone stood up. “See you at school on Monday, Max.”

“Yes, I would love to see you at school on Monday.” Selena waved as she left the ice cream shop with her friends.

Alexander could not help but laugh. Now he could have his way without Titus ruining things, but first, he needed to make friends with a fish. Since that day, he had kept Hania’s scent in his mind. He went to the human settlement to find her. Alexander saw her getting into her car and tampered with it before she got in. By doing this, he would be able to approach her in the middle of the road and extend his hand.

He ran through the woods while she was driving, and the car came to a stop as expected. In frustration, Hania got out and groaned. “Not right now. Okay!!!” she yelled. She opened the hood and everything was in perfect condition. With her phone in hand, Hania got out of the car and headed for the woods. While waiting for the person she had called to inspect her vehicle, she decided to go sightseeing. She moved through the forest, realizing she was back in the same area where she had first met the guy. She placed her hand on the tree, right where the bullet had gotten stuck. Hania could not see the bullet anymore. She could only make out the imprint it left. When she noticed someone had removed the bullet from the tree, she immediately thought of him.

When Hania heard rattling in the grass, she diverted her attention. She reached for her back pocket and pulled out her electric rod. She keeps it with her wherever she goes in case she encounters danger. Nobody would have noticed the rod unless she had removed it and re-sized it because it was so small. As Hania approached, her rod was held just before she struck.

“It is just me,” Alexander stated while holding the rod. Fortunately, it was not on. Unless he would already be toast.

“You?” Hania was startled when she saw him. “What are you doing here?”

After releasing her rod, he turned to face her. “I have come here to...”

“Fish,” she finished. She combed her hair with her hands. “In fact, I thought you were starting to stalk me.”

“Why should I? What are you even doing here?”

Hania exhaled. “My car has broken down. Now I have to wait until the tow truck arrives.”

“You don’t have to be angry about that. I know about cars. Please let me assist you.”

“Really?” When he nodded, Hania gave in. “Alright, helping will not cause any problems anyway.” Alexander trailed behind her, grinning, as she moved towards her car.

Putting down an assault rifle in its current position. Patricia suddenly remembered something strange. She turned to look at Ferdinand. “Do you think the Alpha has been quiet lately?”

Ferdinand took a deep breath. “We haven’t smelled him in the last two full moons.”

“Not even the beta that attacked me.” Patricia approached Ferdinand. “What should we do about this? Draw them out?”
